Morning everyone,
Cooler today and a very light drizzle in the air. Hoping it dries up as I have washing to do today. I have news.....drumroll please.... the woodwork in the hallway and landing is finished hurrah!! We are having a night off from DIY tonight. Nothing on at the cinema that we want to see, so will watch a film here.
I had the A!di skinny sausages the other night, so will post photos of the ingredients shortly in case anyone's interested.
Good news about DMum @bubbs
STS is good @Abbafan1972, well done. Definitely mix up your food though - have you looked on the app for recipe inspiration? I have weeks where we eat old favourites and then a week where we try new recipes and some of them stick, like the sausage, courgette and pea risotto which we had again this week. I hear you about the consultant as our group is in the same predicament. No perm consultant so we now have one drafted back from 'covid retirement' until someone is found.
WFH again today and food will be:
B - fruit wheats, blueberries, mullerlight - HEB, S, 0.5
L - LO fried rice with ham, peas and egg - P
D - maple glazed pork loin, new potatoes, carrots, peas - 2
HEA - milk
HEA - mini babybel
Syns - hi fi bar plus 2.5 plus a rum and pepsi max so 8.5 total

Morning all, looking quite cloudy again this morning but hopefully it will brighten up later like it did yesterday. My washing dried in a couple of hours which I was quite surprised about as there wasn't any wind at all. There's definitely a bit of a breeze today so your washing should dry @Coxy11!
Looking forward to getting away in the motorhome but of course I've needed to move my meals around as not everything is easy to cook in there as I've only got 3 rings and the oven is absolutely useless so doesn't get used! So for a weekend I tend to just take some HM ready meals from the freezer and then just need to reheat it and cook some rice/pots/pasta plus some veg.
Today's plan:
B - boiled eggs with marmite soldiers - HEB; P; F
L - sweet chilli noodles - P; S; F; 3
D - beef bourguignon, mash, veg - P; S; F
HEA - milk
HEB - bread
Syns - sweet chilli sauce 3; couple of G&Ts 6
Over the weekend we'll be eating out for lunch tomorrow as I have a voucher which needs using up this month as it runs out mid September and we'll be away then! Tomorrow night we'll have a sausage cassoulet for dinner and fry ups both mornings so everything should be on plan as long as I can find something SW friendly for lunch tomorrow!
Have a good weekend everyone. (Not sure whether I'll get back on over the weekend as where we're going has a terrible internet signal!)

Morning all. Well done to your DS @Coxy11 🥳 A colleague called me yesterday asking for some advice for his sister because she's going down the clearing route and apparently my "lead for personal and professional development" role now extends to family members too 🤣
Re: the % on the LM sausages - the 62% on the ingredients list just means that 62% of the ingredients / total product is made of soya protein, and when this is mixed with everything else, the actual protein content is about 16%, if that makes sense? I spend my days at work explaining things like this all the time because it's never very clear - my job is to help people understand data, it's not that I spend my time explaining ingredients lists to people, although they do make good examples to use in the training 😏.
Good to hear your mum got the all clear @bubbs, and hope the injections offer her some relief. Agree that the water tablets mean you can't be far from a toilet. My mum takes them and the first thing she has to know whenever we go anywhere is where the loos are!
Hope you enjoy the weekend away @joedenise and don't have any further issues with the MH.
Yes @maman I am counting down the days - 10 to go (we're almost in single digits!) and more importantly only 6 working days and 5 more presentations between now and then. We're off to Florida, and more specifically Walt Disney World, because we're 2 big kids 😆 This weekend we're packing so if I don't have it now, then it's not going with us.
As we're going away, I took advantage of the free Gousto box offer that was going around a few weeks ago. It means we won't have food to try and use up or even throw away before we go. Have picked meals that are as SW friendly as possible and also ordered for 4 people so we can cook and freeze half ready for when we come back which means we won't be resorting to takeaways to get us through the first few jet lagged days on our return 👍 Box is coming today but have planned to start using it from tomorrow as no idea when it's arriving.
Breakfast this morning was the usual yogurt and blueberries, lunch is a portion of vegetable chilli from the freezer with some pitta bread and dinner is salmon with some kind of potato and mixed green veg.
Hope everyone has a good day and weekend, will be back on Monday.Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20171 -

Well done on finishing the hall and good idea to have a night off.👍🏼
I know it's disheartening @Abbafan1972 but do keep plodding on. It will shift in the end. As well as making some menu changes to make it interesting, I'd suggest you keep a food diary with everything that passes your lips. The week I eventually lost 2lbs I made sure I was well within syns as I know I can get lazy and estimate sometimes.
I'm sure you'll have a great holiday @ruby_eskimo. I've been to Disney Paris and loved that. I'm not a big one for roller coasters but I loved the rides for little ones and we stayed in the pink palace with all the characters roaming around at mealtimes. 😁 Thanks for the explanation about the protein content too.
Have a great weekend @joedenise. I'm sure you'll be keeping to the 'good when I can'. principle.😉
I've done my meal plan and shopping list so will hit Aldi later.
Today's EE plan-
B- HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks, fried eggs (P), tomatoes and mushrooms (S)
L- LO hash, veg, pickles (P,S.F)
D- fishcake, SW chips, peas (F), carrot chips, broccoli, sugar snaps, tomatoes and mushrooms (S)
Syns- Morrison's fishcake 2, weekend wine😁0 -
Hi All another weekend upon us!
@Coxy11 ooh a highly classified mission. The mind boggles : @bubbs good to hear Mum is doing OK @ruby_eskimo glad you cleared up the sausage thing - had my brain in a twizz yesterday too.
Next door have been drilling away at there drive way all day.....fell the need for paracetamol coming on. My lovely neighbours moved to Spain - this new couple are forever doing something....and considering they are in late 70's they make a lot of noise. Still they are very decent.
B Quick slice toast spread laughing cow....rasp and yog
L scramble egg bacon beans sliced tom
D stir fry with salmon and prawns. jelly rasp and yog
Hea Milk and laughing cow L
HeB toast
Syns pot low fat jelly
So whatever you are up to have a good weekend0 -
Change of plan for lunch! We ended up eating out. I had swordfish with potatoes & spinach very nice it was too although far too much butter on the potatoes - there was quite a puddle left in the bottom of the bowl when I'd finished! First time of having swordfish but really enjoyed it, definitely something I'd have again.

Afternoon all
Well took Mum and Dad shopping, when i got there she was nearly in tears 😥 i said what's the matter? she said i hurt everywhere and Dad had a massive explosion Weds25 mins was pouring from him 😥😥
Anyway i have eventually persuaded her to get a cleaner as it was cleaning the bathroom that done it, before it was a no, no NO! i think it is fear of losing independence but her hairdresser is coming week Tues and she is going to ask her if she knows someone in the village as she knows everyone 😂 well mum knows alot as been there 50+ years
Yes Mum only has the water tablets for 3 weeks to see if her feet go down, she had a job to get her shoes on this morning.
We went lidl and Morrisons that's the route 😂 Dad can only have Morrisons fish in batter as that's the only one with no milk in, you will never believe it, it was £3.25 2 weeks ago it's now £5,25!!! 😱😱 Mum said that can't be right, Mum is very savvy and knows the price of everything she buys 😂 anyway got it price checked and yes it was right 🙈 like she said, can't have anything else to got to pay it, she had a few bits in a shopping bag, and few in bag for life carrier bag £42.xx!! Dad's milk, fish and pack of 6 jam tarts (which are £2.69!!) was nearly £17, disgusting!!
