Oh @Jellybaby can totally empathise! Your meal plan looks spot on for today, so that's really good. We could be meno-buddies lol!

Eating healthily just has to be the way forward @Jellybaby, even more important than losing weight.😊

I've put a veggie chilli in the SC this morning as we ate the last portion from the freezer last night.  It was quite economical too as much of the veg was bits of stuff from the freezer that I'd put in there over time rather than waste.

I'm still suffering a bit from post lockdown symptoms. I find it really difficult to look forward to going out as I'd got so used to being at home. I'm much the same with visitors coming here too. It's worrying in advance that gets to me. I'm not scared of catching Covid, quite philosophical about that,  it's almost a confidence thing which is unusual for me. I'd have easily have stayed at home last night instead of going dancing. But I knew I'd be cross with myself if I didn't go and once I was in the car I was fine. Pleased with how I managed to dance too as I'd not done anything much in the way of exercise since the middle of June.

Let us know how the SW sweet and sour goes @Coxy11. I'm always on the look out for recipes using chicken thighs. At the moment I have plenty of Ben's sweet and sour sauce from when it was on offer at £1 but at full price it can be as much as £1.90 a jar. I did notice that it's £1.25 at Tesco Clubcard price and the same in Asda but they often don't have the NAS version. I know @bubbs likes it too.

    Today's EE plan-
B- HEB porridge, HEA milk, berries (S), banana (F)
L- ham (P), fried veg and pickles (S)
D- sausages, mash, LO gravy (F), onions, cauli, broccoli, carrots, cabbages (S)
    Syns- Aldi sausages 1

Afternoon all, been a very busy morning which is why I've only just got on here!

It's been pretty windy so far.  Got a machine load of washing out on the line reasonably early this morning.  Have been to the next town for some shopping in Lidl and Food Warehouse.  DH isn't going to be happy Lidl had sold out of his favourite lollies - he like the knock off almond Magnums - so he'll have to make do with eating the mini ones but he'll probably have 2 at a time because of the size of them!

Hope your mum and dad get sorted at the GP's today @bubbs.  Update us later please.

Well done @ruby_eskimo on your loss, must have missed that!

Hope you get things sorted next week @Jellybaby when you speak to your GP next week.  Why do we have to wait so long for appointments?  It's ridiculous in my area.  It's usually 3 appointments before you actually speak to a Dr; the first couple are a nurse and/or paramedic!

Anyway back to SW things!  Plan for today:

    B - Welsh rarebit - HEA2; HEB; F
    L - gammon salad - P; S; 0.5
    D - vegetable biryani - S; F

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - bread
Syns - LF salad dressing 0.5

    Have a good day everyone.

Thanks everyone.  :D@Coxy11 Despite having a few years on some of my friends and work buddies I'm late to the party for this!  I'm trying to focus on food and being healthy....but mainly food, as that always cheers me up  B)

I know some people love the HiFi bars but you might like to try Alpen Light. They're often on sale for £1 a pack and they are 3 syns or 2 for a HEB. IIRC, the same is true of Aldi Benefit bars. Quite a saving if you want to eat them regularly.

Most of us have tried the SW meals but I can't think of anyone that eats them regularly. Did you buy the chips when you were shopping today @joedenise? 🤔

Change of plan for dinner. We're having salad and chips. I'll cook the (defrosted) sausages anyway and snack on the.

    Afternoon all

    Jelly hugs xx

Well the update is.........they think Mum has something wrong with her heart 😫 all we need! Her feet keep really swelling up and he asked her is she got out of breath going up the stairs, she said we live in a bungalow 😂 but i do when i got to my daughters but put that down to my knee.
So she has to have chest x- ray, knee x-ray, blood tests, ECG but bloods and ECG are next week just waiting on hospital ringing about the x -rays. Really shocked  her

Dad.........he should be sleeping with what tablets he has....he said to the doctor he wants his stoma off, the doctor said you know you can't and the sooner you can accept it the sooner you will sleep better. Is there any other reason you are not sleeping, he said sometimes i have pain...Are you taking your tablets, Mum said yes because i  sort them and give him them. So he has said he is to have some other pain relief before he goes to bed and if this does not work they will re evaluate it.

Mum just wants next week over and then can hopefully see the doctor with the results the next week.

She gave the form in i filled in Friday , said she is going to the carers day next Tuesday

No I bought some last week.  I tried them when I was on my own and thought they were OK but when I did a larger amount for both DH and I they didn't crisp up at all so looks like I'll be eating them when I have them for lunch when DH is out at golf and when we have them in the evening I'll have to have just 100g of sinned ones!  They should last a while as I don't have chips at lunchtime very often!
