Enjoy your wine @joedenise. Whatever is it that your DH doesn't like?🤔
It's strange but I've done a weekly food bank since day 1. I've always had 90% of my syns at weekends and it's always worked. It's the way I got to target and (more or less) managed to stay there since. But @bubbs did much the same with her synful picky teas on Saturdays and now she's finding it hard to get back to target. It's so difficult to explain. ☹️
We've got a mixture of curtains and wooden blinds. I noticed that my (new) next door neighbour has put white, wooden blinds on every front window and they look really lovely.
I was thinking that we've not seen @Gettingtherequickly for a while. She found it hard to get back on track after her mum died. Do post if you're lurking @Gettingtherequickly. 😊

Well done Jelly and TIE.
I am still in range but that's not the point!
Yes furniture came about 1 so cleaned and moved everything, had a cull of "stuff" the sofa was a sofa bed, i put the inners on a free page, someone wanted it so came and fetched it, went tip with everything else.
Food today

Morning all, that's good that you're still in range @bubbs but very frustrating. Even if your sausages were moe than 2 syns each you would still be well within syns for the day!
Lovely to have new furniture and good that you could get rid of the inners of the sofa bed to someone who wanted it. We still have to make appointments to use our tip so we just haven't bothered, although having said that we haven't had anything big to get rid of! I've got a couple of bags of stuff to take to the charity shop but haven't got round to doing that so really must get rid of it soon as it's taking up quite a bit of room.
Going down to my friend's house again today and picking up her dogs to look after them overnight so they don't get in the way of the removal men tomorrow. They are small dogs and it's very easy to trip over them as they love to walk where you're walking! Once she gets to her new house I'll walk the dogs down to her - she's moving about a 10 minute walk away so not too far to walk the dogs back.
Had a very high syn day yesterday and today is going to be fairly high too. Will definitely need to be doing a bit of damage limitation from tomorrow until WI on Wednesday and hope I can pull it back!
Today's plan:
B - fry up with low fat sausages - P; S; F; 2
L - white bait, LTL mayo - 12.5
D - keema curry, rice - P; S; F
HEA - milk
HEB = none planned but may have a couple of crisp breads with Primula light this evening if I'm peckish
Syns - sausages 2; whitebait 12; LTL mayo 0.5
Have a good day everyone.

Change of plan for lunch and a bit saving on syns! The whitebait was horrible so we ended up with a sandwich. I had a marmite sandwich for HEB+1 for low fat spread. So won't have quite as many syns to pull back tomorrow and Tuesday!

I was thinking @joedenise why whitebait should be so high in syns when sprats and sardines are free. I suppose it's frying them in flour? 🤔 You had a good escape there. 😊 Shame about the waste though.
I don't know where I'm getting this energy and enthusiasm for housework from. Usually I don't do any as DH does all our cleaning. It's probably because the weather has cooled down. It's lovely today, warm and dry with a lovely breeze. So the sitting room curtains are blowing on the line and I'll iron them later. I cleaned the windows and washed the paintwork too while they were easily accessible. It can't last! 🤣
Today's EE plan-
B- HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks, scrambled eggs, ham (P)
L- LO savoury rice (F,S), cold chicken (P), salad bits (S)
D- beef in 'red wine' (P,S), SW roast potatoes (F), many vegetables (S)
Syns- cornflour 1, weekend wine😁0 -
It's definitely got to be the flour and frying although I did them in the air fryer with spray oil so probably not quite as high but that's how many syns the app said for half a box.
Having only had a sandwich for lunch I'm really looking forward to the curry tonight.

Evening all
Our tip you don't have to make an appointment but because the bloody bridge is shut out the front instead of less than a mile it is a 16 mile round trip, same when i need to get post!
Really hot here again 30 degrees but there is a lovely breeze.
I made a crustless quiche 1 hexa for all of it
food today
Today i had 2 ryvita 3 syns, 1/2 hexa cheese spread, ham, beetroot and tomatoes, peach and banana
tea salad, piece crustless quiche, chicken and gammon, bit of each, hexb soft pitta, 2 syns lighter then light mayo

That sounds like a nice dinner @bubbs, a bit like choosing from a buffet but you know it's all healthy and SW friendly. Not like the beige buffet that hotels serve up. 😊
Our tip has stuck with the appointment system after Covid. It's really easy to get an appointment and, we find it gives us a day to work towards getting stuff ready to go. It was brilliant when we had our old garage replaced. Before Covid there were huge queues so we like it. We can go over the border into the next council area so just a 2 mile trip. 😁0 -
Just come back and it is wonderful to see all those familiar names.
I stopped posting back when covid started, I just lost heart and sadly all my wonderful weight loss has drifted back on.
I am really struggling at the moment - after 2 years of trying to be careful, due to my asthma and caring for hubs Mum in her 80's - I got Omicrom last month, and after 2 courses of steroids and antibiotics I know I have to do something. Sitting in the garden at 3pm gasping for breath was scary to say the least. Vaxed up to the hilt and still I have struggled. The weight I have put on is shocking and I am only 7 lbs less than when I first joined.
I used to go to group and loved it - and last time I went was Jan 2020 and still at my target. But I am really anxious about mixing and spending 90 mins with folk, it is my problem and I understand some will think me stupid, but I really have suffered these last few weeks and now even more I fear mixing for too long in enclosed space, and what is the point of just getting weighed and leaving.
I have thought about online ( SW sent me email today) but I wonder if any of you have done this and they mention an app, well I only have a small pay as you go Doro phone and I wonder can I just sign up and access it online.
Do you think it is worth it or not, in the past I posted every day and Bubbs photos were a delight. I still have my books so I could get back into it on here, but I just wonder whether I wonder be firmer with joining too.
Such along post - hope you will remember me and tell me what you think.0 -
Hi everyone,
We got home from Cyprus at 4am today. Delay of one hour on the return flight and landed (very dodgily) at Gatwick South and had to get bussed to Gatwick North. You always know when it's been a rough landing when passengers applaud! DS2 and GF got home to ours, unpacked and repacked for a week at church camp in Cumbria so I had to wait around for them to be ready to take to GFs house. Got back home here at 5am. They had to catch a train at 7.30am. Don't know how they managed it all - youth on their side obvs!
Food on holiday has been lots of bread, crisps, rum, dips, some salad, some fish, some chicken. No desserts at all and only one starter. I do feel enormous though and haven't weighed today, just couldn't face it. Have had a good day with malted wheats for breakfast, hi fi for lunch, and a Take 5 beef stir fry recipe for dinner. A small glass of white wine with dinner as we had to gird our loins for working out our holiday spends. We paid for all 6 of us each night and the youngsters were drinking cocktails with dinner!
DH and I went to A!di this afternoon and have stocked up on fruit, yoghurts, veg and lots of lean meat. DH too is feeling larger than comfortable, so we will support each other this week.
Well done to the losers and STS'ers. I have been loosely following the thread but only when in the villa with wifi. My group is now under the care of another leader for the next 12 weeks. They have changed the time to 9am on Saturdays and only one session. Seems they are struggling to get a permanent person in place.
Hi @Vegastare, I joined this thread last year but only rejoined group in Feb as wasn't really losing doing it by myself. I haven't done the online membership only in person. I think it makes you more accountable and I do feel motivated when I come away, so would recommend joining if you're able to.
Have a good evening all,
