That's a relief @bubbs. Glad to hear your mum had the presence of mind to turn on her mobile. 👍

How awful having to evacuate in the heat with your bad leg. Hope it starts to feel better soon. 🤞

I picked at a few LOs from the fridge. I'm amazed I still have an appetite. This heat is so draining. ☹️

@bubbs - Customer Care Number for Talk Talk -  0345 172 0088 - number would be included on a mobile although not sure about the landline.

Morning all.  It was 40 degrees in our house yesterday and I ended up with a bit of heat stroke - managed to get some sleep last night with the fan blasting and a wet towel on me, but still feel rubbish this morning.  Trying to take it easy today but have a few deadlines to hit by the end of the week 😔

Had scrambled egg and more fruit for breakfast, lunch is a chicken salad and dinner is chicken and leek risotto - hope I don't turn into a chicken after all that!

Hope you all have a good day!

🤣🤣🤣 I get days like that too. It's generally an overkill on eggs or beans.

It's a much more manageable temperature today, mid twenties. I can live with that. 😊

We're having a much heavier meal than I'd like the night before WI but I have veg that needs using up and don't suppose it'll matter too much in the grand scheme of things. I'm just in the habit of having a portion controlled pasta (like Bolognese)  the night before, Weetabix for breakfast and then wearing the same clothes for WI. I might even go mad and wear a dress instead of my usual leggings!! 😁 Whatever happens, I'll gain but by how much???🤔

    Today's EE plan-
B- HEB porridge, HEA milk, banana (F), berries (S)
    L- JP (F), cottage cheese (P), salad (S)
D- liver (P), potatoes, LO gravy (F), onions, carrots, cauli, broccoli (S)
    Syns-

    Afternoon all,

Hope you feel better soon @ruby_eskimo and I'm sure if there's a gain @maman it won't be much.

    Today's food:
B - mango, nectarines and yoghurt (0.5 syn)
L - bacon and onion omelette with pickles
D - Roast chicken (again!) with leftover fried potatoes, tender stem broccoli, carrots and sweetcorn

Might use a few syns for an ice lolly later.

Afternoon all, finally got home after WI and shopping about 2pm so was definitely ready for lunch by then so just got the ice cream into the freezer - I found some low calorie small tubs (3.5 syns a tub) in Home Bargains.  They come in a box of 4 - 2 vanilla and 2 salted caramel.  Will report back once I've tried them!  I was actually looking for the mini ice lollies they do which are only 0.5 syns each but they didn't have any.

Only had 0.5lb loss which is a bit disappointing after having a really good week but onwards and upwards (or should that be downwards!).  Still at least it's in the right direction.

Good luck for WI tomorrow @maman.  It probably won't be as bad as you're expecting.  I don't actually think your dinner is particularly heavy tonight - personally I'd call spag bol a heavier meal!  After all you're going to be having loads of veg tonight, I'd think more than you'd have in your bolognaise sauce.

    Today's plan:

    B - cheese omelette - HEA2; P
    L - corned beef and tomato sandwich - HEB; S; 1.5; 1
    D - spag bol - P; S; F

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - bread
    Syns - corned beef 1.5; light spread 1; 2 G&Ts 6

Hope everyone is enjoying the slightly cooler weather today - certainly more comfortable as far as I'm concerned.

It's a loss @joedenise. That's what mattters and maybe your good week will show up in coming weeks. 👏👏👏

I do have loads of veg tonight but my Bolognese is full of vegetables too and portioned for the freezer and I use a measure for the spaghetti so it feels less IYSWIM. 🤔

Yeah, totally understand but have to say pasta is the one food I try to avoid the night before WI!  Quite happy to eat a curry and rice though!
