Chocolate's not good in this weather @beanielou - it just melts and makes a mess, LOL!

Brilliant that your DD is happy to wear your clothes @maman!  Even if either of my DDs wanted to borrow my clothes wouldn't be any good because they are both much bigger than me!  To be honest the pair of them could do with losing weight but neither of them seem bothered about the weight.  As they say you can lead a horse to water but you can't make them drink - it's not because they can't cook it's more a case of can't be bothered so end up with quick easy meals rather than spending a bit of time cooking.  My youngest even asked me if I'd batch cook a load of stuff for her - much as I like cooking I don't want to be cooking for someone else!

My DD2 falls into that category @joedenise. Briefly, she and her DH are like Jack Sprat and his wife! 🤣 He's a wiry build and can eat anything and she just joins him and does the same so that she ends up overweight. ☹️ She did SW for a big birthday bash a few years ago and knows it works but soon went back to her usual ways. ☹️ She was really slim when she was younger but then she played loads of sport. As you said, you can lead a horse..... 🤔

Morning all, it's definitely getting hotter!  I popped out to put some rubbish in the bin and the heat hit me as I opened the door and that was about 9.30!  Goodness knows what it's going to be like by early afternoon when it's at it's hottest and we're not even in the Red Alert area, just the Amber.  Certainly glad to be near the coast and not in somewhere like Central London.

Is that a hifi bar or similar in your ice cream cone @bubbs?  Looks lovely and just the thing for hot weather.  I've got some lollies in the freezer but couldn't have one yesterday as not enough syns after being at my friend's yesterday and having to sly one slice of bread!  Will probably have one later though!  I've 2 different ones - one are 3 syns each the other 6 syns, EEK!  Didn't realise they were that high when I popped them I the trolley - but they are nice!

    So today's plan:

    B - bacon & veg omelette - P; S
    L - pulled pork roll and salad - HEB; P; S
    D - fish pie, veg - P; S; F

    HEA - milk
    HEB - WM roll
Syns - lolly - will probably have the 6 syn one - because I can!

Have a good day everyone and keep safe in this heat and drink plenty of fluids so you don't dehydrate.

Morning all.  Well done on the losses @bubbs and @Jellybaby and that ice cream cone looks amazing @bubbs 😛  My MiL and SiL are the same @maman and @joedenise - they both lost loads of weight on SW for SiL's wedding and then MiL went back to her old ways and has put on what she lost plus some and SiL carried on and ended up halving her body weight (think she lost almost 13 stone 🤯).  She got to target 4 years ago and has now put on over half of what she lost originally 😔  She now has lots of health problems that would be improved if she lost the weight (that was one of her motivators to get to target) but doesn't seem to want to do it, despite knowing that it works.  Trying to support her where I can but it's difficult.

That being said, I've lost a pound again this week so pleased with that.  Got up at 5 this morning so I could get my 5 km walk in before it got too hot (was too warm to try running, even at that time) and already over 2 litres of water down as it's now 34 degrees here.  Had a couple of scrambled eggs with some fruit (watermelon, kiwi, mango and pineapple) on the side for breakfast, lunch is going to be a picky salad plate and then dinner is a steak with potato salad, coleslaw and assorted salad bits on the side.  Oh and maybe an ice lolly to help cool down with later.

Hope everyone is staying as cool as you can and drinking all the water!

You've done so well to have your few days away in London and lose 1lb @ruby_eskimo. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

It's hard to convince some people that SW isn't a 'diet'. It needs a change of mindset to permanent healthy eating with limited treats. I'm not saying it's easy but you can get used to it if you keep plodding. 😉

I admire your willpower, having cheddar in the fridge @joedenise. I find it easier to just have grated cheddar in the freezer for toppings and sauces and Parmesan in the fridge. I occasionally buy DH a treat but I have to be very disciplined not to pick at it. His latest was Wensleydale with Cranberry which is delicious  but I'm safer when it's gone.🤣 Strange how I can ignore the biscuits and cakes but cheese and crisps call to me. I know they're not banned but there are only so many syns and I prefer to have other things.

Hope you get a loss today @beanilou. 🤞🏼

I'm not really an ice cream fan but yours did look very inviting @bubbs. Hope you're keeping cool today. At least, if you've shopping to do, it's cool in supermarkets!

It's due to rise to 30 degrees here this afternoon (29 now). Cool enough indoors at the moment. I have some ironing I need to do but probably not a good idea. 🤔 That's the problem with this sort of weather as cotton and linen clothes need ironing unlike my usual uniform of leggings.

    Today's EE plan-
B- HEB toast, bacon, fried eggs (P), mushrooms and tomatoes (S), HEA1 milk for drinks
L- LO casserole and veg (F,S)
    D- meatballs (P,F,S), pasta (F), HEA 2 Parmesan
    Syns- 0
