That's a great result @bubbs. Well done on your loss. πŸ˜πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

Great that you will get so many meals from the pulled pork @joedenise.

I was lucky today in Aldi. They were putting 30% off stickers on some of the meat so I got a pork joint and 3 packs of 3%fat beef cubes. I'll portion up the cubes for the freezer. We're having smaller portions of meat lately which is healthy but also mse. 😁

Thanks @bubbs. Β Not tried that cheese but looks a bit like plastic cheese to me! Β Happy to carry on with normal cheddar even though it's only 30g.

Well done on your Aldi bargains. Β I rarely seem to time it right for reductions in any of the SMs.

Morning all, thanks for the info @bubbs about the cheese. Β Think we'll just stick with cheddar - I need a cheese which can be eaten as DH often makes himself a cheese sandwich if he's peckish in the evening! Β No way am I buying 2 different cheeses unless I want some halloumi or feta for something in the meal plan!

Going to see a friend today so not really sure what I'll be eating apart from breakfast which was a fry up with sausages so 2 syns! Β If we're home in time for dinner I've got lamb shanks out of the freezer which will be OK until tomorrow if necessary!

Have decided to try leaving the bedroom window and blinds closed to see if it helps keeping the room cool - we get the sun in there in the morning and it seems to hold the heat. Β It seems to be what the "experts" are suggesting to help keep cool with the hot temperatures we're expecting!

    Have a good day everyone.

Afternoon all, exhausted isn’t the word!Β
After another residential including a horribly hot night & plenty of walking I have STS again 😀. Better than a gain I know!
Counting the days now, break up Friday with this heat can’t wait! For the first time in 7 years I have enjoyed my class! Going up to Y6 with them too πŸ€—.
We have a classroom moving day on Wednesday (teachers moving not kids) so I have my class outdoors for PE activities, as it stands supposed to rain πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«. Y6 moving into where I am now so lucky we have air con (only classes in school who do). If this heat is the norm, won’t mind being here next year πŸ˜….
    keep safe all πŸ₯΅
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Wow @TakeItEazy! That must be the only classroom in the country with air conditioning. 🀣 Well done on getting through the residentials with STS. It's not easy when you can't control what you eat. πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

I did all the prepping and cooking first thing, so all I have to do is reheating on the hob and do some veg. We won't eat until about 7.30pm and my dining room is on the north side of the house so quite shaded.Β

    Today's EE plan -Β
B- HEB toast, scrambled eggs (P), strawberries and raspberries (S)Β
    L- Spanish omelette (P, S, F), beetroot (S)Β
    D- chicken casserole (P, S, F), cauli, broccoli, cabbages (S)Β
    Syns - cornflour 1, weekend wine 😁

Glad I left the blinds closed while we were out as it meant the bungalow felt quite cool when we got in even though the temperature was showing as 24 in the living room so it was quite pleasant.

Today's food ended up not too bad and even within syns!

    B - fry up with sausages - P; S; F; 2
    L - bacon sandwich with seeded bread - HEB; P; 9
D - Iceland lamb shank, potatoes, cabbage, green beans and peas - S; F; 2

    HEA - milk
    HEB - seeded bread
    Syns - sausages 2; extra slice of bread 5.5; butter 3.5; lamb shank 2; 0% gin 1

Great that you managed to stay within syns @joedenise.πŸ‘

I've kept the blinds and curtains closed today too and it really does help. DD1 called round earlier to borrow something cool to wear to work for tomorrow. She usually wears trousers. She went off with a long, floaty silk skirt. I saw it as a bit of a NSV that my DD not only likes my clothes but that they fit us both. 😁 That wouldn't have been the case before SW. πŸ˜‰
