Evening all 😁
Well done Denise and thanks for the number, I rang and the whole village is down, perhaps the heat.
Mum sounded so happy as she had been sitting in the garden 😂 first time she had been out the door since Monday as was too hot. Today we have had a lovely breeze and some rain this evening.
Good luck tomorrow maman.

maman said:I know I've said it before @bubbs but the presentation of your food is excellent, worthy of a magazine. You should send the photos to SW, they're amazing. 😁Sealed pot challenge number 003 £350 for 2015, 2016 £400 Actual£345, £400 for 2017 Actual £500:T:T £770 for 2018 £1295 for 2019:j:j spc number 22 £1,457Stopped Smoking 22/01/15:D:D::dance::dance:- 5 st 1 1/2lb :dance::dance:0

Morning all, definitely feeling a bit cooler this morning but much nicer. Only managed to go to Tesco's yesterday and really need a few things from Aldi so going out again this morning to hopefully get the missing things. Didn't go yesterday as it was getting so late with going after group.
Agree with @maman @bubbs that your plates of food look amazing. If the magazines had pictures like that then I think more people would realise it's possible to eat loads and still lose weight - so many people still think you need to eat miniscule amounts of food!
I've decided to change what I had planned today as DH is out at golf (which I didn't know about when I did the menu plan at the end of last month)! So today's it's going to be:
B - Weetabix, strawberries, grapes - HEB; S; F; part HEA2
L - gammon, egg and chips - P; F
D - mushroom stroganoff, rice - part HEA2; S; F
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - milk/Primula Light
HEB - weetabix
Syns - none planned but I did buy some pink and whites so might have one of those
Have a good day everyone.

Went to WI this morning and, as expected, big gain of 6.5 lbs!! ☹️
I'm quite philosophical about it. I looked back in my book and, on the same holiday in 2019, I gained 7.5 lbs and very similar in previous holidays.
Fortunately I was well within range before I went so 2.5 lbs to get back in range. Last time it took until September, hopefully it won't take as long this time.
I'll do my best but SW has to fit around me. It won't start today as we're going out tonight. We have our wedding anniversary next month but, unless anything else crops up, I should be able to sort it out relatively soon.
Very much thinking aloud but it was my choice to relax my 'rules' on holiday so que sera. What mattters is that I get back on plan and keep plodding. 😊
I didn't stay for group as I was meeting friends from a walking group. Consultant was giving people these little pom pom characters to take on holiday to remind them to make wise choices. 🤣
Today I've had my usual pre WI Weetabix breakfast and a hash with ham and egg for lunch. I'll probably have fish tonight but chips and wine will be involved too. 😉
Tomorrow I'll do my meal plan and shop and then start to attack it seriously.0 -
Welcome @BadBookkeeper. Of course you can join us. 😊 Have you done SW before? 🤔1

Morning all, it's very cloudy this morning and my smart meter is definitely showing that we've used more paid for electric than we have been during the sunny weather! Our solar panels were obviously doing their job! The meter is showing a similar amount used to what it has been mid afternoon so looks like it's going to be costing us more now the sun isn't shining!
I'm sure it won't take you long to lose the necessary 2.5lb to get back into target range - you'll probably we there in a couple of weeks.
Today's plan:
B - toasted bacon and tomato sandwich - HEB; P; S
L - LO mushroom stroganoff & rice; if it's not enough I'll have some gammon and salad - S; F (P if I have some gammon as well)
D - Fakeaway KFC, chips, corn on the cob, beans - P; F; 3
HEA - mik
HEB - bread
Syns - frozen chips 3; possibly wine syns or rum (wine if DH fancies some so that I don't end up drinking the whole bottle! otherwise I'll have rum & ginger beer)
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all. Totally agree that you eat with your eyes @bubbs and you've made me actually put some effort into plating meals so they look appealing for once 😆 I'm sure you'll be back in target range soon enough @maman and you're right, SW is a lifestyle change and you need to be flexible sometimes.
Was in the office yesterday and took a walk after work down to Oxford street to return a jacket I'd bought and buy a new one (needed a new lightweight waterproof to take to Florida for the afternoon rain showers) so walked about 6 miles all in 😴 So glad it's Friday and we have virtual book club this evening (the intended host has tested positive for covid!) so a couple of G&T's will probably be consumed. Had usual ff yogurt with strawberries, raspberries and blueberries for breakfast, lunch is a chicken salad and dinner is fake donner kebab with chips and pitta. We're staying at my parents over the weekend so no idea what food will look like but will try and be as on plan as possible - 5 weeks till holiday!

Wot no @bubbs? 🤔 Hope all OK. 😊
Thanks for good wishes. I hope I can get back to target range ASAP.
Sorry to hear your friend has Covid @ruby_eskimo but good that you can swerve nibbles at book club.
Did you install the solar panels @joedenise? I bet more of us wish we had them. I'm amazed at how much electricity we use just for basic stuff like the washing machine. I dread to think what my smart meter will be saying come the winter. ☹️
After the ridiculous temperatures of earlier in the week, it's been so much more pleasant the last few days. We've had a few raindrops but mostly just right.
I made good choices last night. I had prawn cocktail to start and then monkfish with mash and spinach. I had just one G&T to drink and lots of water. Some syns in the mayo and an odd sauce on the fish but otherwise syn free.
I've done my meal plan and shop today so all sorted for the week ahead. 😊
Today's EE plan -
B- HEB toast, fried egg (P), tomatoes and mushrooms (S)
L- JP (F), ham, cottage cheese (P), salad (S)
D- sausage casserole (F, S), pasta (F)
Syns - Aldi sausages 1, weekend wine 😊0 -
We installed the solar panels way back in 2014. We used some of the lump sum from when I got my works pension in 2012 which we'd put into premium bonds as wasn't sure what we were going to do with it other than have a nice holiday! Definitely money well spent. We've got 15 panels which was the most we could get on the roof which is in the right orientation! As well as being able to use the electricity we generate we also get Feed in Tariff payments quarterly which gives us money back. I think the panels had paid for themselves in about 6 years.
I think if you have panels installed now you can actually have the electricity produced which you don't use going to batteries to be used after the penels stop producing so in the evenings and early morning. Wish that option had been available back in 2014!
You meal last night sounds good, love monkfish. Unusual to have it with mash though - I've only had it a couple of times and both times it was served with boiled new potatoes. Well done on sticking to one G&T!
Didn't have much wine! DH managed to knock the bottle off the table after we'd just had a very small glass - it was a wine we hadn't had before so only poured enough to have a taste! Still at least it saved on syns. So we've had G&Ts instead.
