Hard luck @beanielou..Do you know what caused the tiny gain? Sometimes there's no rhyme or reason. ☹️

Morning all, looks like we had some rain overnight so glad I got the washing done in the morning and all dried, folded and put away shortly after lunch.  My friend finally moved in and the removal men were gone by about 4pm so I walked the dogs down the hill to her.  We ended up staying for dinner which was a kebab which another friend collected.  So I had a chicken kebab with plenty of salad and didn't eat the pitta so hopefully only a couple of syns as I suspect the chicken was marinaded in oil.  It made a nice change as we rarely have takeaways.

Did you manage to speak to your GP @Coxy11?  Hopefully you did and have been given something to help.

Sounds like you had a good time with the other lady you met up with @bubbs.  We've been saying on here that we didn't think you were having enough syns!  How come you didn't have the sticky chicken?  This means you still didn't have many syns!

Good luck with shifting that half lb and a bit more this week @beanielou.

We're using the Aldi skin on frozen chips at the moment as neither of the Aldi's we've been to seem to have the Slimwell chips which I was looking for.  I decided to start using frozen chips as DH kept moaning about the HM ones not getting crispy enough.  Next time I go to Iceland I think I might pick up a bag of the SW ones and see what they're like as not tried them.  Of course not making my own chips I now only have a handful (100g) so not as many as when I do make them!

    Today's plan:

B - Weetabix, milk, strawberries - HEB; part HEA, S
    L - hash brown pizza - P; S; F; HEA2; 3.5
    D - pulled pork, chips, corn on the cob, salad - P; S; F; 2

HEA - milk for drinks and cereal
    HEA2 - mozzarella
    HEB - weetabix
    Syns - butter 2; chorizo 3.5

    Have a good day everyone.

Morning all.  Hope you managed to get somewhere with the GP @Coxy11 and it's good that you felt you could talk to your boss about taking time off - some of us don't always get that support.  It's also good to know you aren't alone @bubbs in your battles with SW - hope the increased syns help you and your new friend!  Glad to hear your friend's move went well @joedenise and a kebab isn't the worst choice in the world.

Have to have my own battle with the GP practice today as they've prescribed me something that has a national shortage (phoned every pharmacy in a 10 mile radius and even spoke to the team at work) and need to get them to prescribe me something slightly different that does the same thing.  Going to have to go in and hope someone with some sense will talk to me as don't think I would get anywhere over the phone!  Already been for my walk this morning as its definitely a lot cooler at 5:30 in the morning 😆  Had usual breakfast of ff yogurt and blueberries, lunch is chicken salad and dinner is leftover sweet and sour tofu from last week.

Hope everyone has a good day!

    Morning,

Thanks for the good wishes everyone. GP phoned me at lunchtime and suggested a blood test to check a couple of things. Had to collect the form after 3pm, and sat in chairs to go online and book a test. Earliest appointment is Thursday at 3pm and then a week for the results. I can't be off work all that time (he didn't suggest signing me off), so I will log on later to clear my holiday email traffic and be back 'in' tomorrow from home. I'm only just up and not dressed which is so unlike me.

Sorry about the small gain @beanielou - so annoying x

Dinner last night was lo chicken and chorizo pasta as DBIL invited us round for a BBQ and I couldn't face it. DH and DD went though. I think DH might be meeting a friend tonight - not sure if I too am invited (really hope not tbh). I've put LO spag bol on the meal plan if it's just me.

    Food today:
    B - poached egg, grilled bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes, 2 plums - P, S
L - beans, WM toast, cheese, pineapple, grapes - HEB, HEA
    D - LO spag bolognaise - Free, S
    HEA - milk
    Syns - hi fi bar - 3

Sorry if I've missed anyone's news - brain fog!
    Have a good day all,
    Coxy

Morning everyone, it's bright, it's dry and I've got three loads out on the line. I also did a bit of weeding while I waited for the coffee to brew.  No idea where all this energy is coming from but I'm going with it while it lasts!

Good luck with your GP surgery @ruby_eskimo and hope you get it sorted quickly.

Keep plodding @beanielou you'll get that wee half off next week

    Today's food:
B - f/f Greek yoghurt, berries and mango
L - veggie omelette with pickles
D - steak, chips, loads of roasted veg

Still have HEXB and one A to use if I feel hungry.

    Have a good day all!

That's progress @Coxy11. At least your GP didn't just prescribe something to get rid of you. 😊 I sent the scarf for Lewy off this morning. I decided to just use up the 3 balls of blue wool that I had and add some white stripes. It ended up about 5m long.  I need another project now. Well done for getting back on plan. I'm sure you'll feel better being in control of what you eat. 👍🏼

DH has had similar problems with out of stock medication @ruby_eskimo. Eventually, our GP left DH in the surgery and walked next door to the pharmacy to ask what was in stock before prescribing another brand. I hope you get something sorted. I think I posted on here the other day that it was admirable when the government made an exception for HRT medication but seemed ignorant of the fact that it's a more general issue and has been for some time.

I'm still full of energy too @Jellybaby. I think it must be because we've got lovely weather but without the extreme heat of last week. Today's is easier as it's a couple of throws so won't need ironing. 😄 The downside is that I'm definitely not drinking as much water as I was last week. Must do better. 😉

I'm sure your friend was ready for something easy like a take away after her move @joedenise. I think you made a good choice. It's strange about SW chips. I always make them the same way but the outcome can vary. One problem is when you have a mixture of things in the oven needing different temperatures. But you have an air fryer, do you use that? 🤔

There has been a change in HEXs @Vegastare but you probably knew that. I love the extra HEA for days when I want cheese as well as milk. Sadly just one HEB still, so 3 portions of porridge is quite heavy on syns (HEB +12?🤔).

DD2 and SIL are coming to see us at the weekend. I'm not sure if DGD2 is coming with them. Usually, they like to go to the shops in the city centre and have lunch out as they live in a small town themselves. DH wants us to have lunch here. They'll confirm nearer the time. Just in case, I'm doing extra Bolognese in the SC  today, then I can make a big lasagne at short notice if needed.

    Today's EE plan-
    B- HEB porridge, HEA1 milk, banana (F), berries (S)
    L- veggie omelette (P,S), salad bits (S)
D- Austrian ham hash (P,F,S, HEA2 cheese topping, cauli, broccoli, cabbages (S)
    Syns- 0

Glad you were able to speak to your GP @Coxy11; shame it's so long before you can get an appointment for a blood test.  At least with WFH you can pace yourself a bit.

Hope you can sort out something at your doctor"s @ruby_eskimo and they can prescribe something else which is available.

Another change of plan for today!  Took my friend shopping this morning and left my DH and her son moving some stuff around!  DH also sorted out the door handles on some of the doors as they had been put on the wrong way round!

Got back rather later than intended so changed lunch to a gammon salad which has now used up all the gammon - absolutely delicious!

With the chips @maman I do use the air fryer but even in that they aren't crisping up properly, absolutely no idea why but I'm going to fight about this and I'll just stick with only having a handful of chips until I can get to Iceland and get the SW ones to try - didn't go near one today unfortunately but will probably be able to get to the Food Warehouse tomorrow after group.

As I've got all the stuff out for the pizza I'm going to make it tonight and it can go in the oven at the same time as the frozen chips and we can eat it cold with salad for lunch tomorrow instead.  I'm currently making butter chicken ready for dinner tomorrow night so that will just need reheating and cooking some rice.  Tomorrow should be quite an easy day with getting some stuff done today.

We're going back down to my friends later to help sort out some more boxes and DH is going to put up some curtains for her as well - he put up the poles this morning while we were out.
