@Vegastare - the hash brown pizza is a variation of a recipe on the SlimmingEats website. She has some great recipes online and also has a book which was released the end of last year. Her recipe is for a breakfast pizza but I just use the grated potato base and then top it with whatever needs using up!
I use Morrisons own brand medium wholemeal bread which is 2 slices for HEB or 3.5 syns a slice so much better for SW than most bread! I tend to use Lighter than Light mayo as it is only 0.5 syns per Tbs and I find that's enough to use as a spread on sandwich instead of butter or low fat spread - not much good if you're planning something that mayo doesn't go with though!
I had the SW chips with the pizza and I didn't think they were too bad so I'll happily eat them if I can get DH on board. I think there's only one lot of chips left in the Aldi bag so once it's empty I'll tip some of the SW ones in the bag and see if he actually notices! I suspect he's decided because they are "Slimming World" chips they won't be good as the couple of meals I tried he didn't like at all but when I've cooked the same meal myself he's liked it! Go figure!
Right off to cook some dinner as getting hungry now - we usually eat around 6 but because of group and shopping I didn't get to eat until 2 today so certainly didn't need dinner at 6.

Jo Denise
Many thanks regarding bread tip - did use the light mayo I had instead butter on open sarnie.
My DH or OH actual has really converted to SW style oven chips (do them myself) I very rarely have frozen chips.
Only thing is rather than toss of oil I put in base tin it will be back to be one spray. He also loves crust less quiche - pity he is away till Friday...all mine.
Glad you had a nice time Beanie
Fish and mushy peas tomorrow me thinks0 -
The basic wholemeal bread from Aldi is also 2 slices for a HEB @Vegastare.
I love fish with mushy peas but do try to get some Speed veg alongside. I usually bake some tomatoes and mushrooms alongside the fish for the last 10 minutes or so.

You only just managed to get the sausages on the plate @bubbs. 🤣
Funnily enough I like the crunchiness of iceberg when I'm having prawn cocktail but prefer mixed leaves for a salad. Maybe the tanginess of the seafood sauce covers up the fact that iceberg is pretty tasteless. It does keep better though. 🤔0 -
I'm not keen on iceberg either @bubbs. I either buy mixed leaves or sometimes little gem or romaine - would rather have any of those than iceberg but if that's all you can then it's have that or go without and salad doesn't seem right with be bulked out with lettuce!
@Vegastare - Light mayo is 2 syns a Tbs so quite a big difference. Once you've used up the Light have a look for Lighter than Light as much lower syn at 0.5 a Tbs.

Bubbs have you got a local hospice, they’re usually very good in this situation.
They are not just for end of life ,but for all the problems along the way ,especially symptom control and sleeping.
you can generally self refer ,they could also support your Mum even if Dad refuses at present .1
