Was out for brunch today & had cake.
Off plan on Friday as two years since Mr N flew high.
That was after Master J's anniversary 5 days before that :(

Morning all, another lovely day so another machine load of washing on which will be hung out shortly.  May sit in the garden with a coffee after I've done that before it gets to hot.  I sat in the shade reading my book yesterday afternoon for a while but after about half an hour even that was too warm!  It must be because I'm getting old as I always used to love the heat - no idea what I'm going to be like when we go to Gambia for our wedding anniversary next April (delayed Golden Wedding holiday!).

I'm in the same boat @bubbs - except I'm at the top end of my target range and struggling to lose it to get back nearer to target so just have to accept that that is where by body wants to be.

    Today's plan:

    B - fruit and yoghurt - S; F
    L - Welsh rarebit - HEA2; HEB; P; F
D - Lamb hotpot (from freezer), new potatoes, cabbage, carrots (need extra potatoes because there isn't much on the hotpot!)

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    Syns - none planned

    Have a good day everyone.

Morning all.  Hope you have a lovely time away @Coxy11!  Well done to all the losers and maintainers this week.

Managed to lose a pound this week, even with it being TOTM and going to a BBQ yesterday 😮  Bite is slowly going down and can actually walk on that leg now so fingers crossed should be ok for a day out in London tomorrow.  Have bought  ALL the insect repellent so 🤞 it doesn't happen again.

Had usual FF yogurt and blueberries for breakfast, lunch is a poached egg on toast as have 1 lonely egg to use up and then dinner is salmon with potato gratin and broccoli.  Might have an ice lolly too later.

Hope everyone has a good day and keeps hydrated!

    Morning all,

Back on plan and it's amazing how better I feel even though it's only been a few days.  M & S had lots of salmon and prawns in various marinades on offer or reduced yesterday when I popped in so bought a few packs.  Didn't have my phone with me to scan but was delighted to see last night they're only a few syns at most so will shake up some meals this week.

Bedding is out on the line and I've now got cushion covers and throws to do

    Today's food:
B - sweet omelette, raspberries, strawberries, Kvarg (0.5 syns)
L - flaked smoked salmon (0.5 syns), huge mixed salad
D - chilli with rice, side salad

Hope everyone has a good day!

Glad the leg is feeling a bit better @ruby_eskimo and your planned day in London should be OK, although rather you than me if you're going to be walking around in that heat and well done on the lb loss.

I think we all feel like that @Jellybaby when we get back on plan after a few days off.  I really miss the veg when I go out for a meal as so often you either don't get any or you get a very mean portion which usually includes peas and/or under cooked broccoli or carrots which are impossible to eat!  Alternatively if you ask for a salad you get a very mean side salad with a few lettuce leaves, a bit of cucumber and tomato.  The marinaded salmon and prawns sound nice and bonus being low syn.  You'll have to let us know if they are worth the full price - I often find that I'm happy with something when it's reduced but wouldn't bother if it was full price IYSWIM!

I wish I'd thought about doing myself a sweet omelette this morning with my fruit and yoghurt as I'm definitely already feeling peckish and it's only 11 o'clock so lunch won't be for at least another hour and half if not 2 hours by the time I've made it!

Thanks @joedenise - yes not looking forward to the heat really but I am looking forward to seeing the 101 Dalmatian's musical at the open air theatre in Regent's Park.  At least it won't be raining - that was my big fear!  Think I'm the opposite of you today though when it comes to food - usually I'm starting to get hungry about now but the heat has taken my appetite away!

Unfortunately the heat doesn't affect my appetite so still eat as much as usual!
