Morning all. Welcome back @maman and glad you had a lovely holiday.  Hope your dad is ok @bubbs and thanks for the tips re: the gammon, will try chucking it in the oven next time and see what happens.

Had a busy couple of days in London for work and now I'm working from the sofa as (you couldn't make this up...) I got bitten by a spider while in the conference on Wednesday 😒🤦‍♀️  Ankle is now huge, and I can't really put any weight on it because it hurts too much (it's the pressure of the fluid impacting on my ligament in the joint).  Dr doesn't want to give me anti-biotics because it's not spread far enough yet to warrant it which is fine but just means it's going to take longer to heal, and I'm supposed to be in London again on Tuesday but for fun this time!  Could have just thrown in the towel and order takeaway the last couple of nights but have been good and eaten what I planned instead.  Had FF yogurt with blueberries for breakfast, lunch is going to be poached eggs on toast as need to use the eggs up, and dinner tonight is leftover sweet and sour chicken from the freezer with rice.

Right enough moaning, need to get back on with work.  Hope you all have a good day!

You must be very tasty @ruby_eskimo  but hope it heals quickly so you can enjoy your day out next week.

Tanned and rested sounds like a fab holiday @maman

Hope your dad is OK for shopping trip today @bubbs, our parents sound very similar!

Work is manic and my mood isn't much improved if I'm honest but I'm slowly reaching that enough is enough stage with certain situations and people so will plod on      Meals have been fine but snacking and alcohol will probably mean a gain this week.

Using stuff up today so shopping and new week starts tomorrow - breakfast f/f Greek yoghurt and berries, baked potato with tuna and salad for lunch (2 syns salad cream), spag bol with parmesan for dinner.

    Have a good day all!

Afternoon all, beautiful day today, temperature was up to 23 degrees when we went out shopping this morning and it seems to be getting warmer still.  Decided to soak the whites overnight and then washed this morning so a line full of whites and towels.

Your gas and electric is really high @Coxy11 - do you have a big house?  We're currently paying £145 a month and that's bad enough with us both being on pensions.

When are you actually off on holiday?  Obviously not before tomorrow morning if you're planning on going to WI!  Where are you off to?

Draw the line @Jellybaby and get back on track.  You can do it.

I've had to rejig my menu plan a bit this month and so today has actually ended up as an unintentional Green Day so I could have an extra HEB if I want something this evening!  So today's plan:

    B - Stuffed flat mushrooms - HEA2; S; F
    L - falafels & salad in pitta - HEB; P; S
    D - mixed bean goulash and rice - P; S; F

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - pitta
Syns - none planned but will have something to use a few

Hope everyone is having a good day.

We have a 5 bed semi @joedenise - seriously need to downsize in the next 2-3 years as only DS2 at home at present. Both he and DD will be at uni in September (fingers crossed) and DS1 moved out last year. House is too big but they keep coming back lol!

We are going to Cyprus tomorrow to see my Dad - DD and DS2 are coming along with their partners. Will be the first time they've seen my DDad since 2019. Unfortunately compulsory masks have been reintroduced from today as Covid cases are rising there.

Not been to Cyprus for a very long time.  We stayed at an apartment which belonged to one of DH's staff so a fairly cheap holiday as he wouldn't take any "rent" so it was just flights and spending money.  We stayed in Phaphos.  Where does your Dad live?  Have a great time.

Ouch to the 🕷️ @ruby_eskimo. Hope your leg improves very soon.

Try to resist the snacks @Jellybaby, or at least think up some SW friendly ones to limit the damage.😊

When I was away, I mostly had G&Ts as not keen on most Turkish wines. This time it was easier to get slimline tonic too which is better than it used to be. I'm having gin tonight too so that will save a few syns. I need to check back and see when I need to go to WI next. 🤔

I did my meal plan and shop so well stocked and organised for the week. 👍

    Have a lovely holiday @Coxy11

    Today's EE plan -
B- HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks, baked beans (F), bacon, fried egg (P)
    L- sardines (P), salad bits (S)
D- baked salmon (P), SW chips (F), tomato, mushrooms, green stuff (S)
    Syns - gin! 😋

Thanks everyone, we are off at lunchtime but I'm going to group first! Have definitely had a gain and won't be staying as have a few last minute things to sort in town including renewing my library book and buying some sani products as due for TOTM in the next few days. Of course they sell them in Cyprus but would be just my luck for it to happen on the plane today!

DDad lives in the hills above Paphos but we are staying in Coral Bay which has more going on for the adult kids. I am looking forward to a break rather than having to take DDad to medical appointments this time!

Hope the bite heals soon Ruby x
Thanks for the PM bubbs - good to know!

Afternoon all, no idea where the morning has gone!  Haven't even done much but it's absolutely flown by!

Enjoy your break @Coxy11.  Glad you don't need to take your Dad for medical appointments this time so you should be able to enjoy your holiday this time.  Hope WI wasn't too bad for you.

Yesterday didn't go to plan!  We got a TGTG bag from an Italian Deli so we ended up having some of the bits we got from there, some quiche I'd made for weekend lunches, chips and salad.  Definitely syns there including plenty of oil!  Also had some G&Ts so a very synful day all round.  Line drawn and back on it today!

    Today's plan:

    B - fry up - LF sausage, bacon, egg, mushrooms, tomatoes, beans - P; S; F; 1
    L - quiche and salad - P; S;
    D - prawn curry, rice - P; S; F

    HEA - milk
    HEB - none planned
    Syns - sausage 1;coconut milk 2

    Have a good day everyone.
