Well done to your DS @beanielou

We had 'crow-gate' just as I was leaving to take DS2 to school. Bloody crow fell down the chimney yesterday and was stuck behind the cast iron fireplace. DH had to lie on the floor and reach into the abyss with a gloved hand to try to reach it. It eventually jumped out of the fireplace, s**t all over DS2's carpet and left via the window - was like a scene from IACGMOOH with DH rescue attempts!

I would have been raging at the pharmacy too @bubbs. Good that you've decided to go a different route with getting the repeat prescriptions. Sounds like a good plan. Hugs to your DDad - he sounds a lot like mine. Just wants a quiet life :(

Off to eat curry and drink rum! My poor tummy has been really sore today so will have to go easy tonight!

That sounds horrific with the crow @Coxy11. I didn't expect it to be still alive. Yuk!

I expect your dad hated that there were so many problems for you over medication he wishes he didn't need @bubbs. As if he'd caused the problems!!! ☹️ Hopefully it will be much smoother now with deliveries. 🤞@bubbs

I used up the last of the KFC mix today. What's on your chicken for 2 syns @bubbs

Good luck to you both with WI tomorrow. 😊

It's been a lot for him to take on board @bubbs. ☹️ I'm sure you're glad you've still got him but it's tough for him to cope with. My dad died of a sudden, massive heart attack at 63 which was tough for us but he didn't have to cope with deteriorating health and all the things your dad is suffering. ☹️ He's doing really well under the circumstances.

I'm sure the chicken was worth the syns. I use honey when I do chicken stir fry and 2.5 seems a lot but we enjoy it. 😊

Yes i am glad we still have him, i guess because he has never been ill its a massive shock., heart attack, cancer, blood clot, diabetes but he had this before.

My mum is really struggling walking needs a new knee but won't go because she won't leave dad for 6/8 weeks and selfish as it seems he wouldn't go respite or anything as he misses her so much 😍

DH's dad died like that at 61 at the wheel of his works van :( we were on holiday on a cruise 😫 never knew till we got back, that's what it said on the app, first time i have used honey and i thought that was good for 4 pieces 😏

Poor love has had an awful lot to cope with in a relatively short space of time. It does seem a shame that your mum is putting off her own treatment though. Is she on a list for her knee? There seem to be long lists and I wonder if she really had a date eventually your dad would refuse to cooperate? 🤔 She wouldn't be physically away that long just not very active when she gets home. 🤔

Honey is definitely 2.5 syns per tsp. but I think it's worth it occasionally. 😋

    Morning everyone,

Sun is shining here so I'm wearing shorts and tshirt in anticipation of a gain at group! I reckon at least 2.5lbs but we shall see!

DMum is 80 tomorrow and I need to go shopping after group as I'm making cheese straws and mini pavlovas. Also need to find some mini quiches in !celand or similar. Another day where I will be off plan but hopefully moving around A LOT to avoid eating too many goodies. So much to celebrate this week and I refuse to feel guilty as life can be hard at times, so you need to embrace the good stuff when it happens.

DH is off to DS1s to install some windows/doors in the garden room so I'll have the house to myself for a bit when I get home. Need to dye my hair, bake and do housework too, so a very busy day ahead.

I forgot to make overnight oats to eat at group, so will take a banana with me. Food today:

    B - banana
Brunch - poached eggs on toast, tomatoes, mushrooms
D - steak and chips, peas, mini corn

Will also have some pineapple, strawbs and grapes throughout the day to munch on.

    Have a good day all,
    Coxy
