Today I am grateful for smooth travels (we're on the Isle of Wight, yay!), for dc coping with travelling, for my cousin picking us up and looking after us until we could get in our place to stay, for a quick video call with step dd1 who is over from Canada, for WiFi (can't imagine life without it now!)

NSD still 5/16, had a little bet on the national but only won £3 back for my horse coming second!
Went for a wander around a diy store, we need so much I felt like it was too overwhelming! Think we’ve found a colour to paint our bedroom, going for a calm, coastal theme. We have a budget for everything we want to do to the house this year but just can’t find things we like!
Grateful for:

Good to hear you had a good start to the day @mothernerd. Hope the horse wee has helped @Esmeralda2662.
Posted another eboy coin sale on our walk this morning. Replaced 3 coat zips, whilst hubby hammered & sawed in the background. Listed more coins to sell, & one did within an hour! Washed up, then knitted & watched funny TV. Another NSD, maybe #3?
Grateful for the boys catching the boat north from Aberdeen ok, they'll arrive on our island in the next half hour ☺️, funny programmes, & the thought of meeting friends to celebrate the anniversary of a colleague's lock down wedding tomorrowUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

Horse wee medicine is slowly working, thanks, @Thrifty_Taylor! Can't believe I've had this cough/cold for nearly 2 weeks. Really fed up with it now.
@mothernerd - so glad you felt happy this morning. Keep making your plans to visit the owl sanctuary and your other favourite place, even if it takes a bit longer to get there.
Loaded my Fiat 500, Snowy, up to the brim with broken up fence panels that blew down at mum's in the storm. She came with me to the tip and we got rid of it all. Looked in their charity shop and bought 6 teaplates, 2 Frozen figures and some glass nuggets to put in flower pots. Mum also got a painted plant pot but unfortunately someone dropping off donations dropped something on it and smashed it!
Threaded some more bead necklaces for the Shoebox Appeal. Hope to have them ready to drop off on Monday night.
Meant to go shopping but didn't need much so used village Coop rather than go out in the car again. Petrol available locally, thank goodness, but diesel is sold out everywhere so others must be struggling.
Duck and drake back in our garden again. Think they are looking for a nesting place but I'm worried next doors cats will pick any babies off.
Gratitudes: Seeing the ducks, getting the fence panels to the tip so the garden looks tidier for mum, my BIL finally getting a date for his hernia op. X

Away next 2 days in Manchester seeing Jack Savoretti and a look around the shops. So will be spendy days but looking forward to going somewhere different.
Grateful for

Evening Turtles. Was absent yesterday at MIL party, not as boring as it sounds as she plays in a band and there was free food and a free bar which ds2 (19) and his cousin (17) took full advantage of and were a little the worse for wear. I dread to think what the bar bill was as all the old people there were drinking like fish. NSD for me though!
Spent a lot of today in the garden weeding and strimming and moving the garden furniture as naughty kitten discovered he could jump onto the fence from the back of the sofa. Got a load of washing dry on the line as well.
Today I am grateful for a visit to Dad, the weather being good enough to dry washing and an entertaining weekend!
Have a good holiday apple10 -
Firsview - Kittens are so cute but have mischief written all over them!
My last cat, Mr.Neeson, was already an old boy when I got him but was such a character.
Happy holiday Apple and family! I've only been to IOW once, we bought a roaming bus pass for a day and tried to go everywhere! Loved it. Hopefully weather will be nice for you.
Took Mum to a car boot. Not huge as frosty start put sellers off. Found another one to go to so didn't get home till noon! Lovely jumper for my little nephew, Mum got him a coat and we bought various bits for the shoebox appeal and some bits for us. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves walking round in the sun.
Came home and made a start on tidying the garage out. Lots of retro aluminium pudding moulds and baking tins I will never use are now washed and bagged up for charity along with some books. Need to drop them off asap so they are gone.
OH found fatbit scales had packed up.
Guess who last stood on them? Me. Obviously big bird broke them! Couldn't get away with it as pesky app showed me as last one on them.
Finished threading the last charity necklaces so can drop them off after work this week.
Ordered repeat prescription as tablets run out on Good Friday and the pharmacy will have enough to do.
Wishing you all a nice week. X
