A busy day yesterday, decided not to join DH for a walk, & instead replaced 3 coat zips in the morning. After dinner I got ready to go into town to celebrate a colleague's lock down wedding. Haven't worn make up in years!! Managed not to make myself look like a clown lol. Nipped to my mum's first to see my 2 DS's who'd returned from their week away. They were both pleased to see me. It had been a terrible boat journey home, DS3 very ill during the 6 hour trip!
Was glad I'd made the effort to go to the celebrations, as only myself & two other support staff from our school had gone. The brides were happy to see us. Went to a hotel for a meal, then returned to the party, not realising there was a buffet later on! Oh well. The head teacher from another school (she's actually head of 2 schools) said if I'd ever want to change schools, she'll give me a job any time. We had previously worked together when she was a teacher. Gave me a boost! Walked back to my friend's to stay in her spare room. A good time had 😃
Grateful for seeing my boys, a good time out, future job offersUse it up, wear it out

morning
Just catching up on turtle news.
Finished work at 5 on Friday, had tea and got a lift to my book group. Had a good discussion and delicious HM cakeCame home and went to top up with petrol. Couldn't sleep as brain was too active - managed 4 hours!
Got up at 7am on Saturday, did last tidy of the house then DD1 and I headed off 200+ miles to see family. DD2 got the train, her first train was late so she missed her connection. We picked her up at 2 and got to my sister's house. Saw one other sis and parents and had a lovely afternoon, bought some food for tea and then went to T/lodge. We were all in bed asleep by 10pm.
Yesterday the fire alarm went off so we were all stood outside shivering at 8am, I couldn't find my shoes so stood on my coat!
All ok but a rude awakening to the dayTook DDs to their dad's parents and stayed for a cuppa tea. Then went over to see my sis again. We had a lovely walk in the sunshine. Picked up DDs and got home at 8pm. Very glad to be in my own bed last night. DD2's boyfr, brother and dad had stayed on Saturday so they could watch their footie team play locally - they had left me a box of chocs
Happy holidays apple
Gratitudes - on leave this weekseeing most of my family; time away with DDs; gift of a box of chocs

Hope all turtles have had a decent day.
NSD 5.
A boring old day for me. Work and not much else.
MIL picked up DS this morning to look after him again for some of this week. Thank goodness for grandparents.
NEWS FLASH! I turned the heating down another degree! Sorry, that's as exciting as it's been for me today.
Grateful for family, for a very quick catch up with Mum, and for leftovers for lunch and leftover banana bread for a snack.

Evening Turtles. Beautiful day here today, went for a walk along the seafront when OH finished work. Minor spends in Mr L’s for laundry pods and vegan ice cream for DS2 who is lactose intolerant and says vegan ice cream tastes better anyway.
Today I am grateful for a lovely warm and sunny day, a surprisingly good casserole made with very sulky veg and a good walk7 -
Happy Monday Turtles
NSD 7/16 pleased with this.
Average screen time was down on last week.

NSD 7 for me today.Dried a load of washing outside on the line, made a casserole with a few sausages and loads of veg, and painted an old bookshelf thing for the new space I will be taking over at the shop where I rent a unit. The bookshelf had been put in the garage loft ages ago and only rediscovered recently, and I already had the paint, so nothing spent there. Also sowed some seeds - spring onions (in a trough outside), courgettes, cucumbers, climbing French and runner beans, all in the little greenhouse.Grateful today for the weather being warmer, OH finding the old bookcase for my sales unit and seeds to sow9

Wow, you've all been busy! Woke up at a decent time, despite going to bed at midnight & not nodding off immediately. The friend I'd stayed with & I took her dog for a long walk after breakfast, then after dinner, we walked to collect my car, so altogether we've walked 8.2 miles today!! Was certainly pleased to take my boots off! Have a few tender/sore spots! Visited a different friend late afternoon, haven't got together since the Christmas holidays, so was good to have a catch up. Feeling very tired on my way home, so will be heading to bed shortly.
Grateful for the relief when I'd taken my boots off, catch up with friends, lots of laughsUse it up, wear it out
