Evening all
nsd 5/16. Can’t spend what I don’t have!
Silly day in work! Less said about that the better.
Calorie intake too high but steps done.
Soooo looking forward to the weekend, no concrete plans except ds footy match so can do what we actually want to do.
grateful for:
chocolate left on my desk by colleagues.
Watching the masters (very relaxing)

What a lovely note Esmeralda! My DS1 always mumbles a reply when I say I love him, but as he & DS3 are away, when I phoned him earlier in the week, I could actually make out the words 'love you too'. Made my heart sing.
A better day today thankfully. Packaged up the 2 coins I'd sold on eboy. When chatting with a friend in the post office, she told me about Jubilee 50p coins, & asked if I wanted any. Apparently all post offices are given some, but not allowed to give them as change, but you are able to swap a 50p for one. So I got one for me & one for my mum 😃 had walked with DH there & back, had sun, rain & hail en route!
Set to on removing one side of the partition wall, then after dinner, DH cut wood for the new floor to ceiling wall & I unpicked 4 coat zips. Washed up after tea, did more of my knitting & watched the last episode of A Simple Life, then went in the bath with my book (had finished 1st book in the set at dinnertime).
Grateful for a better day, DIY progressing, appreciating the small thingsUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

Evening turtles
Walked to the dentist today for a check up. Had a chat about braces on crooked lower teeth - thinking about booking a consultation...
Called at the c00p for milk - found 3 x YS loaves of bread and bought some biscuits for DD1's bestie who is poorly. Dropped off biscuits and some LFTs for bestie on way home. Did my 10 k steps.
Logged onto virtual meeting for self emp job - everyone was chatting so i switched off my camera and mic and cleaned my fridge while i waited for the meeting to start! WfH at FT job in the PM.
This evening i went to sainz, bought cat food, new mascara, birthday cards and some fresh stuff - had vouchers for bonus points and £1.50 off. Did pilates class on Fb, felt much better for it.
Did lots of cleaning upstairs and dumped some stuff in my room - DD2's boyfriend and family staying at the weekend.
Gratitudes - good dental check up and NHS dentist so only cost £23; finding my fave bread on the reduced shelf so stocked up the freezer; chatting to poorly team member and told her i thought our boss is really nice and she said 'so are you'

Thanks Shrewbie, Beanielou and Firsview. Kids are so funny, even when they are nolonger teenagers.
Collected OH from garage after he dropped his motorbike off for servicing. He took me for a lovely fried breakfast in return. Delicious. I haven't had one for ages.
Went to local riverside town to feed the robins, blue tits and squirrels and walk along the river. Nice in the sun but really chilly at times. Lovely to get some fresh air.
Managed to find the special bronchial throat sweets that a colleague recommended. They're really good but the vapours make your eyes stream if you're wearing a mask!
Called at SM local and got a YS lasagne and 2 YS Jamaican lamb patties. They had a lot of veggy items but i wasn't sure we'd use them in time. Shame, I hope someone else bought them.
Have booked a repeat blood test for next week before work. Still need to book the dentists, optician and my first proper haircut since lockdown started. I'll be a new woman!
Gratitudes: the birds and squirrels enjoying some food, a rather blowy walk and a lovely fried breakfast. X

Checking in early today as OH and I are heading out soon for a meal and a trip to the cinema. Very looking forward to seeing the new wizarding film!I’ve spent the last few hours tidying and cleaning upstairs. Giving myself a pat on the back for that. And an extra pat on the back for my most genius idea - to fill up an empty diffuser with scented oils that have lay in the back of a cupboard for far too long! I felt like a right bright spark! I was like a wizard mixing a magical concoction! Our bedroom is smelling like we’re somewhere exotic now - lemongrass and ginger - maybe Thailand.Grateful today for being a clean queen, for magic potions (mixing some oil), and for an evening out with OH.

Is it only 8th day of the month?? Such a long way to pay day!!!
Ticked 2 challenges off my de clutter challenge as didn’t complete one yesterday, they were clearing out handbag & purse and sorting out your make up bag. I’ve binned a load of nail varnishes and cleaned all of my make up brushes. Handbag is now nice & tidy!
Still NSD 5/16 as had to buy a new clip for ds bike helmet.
I’ve eaten rubbish all day today so feel a bit lethargic tonight. DH taken ds to footy and my friend is coming around later so a nice relaxing evening planned.
Grateful for
- ds having school dinners so didn’t have to make a packed lunch this morning
- DH taking ds to footy
- wfh so didn’t have the added stress of trying to park.
