Happy belated birthday to your ds from me too ldee. I love that a simple balloon can bring them so much happiness! Esmeralda, what a lovely thing to receive from your ds.
yesterday was NsD #1. It seems spring has arrived in Madrid so hoping my teenager skin will clear up. I am eating fairly well, exercising, drinking water etc but since I’ve lived here I’ve been riddled with spots and cold sores in winter. Perhaps it is the dry climate as I never used to have bad skin, and I don’t think it’s helped by wearing the mask all day. Either way bf is nagging me to go to the doctor and sort it out, but perhaps I need to try harder to sort it out myself first.
in the couple of days off next week I’ve decided I’m going to do a kind of 333 project, need to go through my wardrobe work out the combinations and then decide on a few items to buy. Cheesed off with buying things online that never fit and not being mindful of quality etc.
Just had my last Spanish lesson and brought my teacher a coffee, so no nsd today. Easter should be quiet and I’m aiming to do spend quality time with myself... which will be cheap I’m sure.Grateful for a good chat with teacher, for reclaiming my slow mornings now that classes are over, for granola and yog for brekkie.Student loan £5655

Yesterday I stayed upstairs for most of the day. I reached down some boxes that were on top of the cube shelves in my room and repacked them. Two were festive decorations but I made room in them for 2 sets of fairy lights (they were on top of the boxes, with bits dangling down and making everything look messy) and some pine cones and straw stars that I was too ill to do anything with so will save them for this year.
I added my unhealthy snacks to the other box - need to cut these out too but putting them 7 feet high and having to struggle to get to them gives me more time to think about whether I really want them or can I distract myself in some way. My CPAP bag with all the extra bits is up there too with a couple of photo frames in front. I had a cheat's tea but it's something that means I can pack in lots of extra veg over the next few days. Bagged up rubbish downstairs whilst I was there.
After tea I carried on with my room - clothes had been hung, rubbish and paper bags filled, used a box for any paperwork I came across, used a cutlery drainer for pens, phone, pinsentry machines etc (it was bought for this purpose), added more things to my overdoor shelves. Just finding little spaces and condensing things down to fit the available space (binge re-watched several 'A slob comes clean' videos).
Did all the bed (not clear but what's left is like with like plus a tray with bits - needles/ diy etc bits that I don't want to lose but don't want to share space with) and then settled on it to rest - still not found my phone charger. I've been looking for 3 days in a not rummaging through random bags and making everything worse way. Arranged the remaining containers in a sensible (not on my half of the bed) fashion and found an old laptop at the bottom. Thin wire poking out - charger. wrong charger! Saw more wires - old laptop, maybe something to go with the fairy lights and finally phone charger. So phone was charged.
Day 7, 3 spend days, 3 no spend days so far. Today is undecided - if I go on a hunt for plug hole strainers (one to stop long hairs going down the bath and strangling it, one for the kitchen to catch flying bits of pasta and veg) it will be a spend day but I'm quite content here for now. Making the bed and sorting money (see if I have any) are my priorities. Ticked off this week's interview. Have eaten a plant based meal and a large salad (pasta bowl size).
Grateful for patches of sunshine between the rain, plant based food and lively salad, excellent books, good drama, middling comedy, time to just think, DS1 finding me a suitable restaurant for next week (salads yum).My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage10 -

Evening Turtles. @Esmeralda2662 what a lovely ds, see they do appreciate us!
Spendy day today as Mr T will be delivering my shopping later and had to get fuel earlier. Still no diesel around here but a couple of garages have petrol. Walked to meet OH from the station and have stayed within calories, so all good there.
Today I am grateful for my new kettlebell, much easier to use than the heavy one, a really interesting history lesson from my 99 yo customer and finding pockets in my bodywarmer that I had no idea were there!9 -
Grateful for:
Saving money in a health and beauty shop after work with the things I needed to get with money off items.
Dealing with a life admin, just need to wait for the response back from company.
Work being slightly easier to deal with.

We're off to the Isle of Wight for a few days, Shrewbie, but not because of semana Santa at all! Dh's dd1 is coming over from Canada with her ds + her dh, so we're popping down there to see them for a couple of days. I may be wrong, but I can't imagine IOW-ers doing holy week...! It all revolves around bank holidays here -Good Friday and Easter Monday. And chocolate 😂.Today I am grateful for dc sleeping well and being much better, for getting a couple of plants and also some pressies for people from Lidl, for my pesky pupils sending me their work, for bumping into a gym buddy after weeks of not seeing her, for some neighbours organising a street party for the platinum jubilee in June.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!10

Productive day at work, went for a lunchtime walk, also went for an evening walk with gf, and made a quick and tasty stir fry for dinner which used up some ageing vegetables.OH and I are heading to the cinema tomorrow to see a new release - really looking forward to it. And I’ll be making and taking my own popcorn as usual, but I might treat myself to some chocolates.Grateful for two woodland walks today, for good chat with gf, for blankets and snoods, and for rewards points.NSD 3.NST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸11
