DS has asked for one thing for his 5th birthday tomorrow - a number 5 balloon in blue, so no NSD today as I bought a balloon and candles.First day of the Easter holidays today and it went fine. OH and I were both working thankfully at home so we were able to take turns at entertaining DS. On my first shift, we made banana bread, second shift we ate the banana bread, third shift we ate more banana bread, and when I finished work we played Where’s Wally. He also spent a lot of time on his tablet device which makes me feel incredibly guilty as a Mum.Grateful today for a slower morning due to DS off nursery, for DS sleeping past 7am, for getting some work done, and for finding Wally.NST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸11

NSD 2 today.
Grateful for:
Speaking to sister-in-law on telephone as it is her birthday.
Sorting out something in work.
Receiving a loyalty card, unfortunately they deleted my account when I asked them to delete my Mum's card only. Had a letter addressed to her. Had sorted out new account with new card.
Received details for charity 5k event that I am doing in July in London.Frugal Living Challenge 2025 Mortgage free as of 1st August 201311 -
Evening Turtles. Just a small spend of £1 for car parking to go to the bank and pay some cash in. I would normally have walked but it was chucking it down, so £1 seemed a small price to pay.
Took angry cat to the vet for her vaccinations, unfortunately she escaped the carrier halfway down the stairs so we all had to chase her round the house tripping over naughty kitten who thought we were playing with him.
Today I am grateful for having had the foresight to put petrol in on Saturday as the pumps around here are empty, OH mending the chest of drawers so the drawer fronts don’t keep falling off and washing the car for me (ok, not to my standards but at least I didn’t have to do it!)11 -
early start today for intercambio with work colleague. And don’t think I slept much due to bf snoring. I was exhausted. Honestly I don’t know how people with small kids deal with the lack of sleep... Quite a busy day. None of the new clothes I ordered online fitted even though I ordered my usual size for that shop, wont order anything else for now and will visit shops at the weekend. Want to be more mindful and buy better quality in future. Grateful for enjoying my gym class (and for maybe getting stronger)Student loan £5655

I am quietly very excited as I just got 3 emails back from local bee keepers who will let me photograph their bees and mainly hexagons! It's for one of my slightly bunkers creative projects, but I am very excited. I have been watching videos about bee hives all day! What complex societies!

Had a lovely day today. Pottered about after breakfast (did exercises & 100 skips before breakfast), then met a friend for a walk. Went through a nearby woodland & saw a friendly Robin, who wasn't scared of us. After dinner I swept our long driveway, tidied up a border & moved some wood that had been covered over with grass. Read my book, had 20 winks, then did some knitting whilst ys lasagne & ys garlic foccacia out the freezer was cooking. Phoned DS1&3, still having fun in their trip, don't fancy a bacon milkshake myself, but each to their own! Did more knitting & watched TV. A spendy day, as bought diesel, no petrol available for those who need it.
Grateful for a lovely catch up with friend, seeing a Robin & Pied Wagtail, spending time in the gardenUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃
