When attempting to open the Chase UK app, I get a message requiring a minimum Android version of 8.0.

My Samsung phone is Android 8.0. A free telephone call confirmed that this should be ok, and suggested turning the phone on and off, but still no access.

This is a mobile phone app only and not available on a computer desktop.

I bought a new android 11 phone last week for the Atom bank savings account and a NatWest current  account – no problem.

I have given up with Chase, it will be dark soon so I wont be able to take a selfie anyway. If I do get it resolved tomorrow knowing my luck the product will be taken off the market due to the amount of people getting  their money in quick. Hopefully there will be other products coming on the market very soon. I have a large sum of money in NS&I that needs to be taken out, rate currently 0.5% can’t see that going up any time soon.

It's a variable rate account, so there are no guarantees for any of us.

App saying device not compatible even though I have android 11. Well done to those who have signed up this morning. It has been highlighted in the Daily Wail, so this morning the Chase bank sever is going in meltdown I suspect.

I wonder why that is ? I just installed the Chase app on my phone which is running Android 10. Had a few issues with the application process but I suspect that is more to do with the current volume of new customers signing up, rather than due to any app/phone compatibility problems.

It is now 15:20 pm, been at it since 10:00 am this morning--- I have given up!

Yup, I'm having tonnes of issues too. After a load of upload difficulties, I am still awaiting approval which I'm guessing is a manual process. 4 hours so far.  I suspect they got inundated today. Happy to be patient for what looks like a market smashing rate.

I cant even clear the first hurdle, that’s installing the app on my android 11 phone which I bought last week, phone is set to all default settings.

I'm keen to open up an account with them but will hold fire until I'm sure it will run on my android 12 phone.

Those people who are technically clever enough you can and try to force the application on via a root file registry adjustment, but don’t ask me how to do it ! I'm still in the Sptfire age and not the jet age!

Are people transferring directly into the savings account or via the current account? Could be a factor if payments are being held on the Chase side.
I've set mine to go to the main current account and I'll move it from there.  That way it saves faffing around on the other current accounts for individual savings pots.

EDIT:  I'm only using it for the savings interest rate.

Opened account this morning.  Transferred £1 at 11.25 to test that the transfer was set up properly.  That went through in minutes.  Set up transfer of £20k.  Still not arrived.  Chase tell me alternately that transfers are delayed and taking time to go through, and that there may be a problem and I need to get the Faster Payments ID from the sending bank (which I have, but Chase haven't asked for it again since I got it from First Direct).  I think they are a bit overwhelmed but a bit of consistent messaging would be reassuring...
Your payment is almost certainly being held by the sending bank. Nothing Chase can do about it.

FWIW, I have transferred more than £20K into Chase today, in 3 separate payments. Once released by the sending bank, which took an hour's phone call to them, the payments were in my Chase account within 30 seconds
Thanks, but that's not the case.  I have checked with the sending bank and they have confirmed that it is not being held for any sort of fraud review, and that as far as they are concerned it left their system at the time I requested it.  I've spoken to three different reps on three different calls with the sending bank and been given the same story.  In the time since I posted, however, Chase have confirmed to me "we have only just been advised that there is a known delay in processing certain payments" and this may be what is affecting my deposit.
My deposit has now appeared in Chase with no additional intervention on my part.

How do you add more than 1 if you're allowed 10?

I've added my 1st, then when I goto add account, the savings account option doesn't appear, it just tries to open another card account

Edit - once I put some money in, it then gave me the option

Mine went directly into the savings account; 3 payments > £10k each. I have also held the Chase current account for several months already and regularly transacted on it.
