App saying device not compatible even though I have android 11. Well done to those who have signed up this morning. It has been highlighted in the Daily Wail, so this morning the Chase bank sever is going in meltdown I suspect.

I wonder why that is ? I just installed the Chase app on my phone which is running Android 10. Had a few issues with the application process but I suspect that is more to do with the current volume of new customers signing up, rather than due to any app/phone compatibility problems.

It is now 15:20 pm, been at it since 10:00 am this morning--- I have given up!

Yup, I'm having tonnes of issues too. After a load of upload difficulties, I am still awaiting approval which I'm guessing is a manual process. 4 hours so far.  I suspect they got inundated today. Happy to be patient for what looks like a market smashing rate.

I know it's not hugely helpful to say this but I have a OnePlus Nord phone with Android 11 and the app installed OK so it might not be the OS. Can you at least see it in Google Play?

I currently can't find it at the moment my head gone all fuzzie, but on the Chase bank site they specify the google play version that needs to be used. The only version i see in google play is the American app version.. I have try the Chase Uk bank site, still no joy!

Opened account this morning.  Transferred £1 at 11.25 to test that the transfer was set up properly.  That went through in minutes.  Set up transfer of £20k.  Still not arrived.  Chase tell me alternately that transfers are delayed and taking time to go through, and that there may be a problem and I need to get the Faster Payments ID from the sending bank (which I have, but Chase haven't asked for it again since I got it from First Direct).  I think they are a bit overwhelmed but a bit of consistent messaging would be reassuring...

Your payment is almost certainly being held by the sending bank's security & fraud algorithms and needs manual releasing by their fraud squad. Your bank's frontline CS can't help with it. Nothing Chase can do about it. Note that Faster Payments need to arrive by the end of the next business day, so in theory your bank have until the end of tomorrow to release the money.

FWIW, I have transferred more than £20K into Chase today, in 3 separate payments. Once released by the sending bank, which took an hour's phone call to them, the payments were in my Chase account within 30 seconds

Thanks, but that's not the case.  I have checked with the sending bank and they have confirmed that it is not being held for any sort of fraud review, and that as far as they are concerned it left their system at the time I requested it.  I've spoken to three different reps on three different calls with the sending bank and been given the same story.  In the time since I posted, however, Chase have confirmed to me "we have only just been advised that there is a known delay in processing certain payments" and this may be what is affecting my deposit.

Yes, it opens a current account for you, too. You do not have to use this current account at all.

But you might want to, as it pays 1% cashback on many debit card spends, for an entire year. You do not have to stop using your existing current account if you do that.

I think I’ve been caught up in this too.

Initially transferred £1 which was instant, and followed up with £10,000 which hasn’t arrived yet. It’s been about 6 hours. Let’s see if it turns up tomorrow!

Probably down to the size of the payment. I stuck to £10k or less and had no issues transferring multiple payments from First Direct, but I'm an existing Chase customer and had made several transfers prior to today.

All good except can only use the app on one device...

Installed on my iPhone fine then downloaded app on iPad but it then logs you out of the iPhone app!

Is there a way to add to additional devices without the faff?
