Not only FSCS compensation limit to be considered, a £226k lump sum will take a minimum of 10 days to withdraw.Rollinghome said:
It is, (and you'll likely have someone along soon to tell you shouldn't hold more than the £85k FSCS limit anywhere).Ducktard said:I am thinking about investing a £226K lump sum and then adding £200/month to one of these. Is interest paid monthly?

I am having trouble with the Chase app.
I want to open the 1.5% Easy Access account.
I have managed to download it but I'm not sure if I have to now click on 'Sign Up' or 'Open an Account'?
If I click on 'Sign Up', it is asking for my Social Security Number. It only seems to allow me to enter numbers and not letters as I presumed by Social Security Number, it meant National Insurance Number which of course has a mixture of letters and numbers.
If I click on 'Open an Account', it gives me such options as 'Checking' and Savings & CDs'. Do I select one of these two options under 'Open an Account' or do I click on 'Sign Up'?
Please can anyone help and explain what I need to do to open the Easy Access account?
Thanks in advance.0 -
You need to use the Chase UK app, the other one is for US residents. If you can't find the Chase UK app then it may be that your phone is not supported.brymbo76 said:I am having trouble with the Chase app.

Just had another search for it and unfortunately it says 'This app is not available for your device'.
How disappointing.
I had my heart set on opening that account as it was the best rate Easy Access.
I may have to choose Aldermore or Zopa instead.0 -
Doesn't work on my mobile but is fine on my iPad. It may also work on other tablet devices.brymbo76 said:Just had another search for it and unfortunately it says 'This app is not available for your device'.

Unfortunately I don't have an ipad or tablet. Shame they don't offer an online website account using a Windows laptop.0

Worked fine on my mobile. Is there a limit on how many devices you can have the app on? Would like to have a couple setup just incase any issues when i eventually upgrade my devices etc.
Thanks

It can only be installed on one device at a time, although it is easy to set up on a new device which simultaneously removes access from the other one.kev2009 said:Worked fine on my mobile. Have a look at Cynergy who are currently paying interest at 1.20%brymbo76 said:Just had another search for it and unfortunately it says 'This app is not available for your device'.

Thanks for telling me about the Cynergy account. I already opened their Easy Access account just a few months ago when interest rates were just starting to pick up and theirs was albeit very low, they were the highest at the time at a pitiful 0.84% (issue 47) so will close that and transfer it along with some more cash I have saved with their new Issue 50 Easy Access account gaining 0.36% interest.0
