By convention, I went ahead and did a C&P transaction before attempting contactless with the physical card, so I don't know. This was before support for Google pay came along. Since the card is activated in app, it may not be required. Previous contactless cards I received did not require activation, so disabling contactless until after first use is a sensible security measure.

How quickly after applying for current a/c can you put money in the savings a/c?

You can deposit money as soon as you have opened your savings account, which is possible within seconds of your application having been accepted. How long it takes for your application to get accepted depends on many things. Some applications sail through in seconds, others take days, or forever.kuepper said:How quickly after applying for current a/c can you put money in the savings a/c?1 -
I opened the account and put in £100 to make sure it all went ok.kuepper said:How quickly after applying for current a/c can you put money in the savings a/c?
As soon as it credited I sent a 5 figure sum, I went back to chase and clicked add and opened the savings account.
Closed the app and reopened it, money was there and then transferred it to savings account.
So I would say 2 minutes to open and fund the account, 1 minute if your quick.0 -
You can transfer straight to the saver, rather than pass through the chase current account first.Bigwheels1111 said:

Can you have the app on more than 1 device, ie tablet and phone?0

It can only be active on one device at a time, as your account is linked to a physical device. It‘s easy to swap devices, though, provided you can receive a text on your registered phone numberroddydogs said:Can you have the app on more than 1 device, ie tablet and phone?1 -
To add an ethical dimension to the discussion: Chase are part of JPMorgan, who have not completely pulled out of Russia.
Yale business school rate them as a C, on a scale of A (good) to F (business as usual). Personally I'm only dealing with A and B rated companies.

Note: on Android, to swap back to a previously used device it is necessary to clear data from the app before registering it for the second time.Daliah said:
