    Took the plunge and it was pretty painless. App seems a bit basic but all works ok and no issues with transfers from my Barclays a/c.

    I'm a bit late to the party, so you need to download the app to apply for the current account then add the savings account?
    what ID can you use, I don't have a passport but do have a full driving licence. Anything else I need to know that could put me off the idea? thanks for any help.
    I choose the rooms that I live in with care,
    The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
    There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
    I listen all night for your step on the stair.

    Yes, you install the app and apply for the account, the savings account comes as part of the current account, you don't need to request it as an additional sub account.

    Full UK driving license is fine.

    All very straight forward and simple to do, so no reason not to apply.

    I opened 1x current, 1x save, 1x round-up accounts this week and have maxed the Saver account over 4 consecutive days from Virgin and all transfers went through promptly; no issues
    Partner opened 1x current, 2x save, 1x round-up; only issue was the photo and for some reason once he smiled it went through on 3rd attempt

    Positives:
    Interest paid 1st April
    Transfers in/out ease
    Love the 1% cash back
    Love the card controls
    Love the fact that there are no numerical info on the card ~ overall we're really happy with Chase

    Whatever you spend via Chase and goes in the 1% pot (so to speak) seems to clear the same/next day which is nice and can then be transferred back to the current account or into the savings account.

    I have opened 3 of their savings accounts :-

    1 for normal savings

    I am self employed and every month put by 25% of my earnings to cover tax,NI and accountants fees, so that money has gone into the 2nd savings account instead of the pitiful Halifax account it was going into.

    My normal bank is Barclays, apart from 2 direct debits I have going from it, all other money each month will go into a 3rd savings account and will be transferred into the Chase current account just before I am spending it.

    Am interested to know, are people keeping a kinda float of £50/£100/£200 in the current account or are you transfering say £50 in while you're in Tesco car park just before you go do your shopping lol.

    I'm keeping a typical months spend in the current account, and keeping an eye on the balance when confirming online transactions. The savings account will make things a bit easier, but I wouldn't want to maintain a balance so low that I have to check I can fund each transaction I make.

    Since last September, I have been using my free Curve card to optimise my cashback between my Chase card and my cashback credit cards. It's been working quite well for me, and it is now a tad easier as I can now shift some cash from the Chase savings account if I need it to cover any spending, and my spending money is getting half decent* interest until I need it.

    See this post for more on how you can use Curve:

    * I know, I know, calling 1.5% half decent is probably a bit insane.......but it's all relative
