The Chase systems will be getting some hammer this morning.
Expect a few errors, timeouts, and something went wrong messages
ETA:
For clarity, not everyone will experience a problem, but there is an increased chance that some users may, due to increased load following the new savings account release.1 -

The message was more to warn users that this is not normal time, so don't think it is typical.3 -

Some people also complain that you can't get an overdraft. I don't really understand this because overdrafts are one of the most expensive way of borrowing - but whatever floats your boat. Other moans include that they don't do cheques, and that you can't pay in cash. There is also no CASS switching service, which might put some people off, and Chase aren't part of the Confirmation of Payee scheme, which confuses some people. If you need any of this, other banks are clearly a better option.
The account is very easy to open and fast (10 minutes max) though you do need photo ID. The app has a good layout, is stable, fast and easy to use. There has not been any unplanned outage. Card arrives within a few working days of application and works with ApplePay/GPay and Curve, and is of course contactless. IIRC, you can add the card to ApplePay etc the minute your account is open as all the card information is available in the app. Some people like the Round-Up feature which pays 5% AER but in reality it will be very hard for the average consumer to make even a tenner a year from it. Cashback on much day-to-day spending is, however, rather nice. Their CS is superb.
I haven't read any Trustpilot reviews for Chase, or for any other bank, as I don't consider them a credible source of information about banks.
My bottom line recommendation would be: try it for yourself and form your own opinion.6 -

Can anyone share what is the exact name of the mobile app, or better yet, provide a link to it? I cannot find a link from the MSE article or the article in the OP.
EDIT:
Is this the correct link?:

Its fine, as expected but for anyone wondering who doesn't know that Chase is one of the biggest banks in US and UK is owned by their JP Morgan Europe corpo which is huge in itself. It should eat every challenger and big bank for lunch once they fine tune their app.2
