Morning all.
GWS Jazee, pigpen, YL's DS and HB's Beloved.
(((Hugs))) to the bereaved and stressed.
I had a very late night last night, finishing off my horrible safeguarding assignment to meet today's deadline, so I am running on low energy today - but that is another big thing crossed off my list. I shall retire before the training comes round again.
I have already fielded two phonecalls (before I was even dressed), started WMx1 of 3, and filed a few more bits of paper so I can now see clear spaces on my desk and the bed
Today's plan:
- 11.00 work meeting
- 3.00 take DH to nurse appointment
- Finish the washing
Today's aspirations:
- Clear some more paperwork
- Hang out the washing (sun breaking through but no breeze) to save on electricity
- Get some sleep tonight.
Catch up later xx
PS: Round, I thought of this when you said about the spider in your shiny wash basin (NB: arachnophobes should *not* click on the link!!!!)7 -

I will now be singing there's a spider in the bath for the rest of the day 😁
I've done the todailies and had a coffee with P&S. Struggling with a 'chocolate ' headache - will I ever learn?
Brunch. Then 5 minutes in the bathroom.

I've been puzzling, clearing out old emails and I cleaned my desk. One old work diary now in the recycling.Spend less now, work less later.9

Well now, I've started my experiment. Despite the headache. I'm now having a cold drink and some parrots. Pound. Pound.
What shall I call it? 5MM?
I set my timer for 5 minutes for each room and:
Bathroom: cleared and washed the windowsill and the bottom of the window frames, plus wiped a couple of marks off the tiles. Put stuff back (only shower gel, shampoo, comb and a mirror on there so not cluttered).
My Bedroom: top of CoD - retrieved necklaces and ear rings from among the dust bunnies and wiped them down. Wiped two necklace boxes. Damp dusted left half of COD. Ohhh myyyyy - that was a LOT of dust. (Hence the damp cloth).
Bedroom 2: took down DS's posters from walls and doors. Dusted them. Just one left up - which the aerial man must have boxed to the wall!!! A sharp knife is needed for that one.
Bedroom 3 aka RoD : unpacked a bag of books from a disintegrating carrier bag. (They may be good for the environment but they're a nightmare for hoarders!) Piled the books on the desk and binned the bag. Took curtain hooks and DS's beard trimming kit off the window sill (having looked behind the closed curtains to see what was there....I knew there was a printer in there somewhere 😳). Found a length of curtain rail ( in the room, not on the windowsill) Could come in useful as I plan to fit curtains at the front and back doors to insulate before winter arrives. Back door is half glazed.
I'm going to call the H/S/L one room and so I have 3 x 5 MM to do. 1. H/S/L
2.LR 3.Kitchen which has dining area at the end.
Going to give the parrots time to work first.

Good afternnon!
Thank you for the lists ladies. I have actually done some of it today!!
I have put on the DW, WULTD the rest of the pots, wiped down the worktops & cupboard fronts, and wiped out the microwave. DH has emptied the DW. he said 'Blimey' when he saw me cleaning the microwave! I pointed out that I do this (fairly) regularly, as it doesn't do itself!! he is quite good at WU, and putting the DW, but never wipes anything down unless it is a 'big' clean whereby he wants a medal!!
I have also dome WM x2. The 1st load has been in the TD as it was very foggy this morning. The 2nd load will probably go in as well, as DH is actually jet washing the patio!! I asked what his plans were today, and he rambled on about various tasks, including faffing about for his blimmin' podcast, so I said "I may start cleaning the patio". I quickly said said he could do that, so I 'let' him do itMission accomplished!!
The car is in for its 1st MOT. We went for a run at the country park near the garage - it was very foggy!! I was supposed to go tonight (Couch 2 5K), but I have double booked and it's craft club night
I am in the process of getting quotes for car insurance (both cars) - one of my least favourite jobs!
Hugs, sticks and spoons to those that need them. Jazee take it easy!
I need to pop into the garden now to investigate what has just been smashed........10 -
@Goodintentions
i cleaned my microwave last week and discovered rust developing 😱 can tell u don’t clean it often….looking for new one but they more expensive than I thought 😢6 -
I was watching a video on how to get the best out of your microwave recently which said that if we don't leave the door open after using it, it will eventually rust. My last one did, so this one has the door ajar quite a lot of the time.Superking bed made up, room vacuumed, window opened and door closed. Shower given a really thorough scrub, sink and loo done in there as well, and a sort of plastic greenhouse cover made for the shelves in the yard because there's a cold hit coming later this week and I want my tomato plants to survive.Better is good enough.7

Using HB and Round's 5 min plan, I s&sd bathrooms and then put something for sale on fb. Well I think I have. Then I did a couple of rows of knitting, and have since been watching telly. Easy tea tonight of omelettes.Spend less now, work less later.8

Hello,
Thank you for the lists and for keeping us in order. Hugs to everyone who needs one, gws wishes to all poorlies.
Long night on the WAC (what is it about 2am atm??) followed by an insanely busy day at work. Cooked an easy veg curry for dinner, sorted clean washing, activated the new credit card after the scum had tried to use the old one. That is me done, although I am intrigued by the concept if doing a 5 minute flypast after work, as I tend to give up all flying ideas once I get home. Maybe it’s something I could do now that the evenings are getting lighter - me and dark evenings are only good for curling up on the settee.
Hoping for a WAC free night tonight. Only rich tea for the flylady biscuit tin I’m afraid, as I gained yet another lb this week.8
