They used a soft trace to locate your new address. Doesn't show on your credit file but is a good and cheap way to trace a person.
Don't delay a defence if you have a live court claim of course. Yes, just use the estoppel argument wording anyway.Correct your name in the AOS and in your defence explain it in the second paragraph that your surname is now xxxxxxx.
But separately, email their DPO for the results (full screenshot) from any soft trace done. If they say a DRA or solicitor did the trace, ask them instead. I'd be looking for evidence that they not only had your new address but also could have matched the surname, because the trace probably showed both addresses and both names.PRIVATE 'PCN'? Thanks. I now have my logbook in the right address, so about to send a copy to get the data.

Yes of course. I’m drafting it at the moment and will post it here when it’s done. Is it worth discussing some of the personal issues I was going through? I guess they’re only relevant to why I missed the initial letters. I certainly don’t recall getting a letter before claim.1

It's so annoying because there's so much there
Then clearly the time allowed is insufficient. If this gets to court that will be an imoportant point in your argumentYou never know how far you can go until you go too far.1 -

Yes I think that! I always have. It used to be 2 hours, apparently, before they extended it. I think the reason they keep it at that time is that the football ground is nearby, as is the entertainment complex with its own ticketed multi storey; they're trying to stop people abusing it for the things that it isn't meant for. And catch out people like me, obviously! I don't go to football and I always use the multi storey for the entertainment bit because I don't want the worry or hassle of getting back to the car before my time runs out.0 -
they're trying to stop people abusing it for the things that it isn't meant for. And catch out people like meAnd that's the crux of the matter, a few car park abusers cause landowners to go for the nuclear option - and a nuclear bomb always takes out innocents.Just as we can thank the boy racers in their 1100cc Corsas with large bore exhausts for the plague of speed humps and 20mph limit roads! Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. Savills are the most helpful of managing agents we come across in the context of private parking. Do a parking forum search on 'Savills' and find the name of the individual people have contacted - with success - previously. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum.
