If you were following the defence template you might have seen the 12 numbered steps (defence is not your only job, also linked in NEWBIE sticky) where it explains that what you have received is perfectly normal.  Wait for your own blank copy of DQ from CCBC or download one and fill it in and send to the same e-mail address that you used for your defence.

I did go back to the newbie thread as I was sure I had read something about it, but couldn't find it that particular point. There is a lot on there, after all.

Just to reassure, that letter is standard. We have had one too. We ignored it

In the opening post of the template defence thread you will have seen...
Items 8, 9 and 10 on that list are also well worth reading again at this time.

Thanks! I found it in the end. Silly me.

I just came across a Facebook post of an article from my local newspaper about someone else getting caught in the same carpark - they refused to cancel a ticket incurred when a couple had to change their baby's nappy and it took them 20mins over the time. The comments section is filled with people complaining about how gridlocked the car park is, and how they got fined when they were simply trying to get out. This happens a lot with this car park so I'm hoping this will be useful. So I am screenshotting it all!

They've sent me another letter in my married name, again saying they intend to proceed. I guess this proves they don't even read them!

    Hi everyone

I have received judgement against me for 1 of the claims (the one that was made in my old married name) based on a failure to complete the claim form.

However, I did complete the claim form. I sent it back in May. I had an email form the court after that to say that I hadn't sent it, so I sent it again. Both times I had the automated reply from the court.

I tried to ring them but no one picks up. What do I do? Do I have to pay the £275 and fill in the form to have it set aside? Will I get that money back? Do I now have a CCJ against me?

Just keep ringing and stay on the line. Sometimes the CCBC take an hour to pick up. Court error - must be put right.

Thanks. I was on hold for 40 minutes, spoke to someone who confirmed my details - and then got cut off again.

Currently waiting on hold again. This is a nightmare…
