Thanks. I was on hold for 40 minutes, spoke to someone who confirmed my details - and then got cut off again.Coupon-mad said:Just keep ringing and stay on the line. Sometimes the CCBC take an hour to pick up. Court error - must be put right.Currently waiting on hold again. This is a nightmare…2 -
It's after their office hours, so maybe the phones cut off at exactly 16.00 just like their e-mail system!RoseNarene said:

I called back and was only on hold for 20 minutes the second time - they told me to forward them my original emails, plus their acknowledgement emails, plus the questionnaire again. I have done it, but since this is the exact same email address I sent them to in the first place, I don't have a lot of faith...Le_Kirk said:

Dear Sirs
Ref case number xxxx
Due to a failure in the County Court Business Centre i have received a CCJ by default which is entirely the fault of the administration staff.
Please place this email and attachments in front of a procedural judge in order that the judgement may be rescinded and the case carried forward in the usual manner.
I attach the evidence of the email received by yourselves including the N180 form.
Please confirm by return this has been forwarded as requested.
Regards
A Defendant

Welcome to the world of the courts
Or, more accurately, welcome to the world of a real terms cut of over 50% to the justice budget, cynically calculated and implemented because most of the voting public won’t interact with it or see the impact on a personal level.
The justice budget isn’t just criminal offences and prisons, it’s county courts, staffing and the maintenance of buildings and computer systems.
I know how I’ll be voting next time around, because is not a status quo that want one should accept.

Interesting times ahead if barristers do go on strike, trials and such like that already years late will be delayed even more4 -
I already emailed, but did so again using this, and included the second email address. They have been somewhat bombarded by me now! Hopefully with this many emails being sent, they will have to reply.Grizebeck said:Send them this email

Problem is that both automated email responses say they aim to get to me in 10 days, but not to chase up until 20 days have passed.1 -
The court got back to me pretty quickly, emailing me first thing this morning to say that the case has been referred to a District Judge for directions on how to proceed as the Directions Questionnaire was not processed within the correct time scale. It contained an apology for inconvenience, too. But will take 2-4 weeks for them to sort it.4
