NOW OPEN: the MSE Forum 'Ask An Expert' event. This time we'd like your questions on TRAVEL & HOLIDAY DEALS. Post by Wed and deals expert MSE Oli will answer as many as he can.
Many congratulations round - do you know that you are amazing? xx
Accounts came back yesterday and will hopefully be received kindly at meeting this evening. Car came back yesterday and has to have a new tyre asap; it also failed its MOT on windscreen wipers, which I was not at all happy about. They have been replaced and it has passed at the second attempt. Glad to have my own car back: the courtesy car was much longer in the nose, making it difficult for me to judge distances from other vehicles etc, but I returned it unscathed.
Today - DH has a face-to-face appointment with the dietician at the horse piddle (his first for 2 years) at the - for him - unearthly hour of 9.00. I have to take him because he needs a wheelchair to cover the distance from the car park to Outpatients (you have to be fit to go there!) - I have things to do in town centre, at 2 banks and W!1k0 - I must get car tyre fitted (or appointment for same) - I must watch the safeguarding film - I'd like to finish cleaning upstairs (could be wishful thinking!) - Rosie will get a walk - the church council meets at 7 pm and I shall need to find some meals.
Breakfast now.
((((Hugs)))) spoons and sticks all round - and thank you all for being there to keep me sane xxx
And Honey Bear. No you are NOT wrong. That's the misconception non-threaders have about this thread. They think we're all Stepford wives when, in all likelihood, we're more Steptoes!
You made me laugh 😃
I first raised my head above the flylady parapets and posted on 12th July 2010 - but I was on and off the wagon for years before becoming a regular poster. I think the American flylady is more Stepfordy as you have to put your shoes on to fly there. 🤔

ETA. Thank you iona xx I'm just me. 🙂. Albeit me with less stuff and more floor thanks to my flylady brethren's support. 😊
3 doors I was expecting have just been delivered, I had to stop the delivery man coming in and walking on my carpets, his boots were muddy, as he walked across the grass verge.
Cats out playing and sorted
Daily stuff done
Later on attempt 3 or is it 4 to get my prescription will take place, won't hold my breath, but who knows, I might walk there to get my steps up.
Drum roll please>-
I have signed up to do the 100 mile walk in aid of the Royal British Legion for April, there it is in writing now. If you would like to donate, please DM me, and I'll let you have my link. Thank you

The pile of sh!te on the sofa next to where OH sits and where Squeak sit on the other sofa. I have a mountain down the side of my chair which contains everything you could ever possibly need.. and my knitting. there is no excuse for it to be so bad.. but my kitchen is mopped and my bed is made.. important stuff.
Was woken at 5.15 by a veeerrryyy grumpy DS, he is such an early riser but needs more rest and I have tried EVERYTHING.. oh well, worse things to worry about!
Both kids at club until 5pm, so I can get lots done. So far, beds are made, windows wide open to air the place, kids away to school, bin put out then brought back in when emptied, chickens and ducks cleaned out, direct debit set up for Council Tax, WUDUPA.... no wonder I feel tired!
Now I am going to have some breakfast, then make a start on ebay listing. Piggers I am at £125 which I am thrilled about as it will cover the cost of DS clubs for this half term and then some.
Stepford people scare me, and I'm not entirely sure I trust anyone who has the time and the inclination to want everything to be perfect all the time. I would, however, rather enjoy living with a little less chaos and dust. And fewer piles of stuff that are projects on hold because something more interesting or urgent has come up since I started them. Dealing with just one of them is taking me weeks because I'm nibbling at very gently every day and stop as soon as I can't make a decision.
Must change the bed today but laundry is on hold because it's now raining, which it wasn't supposed to do today.
Morning lovelies, a mild but dull day here, sky is full of Sahara sand so everything outside is slowly turning orange.
Bed made, clothes picked up, room aired WM on HHI done and put away Banking and spending checked Hob cleaned DW sorted, kitchen tidied
My house is currently tidy, as long as you don't open a cupboard or drawer. (We are working on this SLOWLY, very slowly). It could certainly be much cleaner, but it has definitely been much worse in the past.
Going to look through a few more books today and see what I can clear out. And maybe look in the antique corner cabinet which I know we will be moving with us but what is in it? Bottom shelf is mainly candles, next shelf posh glasses and I can't reach the top one so will get the steps and see if there's anything to be moved on.
ASB.. That is great, extra curricular stuff is always a big cost in here too.. well done!! I did cheat and sell a pair of £100 boots but in all honesty I won't know until mid-April and taken off postage costs how much I have gathered. The money is a huge help but the space is a really big thing for me too. Keep up the fabulous flinging!!!! I hope DS is a bit happier.
School rang, Dot has tummyache .. we think it may be just wind but she has no temp or anything.. school are keeping an eye on here and keeping me informed.. I do NOT need more hospital trips!
I need to order flea stuff for the fluffers and pee mats for Crazy Hazey.
Right.. shoes and shopping.. Squeak has clothes to find for tomorrows dress rehearsal
