LadyH.. shush.. Squeak and I will be moving in.. we would LOVE a MC, preferably a black one or failing that we don't care.. if you ever have a spare needing a home .. Are they just loved or do you breed them too? Our hairy crew have a catio too.. my 2 old girls go for a pootle about the garden but the 6 babies are catio bound.. they do get taken in the garden on a lead but not allowed to roam there have been lots of cat crimes recently and I don't want anyone hurt, they are too stupid to let roam free.. they have never had anyone hurt them ever and I can't bear the thought that someone would. They are all so adorable and loving and daft. maybe a little broken!
Ours are purely pets - we've been owned by MCs for 25 years now. Our current four are 13 (red mackerel tabby boy), 12 (classic brown tabby boy), 9 (red mackerel tabby girl) and 8 months (brown mackerel tabby girl). We lost our lovely silver tabby boy (red girl's litter mate) to colon cancer just after Christmas and our new girl arrived with us on New Year's Eve. Ours love the catio - it is bordered by a Devon bank with fields beyond where our neighbour grazes his ewes and their lambs. The cats are fascinated by the sheep - and they even come to tell us when Phil has put them back in after they've been in the lambing sheds! The village road is supposed to be 30mph - not that some of the drivers round here seem to understand that, so the catio would be esential, even if all the breeders that we've known over the years have insisted in indoor/safe enclosures for the kittens that they've sold us. The attrition rate round here for cats that are allowed to roam free is heartbreaking 😭.
Thank you ladies xx There's still a long way to go- surreptitiously poking dust bunnies under the sofa out of sight 😉 but, occasionally it doesn't hurt to see how far you've come.
piggers - do not sell yourself short. The world will queue up to do that for you. You chumbawumdad and weebled and sometimes probably waded through never-ending 'treacle' days to reach today. And I can think of, at least, 12 human beings who are glad you did. Make that 13. I'm glad too. 14? OH might like to be included.....but the important thing is that you recognise it.
I don't think there is one flylady who hasn't braved a storm or storms recently. And yet here we all are. Helping each other through. Warriors? Soul sisters? Yes and no - because the bottom line is that we are a random group of women who 'found' flylady and, thus, found each other. And I unashamedly grateful for the joy you all bring to my life ❤🙏
Flying? I'm dressed, fed the birds, put out the recycling, done the last laundry shuffle (for now) and been to Pops for a coffee and a natter.
Oh and I put a pokemon newspaper freebie magazine in the recycling box. Dated 2000. It was in a trunk in the RoD which I decided to open to see what was in it. That's one thing less in it. Remember ottoman 😉
I second what Round says. I remember being really scared to join this thread because you all seemed to achieve so much and I knew I couldn't keep up. I then thought at least when I'm doing horrible jobs I'll know I'm not the only one, so I jumped in and so glad I did. Fence painting is complete apart from a couple of bits to touch up which DH will do on Thursday when he's painting the shed. Having a cuppa then I'll put on some slightly more respectable clothes so I can have a walk with DH and another one with the dogs. We won't be going far though as my feet are killing me. When I get back I will soothe y aching muscles in a lovely warm bath.

Me too. Both the above. And can I propose a flylady minibus trip to HB’s (we will promise to be well behaved…I think), as ginger and salted caramels are just about my favouritest ice creams in the whole wide world. If you could knock up some pistachio as well, then I will be swooning.
And the next time that I have a panic on about the mundane, please kick me into touch. Went to the new-to-me opticians (in out of town Mr S, so why did I panic about parking??) and guess what? It was my old-to-me optician sitting there, having moved practices! Ticked off eye test, new glasses (my choice, not absolutely necessary, but I have no spare atm, so old ones will be my spare), short trip round Mr S to pick up a few things which have been eluding me online. A couple of ys and teabags for work and hey presto, I managed to get £4.50 off my shop, and nothing random purchased. DD’s car filled with petrol at the empty pumps, and home to go the allotment. 3 hours spent there, caught up with a couple of the old timers and even managed some digging. Hard work, but that has ticked off my exercise for today. WM finally now running with bedding in. Need to wash my hair, then deal with the bounty retrieved from the allotment - kale, spring greens, leeks and cavolo nero.
Ironing done Lunch sorted DW run on clean cycle Washing out on airer Necessary kit found for my holiday at the end of next week Started a list for end of next week as it's going to need some careful planning and packing,
Now going to browse the internet for meal ideas for me to make to leave for OH whilst I'm on holiday and for us all to have with friends at the start and end of the holiday. And enjoy a cup of tea
Well, my walks were really short. DH and I just popped to the local shop and neither dog wanted to go further than the end of the street. Too many little people coming excitedly out of school I think!
The dining room is a lot tidier and I've made Layla a new dog collar because hers is now so scruffy I was a bit embarrassed at the groomer seeing it when she took it off and put it back on again yesterday. Pleasingly I've only had the makings for the new collar for about five days. Normally that kind of project hangs around for a few months (or years) before I get the sewing machine out. Anyway, she's now wearing it.
Round.. seriously.. nothing.. when CF left.. Tiddles was 5.. Twinkle is 5.. Moomin was 7, Pixie is 8, Meem was 9, Dot is 10, Boog was 10, Squeak is 11.. see.. just the same place.. same house, same mess, same housey jobs undone.. and I am still tired!! lol... honestly, I have no idea where the years have gone but I am still doing now exactly what I was doing 30 years ago and I still have no idea of the direction for the future.. I just float about aimlessly on the breeze of whim and fancy.. I need something but I don't even know what. I'm not even sure I have time to do more than I already do.. there is only so much me to go around.
I have spent today trying to arrange a look around 3 schools or at least a chat with a few sencos and have achieved none of those. I have listed 10 items on V!nted, loaded the DW, sweated a few ounces off on the school run and now I need to do dinner, pack ups, poke Squeak into her lesson and get myself in gear for the graveyard shift.. Dot is really sruggling at bedtime.. She is resistant and the last few nights has had to be bodily carried up, dumped in bed and pretty much sat on.. I do not have the energy for another 3 hours battle tonight.
No word from hospital about the outstanding 2 blood tests...
No word from drs about mine.
I do have 2 prescriptions to pick up.. and DS1 asked me to go buy grandbeasts shoes with him..
I've finished a puzzle book while half watching Cheltenham races. I had 3 x 1st, 1 x 2nd and 3 x DNF. So no £100000 for me. Puzzle book is going into the recycling box - fer-ling 😁
