Me too, especially when I've had a decent amount of unbroken sleep and wake up feeling a bit more refreshed! We now have sunshine burning the frost off the fields.
Lovely flowers, as ever, Narc0.
I didn't get my car back from its service and MOT yesterday because the ramp broke down yet again with my car stuck 6 feet up in the air The service manager says he has put in an order for 4 new ramps asap - they took over the premises from another dealership just before lockdown and have had constant trouble with the elderly equipment that they inherited. Not impressed that they haven't replaced the ramps sooner, because DH had a similar problem last year - except that on that occasion it wasn't his car that was stuck, but the one before him in the queue. Anyway, my plans for yesterday were discomnobulated, and I am playing catch-up again. DH will be using his car today, so I am very glad I had arranged for a courtesy car.
I did get round to dusting the piano and piano stool yesterday, but not much else!
To do: - finish personal financial admin - pay church money into PO - prep and run study group - collect church paperwork from the auditor, who has finished the job in record time and (he thinks) found the typo that caused me 2 days' worth of grief - I couldn't follow exactly what he was saying on the phone, but all should become clear when I look at the paperwork again, now I know where to look. I am very happy that he said my record keeping was accurate and easy to follow - send accounts out by email to PCC members - clear the rest of the church financial backlog... - ...and breathe... - ...and maybe get round to finalising the order for my new TD and FF (which will mean cleaning the utility before they are delivered).
(((Hugs))) spoons and sticks all round, as needed, but especially to YL and Dizzy xx
Today is an Anniversary for me. On 15th March 2008 I was a single parent, on benefits, I had £10 in the bank and....I wrote off my car. I didn't know it at the time but it was a turning point for me. I managed without a car for six months......then I bought my brother's father in law's car ( you still with me 😁) for £150 and started work with a Back to Work bonus the following week.
My mental health issues didn't disappear. There was no knight in shining armour waiting to rescue me. I did it. Me. I got myself from there to here. It's been a rocky road, but I've kept on keeping on.
And sometimes it is good to look back and see how far I've come......before girding my loins (whatever that means) and looking to today.
The sun is shining. My first brew has been supped. I think I'll leave my loins ungirded and savour this moment 😊
And you, my friends, have been an important part of my journey, thank you. ❤
Flying? I'm up, made my bed and got the birds' seed ready to go out. I'll have another brew, get dressed and do my Tuesdailies.
Massive congratulations Round. It takes a heck of a lot of personal strength to go from that to where you are now. *admiration*
Beautiful flowers Narco. I see grape hyacinths everywhere, and those coupled with a few tete a tete heads will be doing the trick here, I think, so thanks for the inspiration but it won't be a door wreath because I'm not clever enough.
The plan today is to tidy everywhere, make ginger ice cream and then salted caramel ice cream, sort out the fridge, and then crack on with the 10+ year frog currently spawning on my desk. Now that I've started it I can see a bit of progress but it will be a long job. Worthwhile when I've finished it though. Plus a long dog walk, a bed change and a couple of loads of laundry. That'll fill the day up.
Dizzy I was sad to read you’re so down, have a hug from me xx
Round - wow, just wow. You are a complete inspiration to me and your posts bring me joy. Lots of love to you xx
It’s quite sunny here which makes a welcome change. The laundry is on the line and I’ve flung the living room door open for some fresh air. Absolutely loads done which I won’t bore you with, but for now it’s bin day tomorrow so I’m off to do a bin bag dance.
Managed Level 1 yesterday - now embarking on Tuesday Level 1 (and if I get to Level 2, I'll be patting myself on the back!)
pigpen - cat litter gets everywhere here - we have four Maine Coons and though they have a catio and their trays are in a covered area outside, litter gets tracked in. We put coir matting by the cat flap, which helps a little, though I think they believe it is just there as a scratching facility. Then there's the fur - daily vacuuming is a must or it just looks like I've given up entirely! Wouldn't be without them, though.
Your really could not make it up....................blood results bad, nurse on phone tells me I need medication, I emphasis to her which chemist it has to go to, (OH's, they sent his cancer stuff to the old chemist from where we moved from, miles away) I told her again, and asked her to repeat it to me.....................went yesterday to collect from local chemist, who told me they had no record, I jokingly ask has it been sent to xx old home town, we'll check, come back tomorrow, so I have been back, no we don't have it, but we know where it is..................I so knew what was coming, it is at the old home town chemist..................you have to ask to get it released, what a performance, all made out it was my fault......................I go back tomorrow.............. just wasted 2 hours of my time.
Plus one of them suggest I drove to pick it up, 3.5 hours EACH way, plus the cost of petrol, I think not..........like banging your head against a brick wall, not a happy bunny.
Daily stuff is done.
NDN has cv19 or what ever it is currently called.
Add more soil to my patio pots, weeded .
Watched lifeboat tractor doing its stuff, very impressive, what a machine.
Ironing done
To do
Grout rest of patio.
Boring small stuff to do.
Work out how my blood pressure monitor works, I am sure it is easy to use, but never used one before.

LadyH.. shush.. Squeak and I will be moving in.. we would LOVE a MC, preferably a black one or failing that we don't care.. if you ever have a spare needing a home .. Are they just loved or do you breed them too? Our hairy crew have a catio too.. my 2 old girls go for a pootle about the garden but the 6 babies are catio bound.. they do get taken in the garden on a lead but not allowed to roam there have been lots of cat crimes recently and I don't want anyone hurt, they are too stupid to let roam free.. they have never had anyone hurt them ever and I can't bear the thought that someone would. They are all so adorable and loving and daft. maybe a little broken!
Kaz.. Boogs diabetes medication was just hijacked by Lloydsdirect pharmacy and we had a right faff to get that released.. ours is set to go to the Boots around the corner from our house and I don't even know where it was.. we have never had a script from a lloyds so either someone at the drs surgery was pulling a swift one as a contact or they signed in the system and stole it.. my words were not polite.. nor were my emails.. I hope you can get it sorted speedily
OH mopped the kitchen.. first time in about 1000 years..
DW needs emptying of oven trays and pans and refilling.. The trays always feel greasy still after being hand washed.
Squeak gone to shop with DS2 and they are posting my parcel.. FLING.. another £5 YAY!
Good progress being made here. I have done dailies, walked dogs, cut grass front and back, done some weeding and have made a start on fence painting with DH. Just feeding me and the dogs then I'll get back to it. Oh and I also got admin up to date this morning.
