Wow ladies! Very productive - thank you Jazee for validation! After school had a work thingme but have also tidied LR (yesterday's job) with some dusting thrown in, also had a go at the plants in the kitchen, deadheading, watering, wiping down all the pots and window sills. Much better! Still to do: [email protected]@npig a card for my Stepmum for M day. Must do this before I crash. Have been waiting to do a shop/meal plan because my Mum wants to come stay but she keeps putting off the visit because she's poorly 😕 Hopefully she might feel up to the trip by the weekend.
Let's hear it for accountants today. Everyone's always sniffy about them but mine has just told me he's retiring at the end of April and I'm going to miss him. I've never met him but he's been fantastically supportive and unendingly helpful for more than a decade over the phone and through emails, although all of his letters are very formal.
Fridge sorted. At last. That's another job I put off for weeks.
I joined this thread because there was something in particular that I wanted to comment on, but as that was 10 years ago I've absolutely no idea what it was. I'd been trying to achieve Level 1 for weeks and failed hopelessly most days, and have always thought everyone else's houses must be sparkling - unlike mine, which is always a bit untidy, a bit scruffy and a bit very dusty. I now suspect mine may not be the only one that isn't pristine all the time, but I could be wrong about that.
Sorry Fayolle, I've no idea how to make pistachio ice cream, but you're welcome along with any other Flyladies who want to stop by for some salted caramel or ginger ice cream. Belovéd also loves blackcurrent but he's going to have to wait until blackcurrent season for that. Or then again, I might just get a jar of Bonne Maman blackcurrent jam and use that.
Every single day, even if I just read but don’t post, you all make me feel better. With your kindness, your wisdom, your honesty, your determination and your can-do attitude, even when things are bleak, give me a boot up the bum and a reason to keep on keeping in every day.
I am finally sitting down after a bonkers busy day. Tomorrow is already full of jobs that I’ve planned out in my head, so early nights all round xx
I joined in Jan 2011, 12 days before dancegran broke her hip. So please I searched Flylady in the forum search bar. Your support has propped me up through every up and down since.
Ha, I think I originally landed up on this website because I had debts, I still have debts, but I found you lot and that has definitely changed my life for the better. And the debts are reducing.
Funny you should say about looking back Round. DS1 rang me earlier as he was driving on his own to Stroud to meet up with some friends to go to Cheltenham tomorrow (250 miles from home). This is the kid who doctors said would spend most of his life in and out of hospital, would never work, would never live independently. Sometimes its good to take a moment to take stock of things.
Madly busy day here too. I have read your updates but not absorbed much. Going to be flat out at the paid stuff all week this week. Bedtime soon.
Catching up with thread because I am home for the next two days and I have time.
Patio is pretty.
lovely door flowers.
congrats Round on the achievements.
hugs Dizzy.
i have just put s load in WM. Will be pegged out on new washing line, once I swap them over.
Flingage today is I am donating my bike to community cafe (actually near where I used to live but not that far from here). This should have gone a fortnight ago but can only go on a Weds or a Sat. Well it rained. Then I was sick. Then I was at work. Then I got up so late I didn't bother because I wasn't sure if they were open Sat pm...so today is the day.
At the community cafe there is a bike repair shop which teaches repairs etc so they will get it up to full working order then sell it.
Ive decided I might too old now...and cautious about the consequences of a fall or worse.
anyway back to reading...

Got my blood results.. they were emailed to me.. saved me a walk!

The whole house needs attention... not sure where to start. I think, maybe the DR table *HOTSPOT ALERT* might be a good place. Or the office/guest room.
And Honey Bear. No you are NOT wrong. That's the misconception non-threaders have about this thread. They think we're all Stepford wives when, in all likelihood, we're more Steptoes!

Blackcurrant ice cream was my mum's favourite 😋 HB.
I seem to have a natural waking up time of 6.25am. So I'm up, made my bed, and I'm savouring my first brew.
I'm going to do some planning today. I'm being frugal with my car use - so I want to plan all errands round my trip to the farm shop cafe for lunch tomorrow, then fill up with petrol on Sunday when I pick up my prescription. Surgery is opposite the petrol station.
On my way home from work I drive past a massive Mr L. I'm thinking about calling in there once a week - guessing it will be cheaper than Mr C00p- even though I do buy ys stuff and earn my divi. I might just pop in one evening to do a recce. If they throw your shopping at you at the till I'll not be keen.
Plan today is to bring in my steps: change the light bulb in my bedroom, put two owl biscuit barrels and two chickens (one egg holder and one ornament) on top of the kitchen wall cupboards, and put the steps back into the shed. Equals more kitchen worktop. Equals progress. 😁
Brew 2, breakfast, get dressed and Wednesdailies first though.
