So close, we can smell mortgage freedom!

The weekends sound like they can be done for not too much money, and there's some great variety there. Though I'm really not sure I'd try Windsor so near to the Coronation, coo! Are they going to be there? And the Women's Cup Final too! That's a good month :) :) :)

The weekend you are thinking of going to Windso is the weekend of the Royal Windsor Horse Show, it's fab if you are in to horses but will make the town busier than ever!

Oh, thanks @MatyMoo! While that sounds amazing, it's not what we were after. I think we'll postpone!

Morning all,
Thanks Karma - that was my thinking about Windsor… and Matymoo has confirmed that it's not a good idea (although I'd definitely love to go to the horse show one year).
Main client has sent me through some work this morning, which is great. I'm meeting another Olio friend who'd like me to cat sit later this month at 11 for a cuppa and then I've got the physio (hooray!) and a garage appointment for new tyres for Mr MV's car (which has conveniently meant that I get to use his car today - he's off out somewhere so has managed to book a hire car through work for the first time in ages). I will see Mum between appointments as they are both in her town and then while the car is being done I plan to walk to Aldi to get some flour, milk, onions(?) and possibly a couple of tins of baked beans/coconut milk (depending on how I'm feeling after physio). Maximum spend of £5.
Dinner last night (the first of the recipe boxes) was delicious - definitely a 'would cook again' and very doable with ingredients we usually have in. Looking forward to tonight's. We wouldn't usually get these, but Mr MV has barely cooked since he had Covid in March last year and he thinks it may be a way for him to get his cooking mojo back - I think its absence is a combination of Covid-blahness about food and probably burnout from work, but in any case, it offers an easy option and the intro offer was cheap. Far too much stupid and unnecessary packaging for my liking (Riverford can do it, why can't everyone else?!), so it won't be a regular thing.
MS things:
- Clicks, comps and HW done - no wins today
- Unfortunately no win on the PBs this month for me (could have really done with one with the poor savings rate last month)
- 1P surveys done
Gratitudes:
- Sunshine
- Seedlings are growing well
- Physio appointment - I so hope she can make me feel better!
Have a good day all!

Fingers crossed the physio can give you some relief! I'll join you with the ouchy appts today - I've got Chiro to help with an irritated lumbar nerve!

Good luck for both of you with physio appointments, and enjoy Mr MV's cooking, madvix, that sounds a good gateway back into an earlier enthusiasm.

Morning all,
Thanks KC. My appointment went well and I am feeling a lot better this morning than I have been for a while. I've also pinched Mr MV's desk chair and am realising how much more supportive it is than mine. Another appointment booked with the physio for next week - at least it'll be a bit cheaper as it won't involve the assessment. I am feeling it's definitely worth it at this point though.
Super busy this morning as main client has been flooded with work (and so, therefore, have I), and he's given me some deadlines (normally he's pretty relaxed about this as long as it gets done within a reasonable timeframe). I've been manically getting something done this morning and just having a cup of tea and a quick break before I go back to it - my brain needs the break!
Recipe box dinner last night was nice again - another one we might do another time. I got Mr MV's tyres done after the physio and they were a bargain as there was an offer on, so that was good.
Today is very definitely going to be about focused work. I will make sure I get outside for a walk, but it'll depend on work as to when that is.
MS things:
* Clicks and HW done, comps to do later
* 1P surveys - did a whole load yesterday while waiting for the tyres - at £4.88 now
* MM survey
* Spent £3.47 in Aldi - flour, milk and two tins of baked beans. Should be all we need for a while. (She says, with no idea what we're eating over the weekend and very little fresh veg in the house, but I'll work something out!)
Gratitudes:
* Lots of work
* Sunshine
* Feeling so much better!
