Very disappointed here too to see we've had our smiley supply cut off again!
That's great that the physio already seems to have made a difference - if the HRT doesn't make a difference to my ouchy back (when I finally get to start it!) then I think I'm going to have to bite the bullet and find a physio as well, so it's good to hear a positive result like yours!
You have also reminded me that I was going to look at the 1P app to make doing the surveys practical on the phone as then I might do more of them...🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

The app is great (if a bit buggy) - means I tend to do them when I’m in a queue or waiting for something (kettle to boil).Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

I've just installed it - thanks for the prompt! It certainly looks like it will make me more likely to do them - my thinking at the moment is that I might be able to get into the habit of doing them when I'm a passenger in the car.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

RT, I see you lurking there - how was the chiro? (I did look the other day but couldn't find your diary - do you have one?)
I'm doing well with work, but distracted by a small but lucrative platform job currently (and clearly distracted from that by MSE). My brain is a bit mushy at the moment - need a break, but am really trying to get as far ahead with this work as possible by the weekend. I've not been sleeping well recently, which really doesn't help (not helped by a herd of eleph...cats thundering around and wailing at 3am!).Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Aww Vix - thank-you so much for asking! - Let's just say it was very very ouchy in the short term but will be good in the long term, I've a few more sessions booked over the next couple of weeks and waiting for an x-ray as I've got some problems with a lumbar nerve that physio is not healing quick enough! I need/want full feeling to return to my left foot so will put up with the ouchiness
My goal is to be a yoga bunny again and be able to hold poses that involve balancing on toes!
As for a diary......I never did start one up after purchasing the house 17 months ago - just wasn't sure I'd have the discipline to update regularly & stay on topic! Cheery did say to me it didn't matter how frequently (or not) the updates happened but I just wasn't feeling it - LOL - have been thinking about it again recently... let's see if those thoughts materialize!

Morning all,
It's currently thundering and chucking it down here (good for the lawn seed we distributed at the weekend). I'm still up against deadlines today, but feeling that they are a lot more doable today. Have also had a call with Cambridge boss/friend (it was her and her husband who came for lunch on Sunday) about work. I should be back there next week or the week after as a freelancer, which is great.
In good news re Mr MV's job, after his conversation with his boss last week, his boss seems keen to follow-up, so fingers crossed something comes of that, both in terms of taking some of the load off and hopefully some sort of financial recognition for what he's doing.
It's Friday, so we'll be off to the pub for a drink this evening, but I have already got supper planned - nothing fancy, but we know what we're having so no temptation to get something while we're out. Dinner last night (recipe box) was quesadillas and patatas bravas, and it was delicious. We've still got some patatas bravas actually, so I may sub that in with dinner - I was going to do baked beans and eggs on toast, but I'm thinking maybe I'll reheat the patatas and just fry some eggs. We've got crumble for dessert, so it doesn't need to be hugely filling.
MS things:
* Clicks, comps and HW done
* 1P surveys - nearly at £6 now
* PA surveys - £9 when cleared
* £1.11 TCB claimed
* Finished that platform job last night, which brings my platform pay for this month to over £100, so that's a nice boost. Will keep an eye out for any more today that I can fit in around my main client's work
Gratitudes:
* The rain - it saves us watering the lawn!
* A decent night's sleep at last
* The recipe boxes - I didn't think I'd say this, but it's felt a bit like a holiday not having to think about dinners this week - the what shall have we got, what shall we make from it, the realisation partway through that I haven't got a key ingredient. And we've had some very tasty meals that we will easily be able to replicate.
Happy Friday all - enjoy the coronation and the bank holiday!

Morning Vix - good news on the Cambridge job and well done on the platform jobs - that's a nice healthy sum to add to the tally!
Totally agree with you on the recipe boxes helping with clearing mind space! - we've had a few goes at them when they were on bargainous special & now have our favourite recipes in rotation - OH does most of the actual cooking & one of the recipes in particular he know knows off by heart & now even improvises when we don't have the exact ingredients! I've also been on the websites of said recipe boxes for inspiration and printed off their step by step instructions - OH is a big fan of pictures in a recipe, keeps him on track.
...still thinking about the diary - LOL - when it's you & EH egging me on, there must be something to it! xx RT
