Oh goodness - drama indeed! I’m thankfully not a fainter which is a good thing as otherwise when I had my own (anaemia related) drama a few years ago I’ve had spent more time unconscious than upright allowing for how many blood tests I ended up having over a space of a few months! I don’t react well to blood being taken from my arm though - always insist on it coming out of my hand which invariably surprises people a bit!I’m glad it all went smoothly other than the passing out though - hopefully they’ll be able to get to the bottom of the rash.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Morning all,
Thanks EH. Yes, I've been quite put off the idea of having more blood taken now - it never used to be an issue!
We had a lovely day on Saturday celebrating MIL's 70th. Mr T's pulled it off on Friday afternoon when I went there to get the various bits I needed - everything was available in one place, which made life so much easier. It did mean I bought four brand new vases (recycled glass though), which I'd intended to get from a charity shop. But sometimes life gets in the way. She seemed to enjoy herself and we had a lovely, enormous meal at the Italian restaurant they love - and I can see why. There were 22 of us and service was excellent (we had pre-ordered from a set menu) - everything was delicious, huge portions and the owner even reminded us when 3 hours were up in case anyone needed to move their car. Very impressed. We didn't need any more food on Saturday!
Yesterday was pretty chilled - I'm taking it a bit easy at the moment after last week's excitement. Will be glad when the additional test results come back. We did some housework-y bits (mainly Mr MV) and I caught up on some work - finally got the ongoing piece back to my main client. Also cooked and enjoyed the R'ford recipe box that arrived - absolutely delicious although we do have quite a lot of the 'chutney' left - it involved 10 chillis and cloves of garlic, which you can imagine made quite a bit, but only a tiny bit was needed! Would definitely make again though and the rice dish involved stuff that we have in most of the time, so nice and easy to do.
Today I've got some work for a US client to do, a cat sitting key to return and I need to take the car (the main one) to get a puncture repaired (hopefully) - Mr MV has booked it for when he's in a meeting (he hadn't realised!). If I get all caught up and it stays dry, I'd like to get some more seeds sown, get out for some exercise (either on bike or on foot) and generally just move - I've got lower back pain and I think it's because I've been sitting badly for the past week feeling sorry for myself.
Bit of a half week this week as we're going for a spa day on Weds (fortunately the rash has mostly faded now!) and to the Fully Charged show on Friday. Then weekend is busy as we're at a BBQ on Saturday, hopefully having friends for Sunday lunch and off to football on Monday (not till late afternoon, fortunately!). Lots going on! Also Dad's birthday tomorrow, but he's helpfully provided a present suggestion from Sis and I, which Sis has ordered and I've transferred her the money, so nice and straightforward. I already have a card as I took advantage of an offer of a free card from an online company.
MS things:
* Clicks, HW done - Arsenal drew with S'hampton, so a free bet came in, so £5 withdrawn from one bookie
* Caught up with work
* PA now nicely over £50 - very pleased with this!
* Meals planned for the week (around days out, although planning on taking a picnic on Friday)
Gratitudes:
* Lovely time on Saturday with family and friends
* Arsenal Women drew yesterday - good as we're off to see the second leg of that on Monday and at one point it wasn't looking good!
* The rash is fading (honestly, I am so pleased about this before the spa day!)

Morning Vix - so glad to hear you've been taking it a 'bit' easier than usual - sometimes rest and a bit of self pity is the best thing for physical and mental health - xx - Saying that, you sure did pack in a lot while resting!4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! Thanks RT. Honestly, it was pretty chilled - especially yesterday! And cooking the recipe box was actually very therapeutic and I really enjoyed it.
Work is caught up and as it was raining I've been sitting entering some comps. It's dried up now, so hopefully I'll get into garden shortly. But lunch first I think. The problem with the competitions is they make me dream - and I know I'll be very lucky if I win a small prize, let alone any of the holidays!
Right, lunch - panini from Olio and cheese (purchased).Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Glad to hear you are feeling better.
Your Olio haul is always amazing!DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Morning all,
Thanks LWAP. I am feeling much better and went for a short cycle today which has made me realise how much I’ve missed it!
Am typing from the garden as the sun is shining at last and work is quiet. I’ve picked up some bread from Olio and since I’ve been back have sown some herbs and more calabrese. Have also realised I need some more seeds as I keep forgetting I bought some baby plants last year and so don’t have the seeds to grow them! Am just sitting down with a cuppa and a piece of baklava (bought yesterday, very in-MSE) and then will continue with rearranging the patio so my little greenhouse gets more sun. Mr MV is not happy about this as it means there will be less space for pretty things, but my seedlings need the sun for now.
I also have some Velcro to improve the fixings on the rack bag on my bike - it’s a small rack as it’s a folds bike and the bag moves about quite a bit and is becoming a bit misshapen.
Will head to see dad this afternoon as it’s his birthday. Mr MV and I are then going to Wickes after work for some house/garden stuff (not pretty stuff, infrastructure!). Evening class tonight. Lunch will be panini (hopefully actually melted ones today as the circuit tripped yesterday when I was cooking!) and dinner will be daal of some description to use up some of the chutney.
Mr MV has just informed me that Eon have been on the phone and will be giving us an update later…
MS things:
* YG survey and received the £20 gift card for the YG town hall
* Clicks, HW and comps done
* Entered lots of comps yesterday as the weather was so minging!
* Seeds sown* Olio bits
Gratitudes:
* sunshine! It’s gorgeous today at last!
* Beautiful blossom on my cycle - I stopped to photograph it
* Cycling - I’ve missed it! (And as it was all on segregated cycle ways I even went without my helmet - very freeing!)

Fingers crossed for a positive update from Eon! About tie they got back to you - assuming it is on the subject of the complaint!
It must be the time for lower back pain as I'm struggling with that at the moment as well - I was just beginning to deal with it by way of stretching/being mindful of posture then I got knocked flying on saturday and now it's back in full force - not ideal! You're right about some gentle movement often improving things though - and foam rolling as well (that's a runner's cure for everything, mind!)
You are putting me to shame with Prolific - I need to get my head back in the game of checking it in the evenings as I often pick up odds and ends then!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Oh dear, I hope you get the results soon Vix, glad you are feeling better now after all the fainting. I usually get asked if I want to lie down for blood test I I look so terrified, very embarrassing 😆
What herbs have you sown? In the past I’ve just potted up supermarket ones, I’m guessing they are not as good though?
