Time is the post precious gift you can give children I think. My stepmum admitted to me one day that she was jealous of me leaving the dirty dishes in the sink to go and read or play with my kids.
The other point I would like to make is we all need to learn, and teach our kids, to say NO. I was given a book years ago called 'saying no, why it's good for you and your child', it helped me understand some of my own behaviour and relationship issues.
Upstairs hoovered
cat trays done
DW loaded
Lunch cooked and eaten
Bikes on bike rack ready to take to the other house

I still need to go to the chemist, make a picnic, hoover and mop downstairs
Better get a move on, these floors aren't going to clean themselves.8 -

Squeak has been planting lupins and holly hocks and other bits from a lovely flyangel too.. Her little greenhouse is quite full.Ranty email sent.. lloyds chemist have randomly taken Boogs prescription off the NHS system without our consent.. NOT happy... At least they got in touch with us this time rather than having to go 3 months without medication when echo stole mine.. it was not a polite email.. not at all. Boog is the one with diabetes so would be dead by then!stomach feeling a bit better now I have tipped pain meds in.4 carriers of food deposited at my mothers and a box of lateral flows. My mother did however give me a lift to pick up the baboons so that was helpful..
Squeak off to her cello lesson with DS2 and I need to do food for them all.. it is all they ever do, eat, eat, eat...LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)7 -
Hi all
WFH today and I accidentally brought some of my assistant's notes home with me, felt awful because she thought she had lost them, so I had the mad idea of cycling in to work with them. Then I took the long (and hilly) route home, it was so windy and nearly killed me but I loved every minute, and no diesel costs.
DH always has a floordrobe so I bought him a basket to keep it tidy, the basket was overflowing so I gathered it all up, put it on a quick wash and dried it outside. Need to go and put it away or it will end up back in the basket.
Pasta for tea, hob needs cleaning and a bit of tidying up to do. Glad its Friday tomorrow.8 -
Well done on the cycling YL, it sounds like it did you the power of good xx
We now have sunflowers, kale and courgettes all merrily sown and on various windowsills throughout the house. We’ve had a truly lovely evening, so whomever you are, thank you so much from our home to yours xx
I am going to Lidl tomorrow and have written a very set list - hoping beyond hope to get one of their magic £1.50 fruit and veg boxes. Then I have a child free weekend, which I intend to spend resting, reading and pottering.
Sleep well all xx

another item sold.. ready to post tomorrow.
I have emailed a secondary school to go view it for Squeak.. I have chased the SLT and I am speaking to school tomorrow about a place at the autism unit for Dot. I don't think she will cope at all in a mainstream secondary school and I want her to be happy, nothing more. I've got over the tears of relief for the EHCP and I am now ready to put up a fight again.. I need to redirect the energy into productivity.. selling stuff and sorting schools for the girls.
I am also very angry with my mother and I going to be having words.. she was agressive towards Squeak earlier because her selective mutism meant she couldn't answer a question.. she will not speak to my daughter that way.. She would not speak to my cousins non-verbal child that way and I will not have my daughter disrespected like that.. so.. I'm having words. I have decided.
We have bought DS2 a ticket for Squeaks Friday showing because he is taking her, he can watch the show on Friday and bring her home again. Thursday she is there 3 hours for dress rehearsal so he has time to come home with a day-rider bus ticket. Saturday and Sunday OH can take her.
So.. with all that sorted I shall now sort the budgetting for the rest of the month.. I am £100 down on the panel mesh and I have music stuff and swimming to cover..
