Fayolle said:Morning all
Up at normal work time, obviously, as it is my day off. DH pushed reluctantly out of the door to the office.
Tea slurped, a couple of chapters of my (not very inspiring) book read, up, dressed, hair washed, bedding changed, wm on. It’s sunny but very frosty out - but the bedding will be going out on the line later.
Next stop - list making, especially as I - ahem - seem to have been saving my flying up for today. This may just be the most productive part of my day.
Good luck Valli, taming the crocodile.
Have good days all xxGah typical you couldn't get a lie in - in! My hubby is finally going back to work this week after 2 years! Albeit 3 days but hey ho! It's progress! It's soooo silent it's a mixture of bliss and loneliness too! I feel all lost! I guess I kinda am. I lost a few support networks over covid and they have just broken up and I am struggling to refill the void big time! No frost here but there is a cold wind so my laundry won't be going out until next month. Drying my clothing on radiators and in a tent type machine thing. Forgotten what's called now but it dries it with hot air. It's kinda cool! Only had it about 3 weeks. Right better go to get some kids from school. Morning routine complete but not had lunch yet as I took a nap earlier!8 -
Dorks collected.. they are so annoying! Already.. making stupid noises and squawking.
I have an alarm set for 4:30 to remind me to do dinner.. 2 loads of washing off the line and aired inthe dryer so I could fold and put them away.
DW needs loading, Kitchen needs sweeping.. the cats have shredded cardboard eveyrwhere. I have another parcel to post. an £8 wooden cake set thing.. and I forgot I sold the £40 DM's this month too.. Why are people obsessed with wanting Hermes to steal.. deliver their parcels.?? They took a £1000 laptop.. they are not getting a penny of custom from me.. plus I can't walk to the nearest drop off place.. or offering pennies less thn you're asking in the first place.. 26p one of the offers.. why??!!!
I'm reaally tired.. and I don't want to adult. I am still annoyed with OH and the girls asked me why.. so I told them.. they understand when others say things which make you feel bad inside and make you sad.. so we kept it simple but I think they get it.
Anyway.. day 3 of the drudgery of pack ups and dinner and bed time.. *cry* ... Parents evening tomorrow so OH booked it as a holiday so he could come which means I have to be awak after 4pm and he will drive both school runs.. and I can have him post these parcels and he can take Squeak out in an educational manner.

Ah, there you all are! Been wandering around on my own...
Major Loss and Disaster Team (MLDT) came today and assessed the damage. Sanitised all available/accessible surfaces and have left us with two huge industrial dryers and two dehumidifiers that are now on full power. Also, two TVs arrived, as DH obviously has his priorities in the right order for replacements. MLDT will come back in a few days to take more damp readings and meanwhile they are advising my Insurers of the best course of action.
I have no energy today - was awake twice in the night with the collie pup barking to go out - second time I wasn't fast enough, but the pooches are all snoozing quietly now. Small and Tiny have been sent to their rooms for fighting. They always play me up really badly when DH is away for work. It's like they think I'm a soft touch. Did some shouting and growling and made threats of just bread and butter for tea and they did clutter off, but I doubt the peace will last.
Not much flying done...a bit of washing up with hot water from the kettle, as the hot tap is still not fixed, but other than that, just online work and queries.
Massive yawn just now and gritty feeling eyes mean it will be an early night for me.

I didn’t get to the admin or mending that I had on my list, but realistically I probably never was going to. I never learn, my lists are always too ambitious ☹️Whole house dusted and vacc’d after a fashion. Bathroom cleaned. Utility room sorted, but not obvious to anyone but me. Washing dried on the line outside, mainly due to the wind. Cooking done: dinner for tonight and tomorrow, rice pudding to use up some milk, cherry coconut cake nom nom, and bread. Oh and I also cut out some dress material that I have had forever. The pattern was all pinned on, I just hadn’t actually cut it out. Another project joins the list.
Ok, maybe I have done something now I see it written down.9 -
dinner and pack ups done.next load aired in the dryer.. i need to fold that and I have a lot to put awayknitted neckband on Lionels cardy.. picking up stitches for button bands next.. I hate buttonbands, I usually knit them on as I go but was too stupid to figure out th epattern with them this time.DS2 loaded the DWI've not heard anything regardingTwinkles blood tests yet.. or mine, they are usually screaming about anaemia and other rubbish by now.. I may ring the paeds secretary tomorrow... see what they have discovered.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)9

Hi all
I was not in the mood for the paid stuff today but we have a little team meeting first thing on a Tuesday so I plastered a smile to my face and rallied the troops. Little trip to Li@l and then to the library in my lunch break and home by 4.30pm.
Two loads of washing out and almost dried. Veg curry made for tea which was taking ages to cook and I was hungry so couldnt wait, I think the leftovers will be better reheated. DH put our sheets in the WM so they will need to go out tomorrow.
New electricity prices have been sent through so I have been doing some number crunching, thankfully our usage has gone down by about 2000 units a year since the boys left home!!9 -
Can I just say happy 'International Women's Day'! A time to reflect just how awesome women are at holding up their own little corners of the universe. You are all amazing, 💪
Minimal flying today but some young minds taught some important 'how to be a reasonable human being' stuff. Probably in one ear.....
8yo somewhat nurtured, still alive, mostly clean and definitely fed. That'll do.
Oh, I wiped the kitchen sides 😂10 -
Running to catch up as usual.
Had a rather nice peaceful weekend; lovely lake swim followed by an overnight stay with friends in Suffolk - although we talked a lot about the war, we didn't turn the TV on once.
Who knows what I did yesterday other than a run and finishing a report. And unpacking.
- Today started with a gym swim.
- Went into Mr T on the way home as a brave, kind, ex military man from the village has rented a van to drive to Poland with donations from villagers......right now he wanted first aid, toiletries, sanitary wear so I bought loads. Took them round to him, his garden is full of bags and he says so is his garage and his neighbours, he has enough for about 3 trips. Amidst all the many things they have suffered, how degrading must young women feel with no sanitary arrangements/protection.
- Also dropped into C00p as I had a £4 off £20 plus a couple of 50p off vouchers to use today. Mr T had lots of yellow stickers so I did quite well.
- one load of washing done
- one load through DW
- set up payment for car service 'savings plan'
- cancelled milk for tomorrow
- prepared paperwork for next 2 days' assessments, both on line this week.
- did some drum practice
- more report writing.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.8 -
Good morning you wonderful lot.
I'm up, showered and dressed which is a good start to the day. Yesterday evening was a bit emotional as looks like the alterations wanted by the person interested in the house won't be allowed, and we were trying to sort out logistics to go to a funeral, DD2's graduation and then meet up with friend for me to go on skiing holiday with them. It looks like we have a plan so will confirm with OH at lunchtime and then book the ferries.
Bed made, clothes picked up
DW done
Banking and spending checked
House is still tidy
I have doctors appointment this morning and will probably pop to the shops for a few bits,
I need to scan some bills and email them to the agent
More coffee and then find some shoes so I can go out8 -
I just want to put myself in the bin today. I am in so much pain I cannot think straight. I've had many meds and hopefully will be functional soonish.Girls deposited at school. OH is off today for parents evening .. he took the day as a holiday as they wouldn't let him just have an hour off.. weird or what? !! anywya.. I have lots planned so I don't have to talk to him..
I have a pile of washing to go out and a mountain of pots to go through the DW.. Boog is getting an earful today.. I am so done with their lazy entitled @$$.
Pixie fed the fluffers.I have 3 things to post.. I need to add up my total.. it's really hard because V!nted don't let you look at sales until they are received and lump postage in with prices which I don't count in my totals. It's about £93 I think with the £40 boots.. FLING!!! I will have OH get the 2 other stacking boxes down and list their contents over the next few days.. I really need some room!!!My redelivery should happen today and the age 11-12 dresses I ordered for my 8 year old are being replaced with 12-13 today.... she is going to be the tallest of my lot, including the boys!
