Good morning. I hope your pain has diminished by now, piggers x
Since waking up at 6.45 I have
- shuffled my finances
- started checking the dreaded accounts and found that I had put one debit sub-total of almost £3K in two placesso there wouldn't have been much chance of it all balancing
- made breakfast
- S&S'd the kitchen
- tidied the LR
- watered the houseplants
- had (for once!) a reasonable conversation with DH about what social activities he is planning over the next few weeks, because this will affect how or even if I modify my own activities - as I've been doing for the past 2 years - with the aim of keeping Covid out of the house so that the rescheduling of his hip replacement op is not disrupted. It was very hard work keeping him on point.
- showered and dressed
- made my bed
- FUPA clean washing
- brought in the black bin and all the recycling bags
- sorted the shed (where the recycling bags live) and consolidated the cardboard boxes which have been piled up for DDiL1's business
Now enjoying a quick cuppa before picking up the cane toad again... Will catch up with you all later - have a good day xx

Absolutely wonderful news piggers xx
Hugs to all who want one. I’m feeling a bit flat this afternoon - note to self, your family do not understand you so don’t bother trying to fit into the box they want you to fit into. I am sick of passive aggressive comments suggesting my children are somehow deprived because I refuse to get into debt to spruce the house up. Then there are the ‘cant you just get a job then’ comments... literally just ****** off, please. It seems my FL friends officially know and understand me better than my own family.
I’ve lit the fire and am looking forward to the children getting home from school. Toasties and chips for dinner xx

Piggers great newsDaily stuff doneI've just ordered 3 news doors to sort out the rest of this house.Managed to get free a tree that had been chopped down, so I have spent the morning and part of afternoon, once it was home, sawing it up in to log size pieces, I am worn out now. Please can some one tell me why I have 4 cats at my disposal (3 mine, 1 next doors) I find a mouse, in the bird feed suet block holder cage thing, happily eating away on the suet block?Found a load of frogs in the garden, when I move some other wood.ASB, we understand you hugs xBreast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

I'm so pleased for you Pigpen.
ASB, now you know why I'm happy to have a strip of water between me and family! I'm a big believer in people all being different and doing things differently.
Kaz, I have 2 cats and still find my pasta is being eaten by mice
Indecent amount of money spent on a Channel crossing so we can come to a funeral, but I know it means a lot to OH, yes we can afford it, but I'd just rather not go. I don't get anything out of a funeral, I find them rather staged.
Lovely long chat with friend
Pellet stoves cleaned out
Dinner sorted, chips here too, yummy
Post dealt with
Prescription collected
Need to sort out keys for estate agent as she wants to come when we're away.
Just enjoying a cuppa then will chase the hoover around downstairs

Thank you all.. I have spent most of the day spontaneously crying with relief.. all those years of battling are finally paying off. We have decided to go at least look at the specialist Autism unit as an option for secondary. She will not cope in mainstream secondary school and her needs have to come over what anyone else thinks or feels including my mother who can be pretty obnoxious on a good day.. my child, my choice.. and I only want what is the absolute best for her!
ASB.. I feel your pain.. tell them straight.. don't be all nice and agreeable.. tell them if they want those superfluous things for your family then you are happy for them to pay for them.. they usually shut up pretty quickly at that point.
Ma'am.. I can't see the point of funerals either.. it isn't like the deceased would know whether you are there or not, I can pay my respects in many other ways. I think I have been to 3 funerals and they just seemed like an opportunity to drink, reopen old family feuds and start new ones.. I know my view is not popular, particularly amongst older generations.. I'd be quite happy to have one of those cremations from the place of death and here have a jar and fling it in the sea.. my passing is not an excuse for a party.. I don't even like parties! Each to their own of course and I would be respectful towards anothers feelings.. but it's not for me.my wool is beautiful..I have a new £200 coat as well.. but it was not £200 to me because I am tight as a fishes butt.
Boog eventually loaded the DW
Dinner in.. all the food because I cannot think so its a buffet..LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)8 -
