Hi all
Busy day at the paid stuff. Checked in with the boys and my brother. DS2 coming home tomorrow. Managed a walk after work, legs felt heavy after cycling yesterday.
House is presentable, washing up to date, got some dried outside. I bought a lovely dress from the charity shop for work but it still smells a bit charity shoppy even after washing and hanging it out. I might just have to squirt plenty of perfume on when I wear it for the first couple of times!
Fire lit, feet up now. Enjoy the rest of your Friday night all xx7 -
Sitting in the almost dark, with DHs coat on, feeling sorry for myself. I'm cold and tired and have a very annoying Bulldog slobbering and snuffling nearby. Its DH's last day at his old job before he officially starts with the new lot (although he's been working with them for the last three days all over the country) so he's out with all his now-ex colleagues for a few drinks.
Had the big gun Loss Adjuster here today and he checked things over and hopefully will now start the ball rolling. I got a bit upset when they started talking about stripping back the tiles in the wetroom, tearing out the kitchen, throwing away all our things and moving us out, but DH says they can't do anything like that without our approval. I'm just having horrible flashbacks to living in the caravan and I honestly don't think I could do that again.
I have a hideous headache and the pasta ravioli I bought for tea was revolting, so I'm in a grump.
Glad to hear your good news Pigpen x10 -

My first draft of the church grant application has been sent off to the rest of the committee for their comments. And in looking over the accounts file for information required on the grants form, I discovered an unfinished line in the accounts. Duuuuuuhhhhh!
I am taking the rest of the evening off! Food shopping and flying tomorrow
Happy weekend, everyone xx10 -

Morning lovelies
@mumtoomany - thank you SO much for that link. It has brought me great joy reading it. I’ve saved it to my favourites, thank you, see you on the beach!
HB - you’ve just hit the nail on the head - I too am living exactly the life I want to live and we love it. Thank you xx
I’m up early despite being home alone. I’ve seen to the chickens and ducks, now it’s time for a cuppa back in bed. There are some small bits of DIY I am going to tackle today, but will basically be having a super chilled one.
I’ll pop back on later I’m sure, love to all xx

Hope you're feeling better Dizzy, enjoy your time 'off' ASB! Planning a good tidy/dust today as I think my Mum is coming to stay this week for a few days. Will hopefully do it whilst on the phone to my Old Lady thereby two jobs at once. It's so hard to get out of bed on Saturday mornings though!

I have just spent an hour getting up to date with house admin and paying bills. Just left one thing to tackle but as it's been a frog for a decade, it can wait a bit longer.Spend less now, work less later.9

Paid my car tax at 5.00 (thanks Rosie
)
Flung open windows for fresh air
Fixed curtain hook back into runner
Started WMx1 of ???
Created a banking record sheet
Decluttered some papers and filed others
Found where my regular (only non-migraine-inducing) decaff coffee is cheapest today
Had a text conversation with a friend who is celebrating her birthday today - she said she has put off her bath until next year! I've heard of moneysaving methods but that is ridiculous... and smelly!
DH prepped breakfast
I picked up the blueberries he had spilt all over the kitchen floor
Threw away dead daffs - will buy some more when I go out
Checked that the GP had sent my prescription to our local pharmacy
Must get dressed!8 -
Morning all xx
Day 1 of my 10 days off. And breathe....
I'm trying a No Plan day today, not to be mistaken for a Do Nothing day! I read somewhere that it's good to have an occasional No Plan day .... so we'll see. My brain is already rebelling and making a list for tomorrow 🙃
piggers - Good news re Dot, and hoping Twinkle soon gets whatever she needs to feel sparkly again. Sending love to you all xx
Get well soon to all the poorlies xx
A mahoosive hug for each and every one of you amazing ladies xx
I'm up.....not impressed at waking up at 6.25 on my first day off but heyho. I've made my bed and supped my first brew. Brew 2 and breakfast next. I'm pretty sure that I'll feed the birds and put out the rubbish and recycling because that's what I do do. That's not planning? Is it?
Hmmm...wonder if it's okay to spend a No Plan day planning the rest of the week, month, year? 🤪
