Lsd - i now need to buy cakes for school for the jubilee celebration and they have been really funny about people not bringing them in...a child mentioned if they could not afford to bring any in (i know the family and they don't have much) and the teacher was quite nasty saying they wont get any cake so i am taking 2 boxes in one for dd and one for the child.

Well it just shows you how things have changed & not for the better.  Well done you!
  • Thank you @badmemory things have changed and it is awful, i think with how things are, more people esp schools should be more careful. Safe to say i have spoken with the school and they did not mean it this way apparently and have told children they would get a cake. I did get an extra box for the child to take in! Right off to work so will catch up later

  • I have just worked out my new totals of debts
    Natwest overdraft £2000
    Zopa £60
    Safety net £395
    Capital One £155
    Capital One £254
    Aqua £1461
    Loan £1675
    Lowell £240
    Lantern £685
    Natwest loan £5637
    Eon £1164
    Total £13,721

My previous total was £14375 so a reduction of £654. With all the extras that have come in recently i think i have done well. I am aiming to reduce it down by another £400 by the end of this month when i am paid. Feeling good seeing a reduction if i can get upto £500 a month it will make it 27 months until it is all paid off.....that will help me tomorrow find more bits for fleabay if i can get it higher a month and reduce that even further!
June to pay off Zopa and one capital one thats my aim! I am going to try and do it off fleabag sales only! I have increased my eon payment too so hopefully that will come down quicker esp with reducing my usage too!

Wow that's such amazing progress! Great to see an up-to-date debt list of how far you have come. £400 is a strong amount to put towards repayments and we share the same figure there as I am also hoping for a total figure of that amount to put to my CC each month :)

How do you find fleabay with the costs etc? Have you tried Vinted?

I am sure you will have no problem in getting rid of Zopa and Capital One once and for all this time next month! Go youuuuu!!

  • Thank you @Squirrelz92 my Zopa hasnt been cleared yet due to paying off dds trip...£250 for 2 nights its shocking! But agreed to it last year, mil helped thankfully but also had some other things creep up but i am on the right track and thats all that matters!
I haven't tried vinted but i have heard good things i may have a look and see how i get on.
I just realised i have 2 bags of clothes given to me for dd in the car so i am going to get them out and have a sort through!
Second load of washing done i am waiting for the first load to finish drying outside then they will go on. Oh had a productive morning in the garden me not so much but it is my chilling morning today and i feel better already by not rushing about!
