Today has been productive so far, been and got mils bday present (oh paid) brought dd a milkshake £3.99....but she never asks for anything bless her.
Thats all i plan on spending. I sorted the clothes for dd out that we were given they had been up my friends loft so needed a wash...the second time they have been washed has just finished i am hoping the damp smells goes if not i will try one more wash, unfortunately due to the rain they will have to go in the dryer but i dont mind as there are well over £100 worth of clothes given so an extra 50p of electric is worth it and i am currently only on 84p for the day.
Todays plans:
Sort uniforms out for back to work and iron it.
Put clean washing away
General housework.
All food from stores.
Spend no more money, have been invited to a garden party later but it depends on the weather if we go, if we do i wont need to take anything anyway but may make a banana bread using some bananas that are on the turn to take with me but il see!
Have a look for some bits for Vinted and try that out.
Write a list and pop to lidl tomorrow for sandwich bits...i will stick to the list!
Need to find something for tea....weve got plenty just need to find something!
Right time toget something done!0 -
I would try leaving the clothes out in the rain rather than a third wash. A couple of days airing outside might do the trick1
-
Thank you @stymied the second was was alright tbh not amazing but ive managed to dry it all outside today and i think the fresh air has done the trick!
Currently sorting out some of dds toys its never-ending a lot is just rubbish found some bits to fleabay tomorrow had to spend £2 on bin bags as i had run out so will book a tip run for tomorrow and fill my car up shortly hopefully will go before dds club so will be an early one tomorrow morning!
Off to finish tidying up my upstairs looks like people have ransacked the place!1 -
Todays been ok not ideal but ok, had to buy dd some new shorts, £18.97 spent on 3 pairs in the sale, £3 spent at dds club today, took drinks. Tomorrow's plans:

Sort out cards for friends bday, gor her present yest was £20.50 but she always goes mad for me and i only buy 2 adults who arent parents in the year!
Right off to watch some more bgt!1 -

To add to the rest of todays plans:
Work
All food from stores.
Uniforms for Tuesday.
Need to send an email to school about dd leaving 10 mins early on Tuesday due to appointment -done
Sort out cards for friends bday
Keep energy under £1.75
Take a meter reading.

Right I have worked out so far i have paid off 5% of my debt whilst it has taken me a while i haven't got anymore which is a bonus 1% is £143.5 but i will round it upto £145 i am aiming for 3% per month to be chipped away at and anything more I will throw at the debt too....i have all these intentions but I am really trying. Just settling into my new job and working out the wages.
Spoke with oh earlier we should get the extra £650 towards out gas and electric so it is going off the bill then hopefully we should owe npower nothing but able to make the monthly payments and bit better as the overpayment will go towards the extra bill so it will even itself out!
Today has been a nsd and a good one, been very productive at home after work, energy under £2 but with the dryer on to dry some clothes.
Tomorrow's plans:
All food from stores
Work
Dd has club so will take drinks
All energy under £2...aiming for £1.75 ideally.
General housework.
Iron uniforms for Wednesday.
Put something in Vintd i found i had been brought but prob wont use could ideally get £40 for it as it is designer and brand new...i am hoping!
Right off to bed!1 -
Wow that is great! 5% is a big chunk to have paid off so far so well done you! Amazed at how you manage to keep energy below £2. Mine is always £3 and I am the mean one turning off lights and sockets if not being used etc.Debt Remaining: £8,781.53
3 Month EF: £1,000/£4,494
2025 MFW Challenge #9: £999.00/£4,0001 -
I'm obviously useless at this as mine is £8 per day, average for april & may. I console myself with the thought that I must make everyone else feel good!

Thank you i am pleased with my 5% would have liked more but its not growing which is the main thing!
For my gas and electric, i am going off my smart meter thing, tbh we dont use energy in the day as were at work and school, the house is quite warm so we havent had the heating on for a while maybe once in the past 6 weeks and that wasn't for long. So its only the lights and tv along with the cooker and obviously baths but oh is fitting a new shower the weekend so it should save even more as he will have those over a bath!
Today has been good, another nsd! Could have easily got a takeaway on the way back but ive just put some random bits in the oven i had.. its these little changes that i am more pleased about!
Will update my list a little later but i have more or less done everything for today!0 -
I have just checked and last August i owed £1750 to eon now i owe £1164 so a big reduction, i do need to submit my meter readings but hoping they won't be as big! As i have been careful! Aiming for November with the extra amounts being paid and also the government grants it will be cleared and hopefully with some extra in the pot to help cover the winter bills! So 33% paid off that in 10 months without being as careful!
2022 is the year i change things around and this is helping my momentum as I can see I am going in the right direction!2
