Well yesterday was a busy but good day, NSD took drinks to dd club, didnt really fancy tea but dd and oh had food from stores.
Today been to work, went to get washing powder and some bits £34 spent but i did get a lot and the washing powder should last 6-8 weeks, stocked up on reduced toothpaste, cobs for the freezer, just general bits really but mostly stuff i needed or will use before payday. Total food spends for the month £238 with 16 days to go i have £62 in cash and £17 in cashback app. This week i should only need fresh bits for sandwiches and dog food. If i budget £30 at the max then i should be able to do it, it will be tight but not undoable...hopefully.
    Tonights plans:
Bath, dry hair, sort dinner out for tomorrow for work. Make a meal plan and do an online shop for the weekend, will try and use cashback products and coupons.
    Tomorrow
    All food from stores
Washing and dry what i can outside.
    Energy under £2
    General housework
Sort uniforms out for Friday for work and school.
Plan what we want to do for thr queen's jubilee...i fancy a day out somewhere but free so will get creative i think/hope so if i have any ideas.

For my motivation i keep thinking if i pay my debts off i should at least have £400 a month...thats £48000 in 10 years....thats a lot of money, i could if i were being negative look at how much its cost me but it is done, i am not bringing the negatively in only looking to the future and paying this off will make things easier. I am also trying to work out my first wage at my job i hate the first wage its always bad and my old place are deducting allsorts from staff who leave...so i am dreading my breakdown as they took me leaving personally!
Right off for a bath and a cup of tea!

Well that was a busy and quick weekend! Yesterday i took dd to her club, then went shopping, it didnt end great i spent £87 so I have blew my budget for the month and still have 2 weeks left, but i have stocked up so maybe i will be ok and next week i will only need fresh stuff which i can use my £10 a week to buy as i have gone over in food spends.
Went to a party last night, we all had a good time i had cash on me so i spent £29 omg it was very expensive but we had a couple of drinks and then went.

    Todays plans:
Doing 2 loads of washing and dry it all on the washing line.
All food from stores, i have veggie mince out I haven't used i may make a cottage pie today.
    Iron uniforms ready for tomorrow
Clean up again as the house is in a mess despite me having a good clean yesterday.
Aa the energy prices have risen now i am out of my contract i am going to try for £2 per day  but if it goes to £2.50 I won't stress about it.
Still no idea for the jubilee but will ask oh and dd and try and plan something.

I think thats all for now!

I have managed 3 loads of washing, one had to go in the dryer as it started raining, my energy is at £2.48 atm but i have done one more than i planned, lots of housework done today and the house is finally looking like people live here and not squatters!
Nsd, not been anywhere to spend anything but got lots done, uniforms done for the week, just need to do tomorrow's lunches. Watching a film with dd tonight but i am just making a drink and catching up on my progress today...i think how i am feeling i need to remind myself of the positives and like today i maynot have been anywhere but got lots done, used stuff we have to eat even when i didnt particularly fancy it i did enjoy it when it was done.
Tomorrow is quite a basic day, go to work  tea for me and dd as oh is at work until late, tidy up and not spend anything but tbh we dont need anything so i should be good!
Going to look at my credit karma at debt its not really going down much but it is going down bit by bit hoping to get it down a bit more in the next couple of months once i know my first wages

Still at work, having my lunch thay i brought from home. Got some sausages our for tea as its just me and dd, as oh is at work until late. Will grab dd after work them going to pop and see my friend for a quick cuppa and a chat for an hour then back home for tea, a bath, and a film with dd!
I write to creditors as on my credit file it says default and i have made regular payments so i am hoping they may remove them, i dont want any credit but i also want my credit score to reflect how well i am doing to help keep me going. I have also been reading lots of other diarys for their tips and to help me realise i am not the only one!need to look at energy prices as my contract has ended now and to see what is offered by my supplier i would prefer that than variable increase there is a massive increase and thrlen focus on reducing my consumption.
  • Just had my lunch, brought from home!
Monday was a lsd just 40p on a tin of beans as the sausages had a funny smell and didnt want to risk it so i made cheese and potato pie for me and dd. Yesterday was a NSD, did food from stores  oh and dd did not want it and oh declaring he did not like it....yet somehow they both managed to eat it and did say they liked it...previously i would have said i have nothing out of the freezer and got a takwaway.
Today oh is at work so just me and dd for tea, i have nuggets and pizza in will grab a £1 bag of frozen chips on the way home along with some beans, £1.50 max spend.
Energy is staying low, managed to keep it under £1.30 yesterday.
I need to contact energy supplier about the increase to my dd, a job for this evening.
    Also for today,
All food from stores (except 2 items above)
    General tidy up.
    Energy under £2.
Have a bath this evening and dry hair naturally to save electricity.
Watch the end of a film in bed.
    Early night

Thats all i can think of for now

Energy under £2 is amazing, we can’t get it under £3!

  • Thank you, it takes some skill and oh is in all day but refuses to put the heating on until dd is back, we have fleece bedding for on an evening, my house is not cold and if dd is cold it goes on but usually we just dont, i use dd bath water as shes usually in 10 mins it mainly the washer that uses our power ive got some built up but nothing i need and its due to be nice on a weekend so will catch up then and dry everything outside.
Today has been a bad spend first i spent £4.60 in Mr A, but they had my vape reduced to 63p so got 2 and then my tyre was bald so £30 on a part warn one. I need to start a car fund each month for these bits but want to get caught up a bit first!
Had an email from debt collector regarding 2 debts they will remain in default despite paying the arrangement each month....is this really correct?
I am going to work out f and f payment for each and work towards saving that up once the ccards are paid!thats my plan for tonight.
Tea is in the oven once its done i will settle down with dd for an hour! Oh has done the housework only need to wash up after tea!
  • Ive had a search on debt camel and the default will stay on my account ☹️ but it doesn't matter, the amount is going down and thats the main point! The sooner they are all paid off the sooner i won't see D each month and thats the main goal!
Off to bed now, i don't sleep well when oh is at work until late so i am sure i will feel it in the morning!
  • Hi everyone, I am reading and learning about the finance subject from this website for the first time in my life since 2019. I am 45 and I never had a clue the checking of credit is even possible. You can laugh but I was not aware . Slowly, I have realised the possible reason of refusing me for years from a loan or low interest card. Caring for my paralysed mother for 15 years, being single mum at same time, I was stuck and struggling last 17 years. And paying to debt collectors the amount so terrifying, dismissal  the berating space given due to exceptional circumstances. I never tried to escape the repayment. I thought I had agreement with bank till those guys started the treats.
Standard of life, the dignity for disabled? Accepting terrible credit cards deals to cover helping hands with my mother, the incontinence pads and  falling deeper in high interest credit cards debts..
And yet my beloved mother is gone and I am with debts and limitations to work , cos my illness. I am disable recipient of PIP, I have  no family left as the idea of next . I cannot pay the minimum , kept asking for better deals or the loan to consolidate. Balance transfer cards refused again and everywhere. The bank and agency are ignoring my requests to validate the debt.
The detailed report from TransUnion reveals the news: most data under my name are not mine. Disputing , having evidence I live here not there is also not considered..
I am exhausted and I am disgust. After 15 months I started to clarify the identity theft , all I have is bunch of Solicitors asking more money instead of providing the original agreement.
I am done. I could write all debts off long ago, but I wanted to repay. I have never wanted to escape responsibility to pay my bills. My fatal and incorrect report stands the same. Me and Mums life has been damaged by that.  Nothing changes after the shocking evidence.
I am happy for all good -ending stories of yours, regardless  how unreal (as fairy tales) they seems.
I will not change and go for insolvency as advised. Rather become homeless then be forced to do  it.
Before I will, I wish to ask if anyone have heard or having any advice on suing TransUnion.
Wish you all speedy-debt-recovery and peaceful ever after.
    All the best xxx

  • Hello @LimitationsTime
Maybe for a query id start a thread or your own diary or you are welcome yo chat to me on my diary i don't have happy ending stories yet as i am starting out on my journey...but hopefully i will get there!
As for speaking with debt collectors write down your income and outgoings before any payments to them, with whats left leave youtself some too (even a token payment if it is easier) and either call, email or write along with this statement...do not stretch yourself for a defaulted debt make small payments and save the rest for an emergency fund initially then use it to pay more off...hope that helps.
