Hello all,
Thanks for your kind comments, i think i am going to work out who i am biying for each year and follow @poppy811 idea of putting so much aside. Also i haven't brought any easter eggs, tbh i may cut the list down, as horrible as it is i have 1 child those neices and nephews all come from 2+ children households, i will speak with oh and see what he thinks about just not this year and get dd only!
I defo agree about the takeaways, i did a charity run yest so we had a takeaway afterwards it was no where near as good as i thought, actually forgot to contact uber about the quality i will do that later.
This weekend weve spent more than i wanted but most was spent by oh (we have separate money, weve tried it other ways this works best for us as a couple so not changing)
I think i am going to try and get rid of the 3 smaller credit cards then thats an extra £60 a month i can throw at the overdraft i could potentially start that in around 3-4 months and maybe try and reduce it by £100 a month and any extra is a bonus. I am also trying to chase up a UC payment were owed of £120ish but they are in no rush.
I put the item of furniture up for sale a few enquiries but nothing i will reduce it down to £40 if no takers it can go to the tip as i need the space and the longer its outside its just going to get ruined. Got petrol today and did shopping Friday, i think im all set
Plans for this week:
4 NSD don't actually think i need anything
Reduce price of furniture for sale.
All meals from stores
Complain about yest take away
Catch up on studies.
Plan some days out for easter holidays, will grab some lottery tickets for the £25 vouchers for days out.
Decide what were doing about easter eggs for others and pick some chocolate up for dd, i have a bag plan on buying some bars in the bag as you get more for your money.
General housework, washing and ironing i will try and dry what i can on the line.
Try and keep smart meter below £3 per day, think this could easily be done.
Right i need to think about tea as i am feeling ill from yesterday so not moved much.
If needed i will add more to my list!0 -
Bit gutted the lottery days have ended, thankfully i looked before i brought any tickets so I will have to look at alternative cheap if not free days out for the holidays!0

NSD 1 for the week. Just been to work, had a crap time as its my last few days and they haven't exactly been nice, lots of expectations not enough time....which is most of the reason i am leaving! Anyway only 3 days to go, and i am on that countdown.
Planning things in the holiday with my mom, i am taking her to sort out her holiday home, shes offered it to us for a few nights but may just pop down for the day, will take food so only petrol to be spent.
Housework done today, all meals from stores, energy is currently £2.77 for the day and a couple of loads of washing done, got one more to get out will put it on the airer.
Still need to iron uniforms for tomorrow then get into bed as i am really tired, just having a quick bath.
Plans for tomorrow:
All meals from stores
Energy under £3
Chase up UC missing payment again
Dd has a club so will take drinks,
Cant do much tomorrow as the club takes most of the evening.
Look for some important documents, they are either at my house or my moms, ive looked everywhere except the loft but if i cant get them i cant start my new job without paying £150+ for replacements. Will ask oh if he has seen them anywhere, ironically i have found ohs documents that he will prob never need....typical!
Anyway going to potter around before bed!0 -
Today is NSD number 3, i spent £10 on some bits to top the fridge up, £15 on a takeaway pizza as i finished work and dd had an amazing parents evening.
Today i have spent £27 on bother but oh is transferring me that much. I saved £150 as new job does not need my certificates so don't have to pay for replacements! Today i was off work so visited my mom, did some paperwork and popped to the tip, the garden is looking better already not actually done any gardening just moved some of the rubbish!
Tomorrow dd has a club thats quite far away, will take drinks and snacks. Oh and dd arw going to watch the football so i want to do some studying ive got quite a bit to catch up on and that gives me a couple of hours. Hoping for a NSD tomorrow but we shall see! I have some chicken in the freezer will see what i fancy using it to cook. I still have 2 weeks until payday but i think i may look at my budget and see if i can pay off the zopa card this month, there is £101 due so I think i should be able to then thats another one gone. I am hoping my final pay in May can pay something else off to!
I have also been thinking about budgeting £300 for food pay it off my capital one then use that for my online shopping that may help me as it cannot go over. And anything left stays on the card...0 -
Yesterday i took snacks to dd club, i forgot to get chicken out, oh brought us a kfc cost £12 for the 3 of us.
Today i have spent £31 in Heron on bits and bobs. £4 on dd club. We have decided ona day trip to london, will book train tickets later i have been pricing it up and with the price of petrol there is not much difference between driving or the train. We will book tickets for the museum and i will do a free first month subscription to the coffee place then cancel after our visit so me and oh will have free drinks throughout the day.
Need to finish a meal plan and complete a shopping list for a click and collect.
Tomorrows plan
Take dog to the groomers.
Collect food shop.
Do some studying.
Have bother order coming so will put that away.
All food from stores
Take dog for a walk.
Look for smart watch as i have misplaced it somewhere.
Changed beds today, so wash bedding and dry on washing line along with 1 more load of washing.
Keep energy below £3
Chase up a payment for oh and also a tax rebate along with an incorrect amount on his income tax, his old work stated he got paid twice in October and he didnt....
I have measured myself today i am planning on walking the dog at least 45mins to an hour each day this holiday then i am going to measure myself and see if i am losing any inches. If i find my smart watch i will aim for 6000 steps a day but that will be easier to monitor than my phone as i will always have it on me.
I am feeling optimistic about things atm, how long it will last i am not sure but i am feeling it!

Good to hear you’re feeling optimistic, keep going,I love a list and a plan, makes you feel much better about everything!
Have a brilliant day and hope your dog doesn’t hate the groomer as much as my two do!😂
They both went last week and while I prefer them when they look a bit messier they are certainly easier to clean after the park and they smell better!!!😊0 -
Thank you Amber, my dog loves the groomers, they charge about £5 more than others in the area but he likes it there so worth it, also we have had him cut a lot shorter the past few times so it has lasted around 8 weeks instead of 5!
Today ive called 2 more debt companies i couldnt get through to previously and set up nominal payments at least it wont show as defaulted on the credit report and i am making a start! Just 1 more to go but their phonelines were down.
Dd been to a holiday club shes eating pizza with a friend, previously i would have taken them to a coffee shop and spent £12+ on a hot chocolate and cake and still had to feed them when they got back! The best bit the club was free and she loved it, shes been to that one a few times from one of her activities and always enjoys it. Done some washing, had heating on when dd was back but put another layer on when i was on my own. £150 payment finally came in from what i was owed that will help me with the end of the month as ive been struggling. Altho only a week until payday!
Think all ive spent today was 50p but my gave it me for parking as i had no change. So a NSD for me!
Tomorrow's plans
Spending the night away with mum and dd, i have petrol and will take sweets, we will get a chip shop as a treat and a walk into town for it got some baking sets so will take some with us for dd to do, plenty of painting sets down there already for rainy day activities. Will sort things tonight, only going for one evening as a little break away for dd!
Going to put my second load of drying in the dryer as its got trousers in and i only seem to have a few pairs that actually fit!
No walking the dog for me as been busy running about and cleaning the house so oh will take him later.
Feel like ive had a busy few days cleaning, tidying and sorting its not all done but i feel like i am getting some motivation back and whilst i am sorting the house i am not spending money!1 -
That was a busy Easter weekend! Spent the night away with my mom and then again with oh at my moms holiday home, a couple of free nights away. We took some drinks did get chip shop but managed the order so we werent over ordering and spending more than we needed to. I have still spent money but only on tea and an ice cream as a treat! I have spent £21 from Saturday. Friday we went out with friends 6 hours out for the whole day and we spent £26 but that included some drinks from the shop (paid for itself compared the the prices there) parking which was £6.60 the fair for dd and ice creams, i think that was a bargain.
I can live with £47 for 4 days over Easter weekend. Including a big day out and a seperate night away.
Tomorrow were going out for the day again,
Plans for the rest of today:
Clean up. -done...as much as i can
Do some washing and will prob have to use the dryer-dome but will put what i can on the airer.
Print out tickets for tomorrow -done
Make some wraps to take with us and some snacks. -done
Have a bath and chill afterwards as tomorrow will be busy! Currently running a bath
Tea from stores today! - didnt happen £7in kfc will try harder from Wednesday but been on all day and only had a bag of crisps i got to the point i was gone to be sick
I think thats enough for the last few hours of today
Thats all for now but i maybe back later with my plans for the week0 -
A very busy evening running about but very impressed with how much i have managed to get done, also charging front door camera as its been dead for approx 6 weeks its been one of those jobs i kept thinking il do that in a minute and never get to it! Also managed to print things for work and scan some paperwork over and claim some cashback from Saturdays shopping, again i meant to do but going away yesterday threw me off.
I cant actually believe it but ive done everything i wanted to do tonight ready for tomorrow.
Tomorrow's day out will be a long one but hoping to keep spending as low as i can for the day it will be mainly some lunch and a snack for the way home as on the train.
Wednesdays plan (as i will be too tired tomorrow)
All meals from stores, dd at a club will take snacks and a pot noodle for lunch.
£2 for the club but its 3 hours long so a bargain.
Get chicken out for tea in the morning.
Bake a cake with dd as i have lots of sets.
Do studying.
General housework.
If its nice do some gardening when i am back, just weeding and a general tidy.
Chase up a payment for oh.
Payday on Wednesday so i am going to pay my £300 capital one card off and that is my new food pot, i cannot go over it i will withdraw £40 cash (£10 per week as extra spends) then i want to not use my bank card for a whole month....work out budget for the month. I think £300 could be doable for the food and if i do click and collects i keep a better eye on what i am spending. Nexts week shopping should be no more than £30 i only need sandwich bits, fruit and dog food also washing powder which bumps it up to the £30 i get a big box but tbf my last box has lasted since mid January so worth every penny.0 -
Yesterday was a good, slightly expensive day out but not too bad and both trains were delayed so will be calling them today about a delay discount....
Spent £50 yes but £25 was a present for dd she had her own money but left it at home so really £25 spent.
Anyway todays plans have changed as dd club has been cancelled.
Need a few bits will pop out and get them, i have decided to send my shopping money to my other bank account i dont use save messing with my capital one card, same rules apply my normal bank card is being left at home. Ive wrote my list of 3 things and i am not getting anything else.
Relaxing morning today watching tv and chasing up payments for oh.
Bake a cake with dd later
Get chicken out of thw freezer for tea
Do studying
Got 1 load of washing in, will dry outside as its nice today.
General cleaning and tidying
Sort out paint from shed for fences to hopefully make a start tomorrow if its dry.
Thats all for now will pop back later.0
