Today has been another nsd 3 in a row! Tomorrow won't be as i need petrol, dreading it with the price rise, will put £20 but that should be it tomorrow.
Energy currently at £1.40 and me and dd have shared a bath - we didnt share it i read it back i went in her water after she had been in and just topped it up witha bit more warm water and one load of washing done and dried outside!
Food from stores, chicken hadnt defrosted so i did a mismatch tea from the freezer...it is really going down now which is good! Tonight i plan on tidying up a bit before an early night.
Tomorrow's plans
£20 for petrol
All food from stores.
Work.
General housework
Iron uniforms for Friday
Continue looking at a possible sideline for in the holidays, looks quite good uses my skills and could help me clear a lot of debt i may not be able to get it started for the summer but definitely for the autumn.
Post an item on v!nted, i may try and do it this evening.
Do meter readings as i am struggling to get to the meters.
Thats my plan for tomorrow, i definitely feel motivated coming on here more regularly it defo keeps me in order so i spend loads on random rubbish!1 -
Great going with the NSD's! Gutted about the increase in petrol/dieselDebt Remaining: £8,781.53
3 Month EF: £1,000/£4,494
2025 MFW Challenge #9: £999.00/£4,0001 -
Its been a few days but i have been really tired!
Thursday i spent £21.77, £20 budgeted for petrol and £1.77 on a salad bag and some naan breads in l!dl...nearly went to the shop down the road but naan breads are around £2 fir 2 so I saved money by going to the supermarket on the way home from work.
Yesterday wasnt great but i am still seeingbthe positives, got myself my vape £7 spent, £13 spent in l!dl again i forgot to get anything out of the freezer (altho i dont have much as i have finally got it down quite a lot) so previously i would have ordered a maccies...£25 for the 3 of usbso i spent £13 got some treats and we had big massive burgers! So defo a win in my book. Food shop being delivered tonight £88 spent thats with me being careful but £17 is dog food which I think i may buy a months supply on payday and create a different budget for that as i m trying for £300 a month but nearly £80 is dog food and its a lot of my budget and £220 for 3 of us for food is not viable esp with how the prices are rising so fast! I think if i budgeted £250 a month for food that leaves £60 a week i think i could manage if i did some real work on it!
Todays plans:
Dd club £3 to spend.
Take all drinks and snacks with me.
Do all ironing for the week
Change beds,
All washing to be dried outside
General housework
Film evening tonight.
Put away mountain of washing
Have a cup of tea in bed -currently sorting that one
Claim back cashback from past 2 days receipts and todays shopping when it arrives
Add cashback app to ohs phone too.
Thats all for no2, hsd as food shopping is coming later so it will come out of the bank today.0 -
Had a very productive day today, done most of what i wanted except the cashback app on ohs phone (will do tomorrow) and the receipts on the cash back apps, i will dp thay after a quick bath. Food wasnt all from stores...we had a chinese £18 and i paid for it as shopping wasn't due until late...12 minutes later the driver called and asked to come 1.5hours early....i mean how unlucky is that! Well ee needed a treat, also need to use ohs car this week as going into the city centre and i have to pay for the emissions charge of £8 per day but had to put petrol in, seriously not impressed but i am making sure i use every bit of it this week as he has never put any in my car when hes used it!
Tomorrow's plans:
Dd has club £3
All food from stores, got a nice joint of beef out already.
Did no washing today so will do some tomorrow and dry outside.
Cook a nice cooked dinner, i am really looking forward to it!
General housework
As i have done loads today my day tomorrow is quite quiet tbh, which will be a nice change...right off to quickly jump in the bath!0 -
Today has been a sucess well kind of, i spent £15 at dd club today on some money i owed and forgot about, then another £51 for a friend but i should get that back this week. Done all my jobs had a lovely cooked dinner. Only me and dd tomorrow so will do a cheese and potato pie for tea as it is a favourite!
Tomorrow's plans;
Work (seriously not looking forward to it as i have a serious meeting in the morning and i always get anxious)
Nsd
All food from stores
Keep energy under £3...my tariff has now changed and it is eyebwatering! Up by 70% so at £3 i am still using less than previously
Have a bath and leave hair to dry naturally
My plan for this week is to try and not spend anything until Saturday...i am going to try with this challenge as i need nothing and in theory should be easy....but we shall see!
Tonight's plans:
Make a cup of tea and watch some Netflix before going upto bed at half 10!0 -
I am back...after a very busy week i am back. In the oast 7 days i have had 3 nsds, i have spent a bit more on eating out but used vouchers so brought it down but thats because i have had an event on!
I am back now though and back to money saving and paying off my debt.
Todays plans:
Nsd
Work - currently there
Plan food shops for next month me and oh and trying buying everything in bulk with some left over for fresh bits.
Dd has her club, will take drinks and snacks.
Iron uniforms for tomorrow
All food from stores.
Have a bath and let hair dry naturally
Have an early night.
Thats all my plans for today or at least for now0 -

Hello @Squirrelz92
Yes its like we both had a weeks break sometimes you need a little reset as long as you dont go crazy its nice to have a break!
I have been really busy all week so not had chance to check in.
I get paid Monday but need to do my bulk shop this weekend and put it back from the shopping money on Monday just to make sure i have something for lunch for us!
Tomorrow's plans:
Make bulk shopping list, and meal plan for 2 weeks then just double everything.
Make room in my cupboards as i have loads of old paperwork taking up space.
Dd has an event all paid for in the morning.
Take dd to buy her a new bottle as all hers have either disappeared or are leaking.
Film evening with dd as oh is at work.
Take drinks and snacks with me to the event
General housework
Change beds.
Thats all for now i am sure i will add to it tomorrow 😊1 -
I feel so bad i havent been on here for weeks and yes my spending has spiralled, but this morning marks a change I promise!
I have been feeling down recently and worried about money....so in my head i spend money i dont have and it makes it worse. I have had to buy some stuff for dd trip and for the summer as she is growing so fast.
Todays plans:
Dd at a club this morning, oh is taking her and i need to pop to l!di to get some dog food, i do also need some fresh bits but cant leave it in the car so will have to pop back!
Meal plan for this week, whilst i didnt get everything on my big list to shop once a month i am still going strong with whats in my freezer.
Strip my sofa, wash and dry it
Take down curtains and wash and dry them (this one maybe a tomorrow job)
Put my mountain of washing away
Going out with my mom later, all paid for, will grab some cams from lidl to take in with me and somw snacks for dd
All food from stores -will get something out of the freezer shortly.
Thats all my plans for now i will come back and update!1 -
Again its been a good few weeks since i have been on here but i haven't been too bad in the background i am on holiday now tho so promise to try and come on at least daily for the next couple of weeks and get myself back into full swing.
So with me, weve been on holiday and almost stayed in budget (me and dd got some bargains from the charity shop and i desperately needed some clothes that fit) am back home and need to wash the mountain of dirty clothes, i want to do the big shop for the month i didnt quite complete last month so that is on my list for today.
Whilst i am not making big payments i am making regular payments to my creditors which has not always been my strongest point so i am progressing bit by bit.
Todays list:
Meal plan
Washing on 1 hour wash ans dry what i can outside
All food from stores
Meal plan for the month
Seperate shopping for the month into shops, click and collect where i can
General housework
Maybe visit a friend
Look into gym membership for a short period i need some motivation and i have more time atm to go due to holidays.
Do a survey worth £20 voucher, this will be used for some new wall paper in my bathroom i think
Plans for my holidays:
Do a paint audit.
Paint kitchen
Paint hallway
Decorate bathroom (this is more for oh but i will prep it for him)
Remind oh to put up new blind
Clean windows all through the house
Sort garden and weeding out
Wash all curtains
For this holiday i want to transform my house using what i have or vouchers so its not directly costing me any money. There will be some days out but this is my little plan of what i want to achieve in the house will come back and update later1
