A late one for me tonight as oh is working and i can never sleep properly when he isn't here. I am getting tired now so will be making my way upto bed shortly
Tomorrow's plans:
All food from stores.
Dd has a club £3 to spend
Work out money owed for tickets
General housework
Put clean bedding away
Possibly go to mums holiday home for the day, no spends just petrol, approx £5 worth but i am saving as not at work!
Look at ohs car insurance and look for quotes
Dd has holiday club Monday so get something for packed lunch - low spend here
Try and fix my smart meter it needs to go nearer the meter but no plugs, may need to get creative
Look at paint we have in for the living room i am hoping we have all we need, think i may need a paint roller, hoping we have gloss though!
Right going to finish my cup of tea then off to bed!0 -
What a happy sunny Sunday!
Been a relaxed day today.
Took dd to her club, £3 spent took drinks with us, done a bit (and only a bit of housework) one load of washing put outside to dry, me and oh discussed it due to the heat we arent decorating this week but i am borrowing a carpet cleaner tomorrow and we will clean the carpets downstairs as they are long overdue, that will be a this week job. Spent £4 on bits for dd holiday club tomorrow, food budget down to £82 for the rest of the month just 19 more days and counting (payday falls on a weekend so a day earlier) still got some more bits to do but having an early bath in dds bath water (she is in about 5 mins after being in the pool...no brainer)
Also need to make some plans for this week and look at a present for my niece tonight so i can get something ordered if necessary.
Right off for a quick bath and a late tea as i still haven't started cooking yet but only chilli which is quite quick to do!0 -
Ooooh always on the go @Getridofdebt66! How much does a carpet cleaner cost nowadays? The bedrooms are looking a little worn out so debating hiring one soon but there is no way I can move the king size bed! Do you just go round it?🙄😂

Evening @Squirrelz92
I hope you are well!
In answer to your question i am not sure how much to hire one, i don't think its a fortune money i was borrowing my mums but went there got given some cushions and completely forgot so thats a job for later in the week now! I just go around big furniture that I can't move if i can move it i will! I am lazy enough don't worry! I have also found your diary i am half way through its brilliant and wonderful how well your doing i will comment once i am done
Yesterday i brought 2 birthday presents, budgeted £10 each...spent £25 as one thing was buy one get one half price so i have technically started on the big C word.....today i have spent £5 on drinks as it was hot for dd and treated myself to a vape for £5, visited mum and my friend and came back with a bag of clothes from my friend some fits some things dont yet but hopefully by September it will then i have some new bits! Didn't go to the gym as planned so I have had a relaxing evening as a treat. Haven't cooked anything substantial for tea just noodles dd wanted...i think its too hot for her to eat. Tomorrow me and my friend are taking the kids to mums holiday home (i didn't go Sunday so using that allocation of petrol) will take snacks and look for something in the freezer to take with me for lunch, aiming for a nsd or at the most a lsd. Plan on not doing much housewise tomorrow just general pottering about at home with housework in the morning and tea at home as normal. Will also order a delivery from Mr M as they have £10 off first spend online for Wednesday so will need to rustle up a list first! Only fresh stuff, snacks and dog food to top up what my big shop missed!
Right off for some more relaxing tv!0 -
Awww that's so kind of you to read my diary
It is much appreciated!
So pleased you said you go around the big furniture you can't move. There's no way I could empty a room just to clean the whole carpet. Not sure what professionals do? Hopefully the same as surely they also can't expect folks to empty entire rooms so the whole floor is visible. Your plans for today sound lovely visiting your Mum's holiday home. Is it situated close to the beach? Great weather for it too! xDebt Remaining: £8,781.53

Evening @Squirrelz92 i am not expert with carpet cleaning at all i am just not moving the big stuff...when i do my bedroom i wont move my wardrobe as it may fall apart we are desperate for a new one but whilst its up i am not entertaining the idea and oh doesnt really take any notice or care!
Unfortunately mums holiday home is not near the beach...that would be bliss although our nearest beach is nearly 3 hours away so wouldnt be as easily accessible. It is on the outskirts of a lovely little town its about an hour from mum but only 35 minutes from me, so easy to go for a few hours!
Spent £8 today on bits to take with me on top of fish fingers from the freezer in that i got some fresh bread and milk which i have brought back. It has been a lovely day me and dd really enjoyed it, then we came back and she was straight in the pool for an hour then a quick bath, i am currently cooking a late tea but tbh we had lunch late as she wasnt hungry so thats really why tea is late too!
My lists will be shorter the next few days due to the heat i am planning on not going far and not doing too much, unless its garden related i.e going in the pool.
I shall return with a list shortly ready for tomorrow so i dont get lazy!0 -
Not a wild day tomorrow but i do have some plans
Wash all curtains and dry outside
1 other load of washing to dry outside
Put all washing away (i have 2 loads already not done today due to being out)
All food from stores
Need to order my small food shop Mr M offer disappeared which i am gutted about as i had cashback stuff i wanted and not one close enough to make it worthwhile - i may do this shortly.
Go to the gym...in the blissful air con!
Relax in the garden with dd
Dip in the pool to cool me off if needed.
Polish throughout in the morning before it gets hot
Thats my list its big enough to be acceptable and keep me from buying but small enough to tackle most of it in the morning before i get to hot...hopefully0 -
Watch the sun isn't strong enough to make your curtains fade!

Thanks for the heads up @badmemory i didn't even realise that what a thing? I can dry them on my airer in the shade i just may need to wash and dry 1 pair at a time. Currently got my load of washing in so will decide when thats done, i will be in the garden to keep an eye out but would rather not risk it....0

Right plans have changed slightly, i have run out of polish so its on my list now, dd cleaned her room and i think thats where half a bottle went
Alsonits my nieces birthday and i forgot so quick pop up to Mr A to get the book she wanted and a voucher, she will get £20 in total as she never asks for anything off anyone and shes the second child and i always think she is left out over brother, so i always make sure i make a fuss of all 3 equally!
Got my first load of washing outside and the living room curtains in the wash going to dry them inside out. OH said he will do the blinds so a quick drink then i am off to trim some blinds. Washing put away and kitchen cupboard doors all wiped down clean. I am giving me an hour to do everything else i want to do then get ready to see my niece. Its a very busy day today and feeling hot already but once my jobs are done i know i can relax properly.0
