Thank you @enthusiasticsaver i promise i won't make any silly purchases i can see how 12 months ago i could have easily fell down the rabbits hole.
Today I am really tired think everything has caught up on me. I did make some tea but it was an oven tea rather than what i had planned as i had run out of stock cubes. The meat can go in the freezer ready for next week.
I do want to plan some time in my moms holiday home, not prolonged time tho there isnt much there and only so much walking i can do around the same places but a break would be nice. Will speak with my mom tomorrow about dates to have something planned. I will plan some days out with friends there too, will take food and drinks and will only cost a bit of petrol.
I am going to focus on myself and my family along with getting through work for the last few weeks...just a bit overwhelmed atm but il be ok.0 -
Been a busy few days. Took dd out yesterday and today been to clubs. I have been careful with money, i spent £15 today on top up bits. I need to do the food shop but oh has had £80 taken out of his bank by Microsoft, we dont have anything from them so will call the bank tomorrow to try and get it back but not hopeful. If thats the case i have £30 to feed us this week, i do have the extra meals i have been storing in the freezer. It can be done, tight but I will try my best, maybe beans on toast and some pasta meals as again i have most of the things in just need some pasta sauce. Going to write a meal plan later. Always one thing after another atm. I am not sure why it all happens at once.
Tomorrow's plans
Take dd to club
Iron uniforms for the week
Meal plan for the week
Do a click and collect food shop for Monday
All food from stores
Put clean washing away
Change beds
I am taking a back step this week with jobs, just taking some time thats why i haven't posted much.0 -
Can he cancel his direct debit and check for any others he doesn’t need any more to make sure it doesn’t happen again.0

OH has spoken with the bank, the payment has gone off his card, they cant do anything until the payment clears. Like i said we do not have microsoft on anything except the free office 365 but am worried it is going to be a fight to get it or anything back. Companies like this rely on people having automated payments but we dont actually have the service. OH has juggled some bills and one may bouce for a week but shopping has to come first. Spent £20 in farmfoods today and then ordered shopping to collect tomorrow, £52 Spent therr. Done all my list today except change the beds.
I am feeling really stressed and emotional atm, also keep having people (outside family) having digs at me, when i am trying to help moaning its not good enough. I love helping at dds club but i think its just too much, i am not sure i dont want to stop but dont want to keep getting sniped at and i dont need the stress. I have reacted today, which is unlike me but think its partly to do with the bereavement along with having a hard time at work, just a bit too much atm. Not sure to wait it out or just step back, if i wait it may calm but i may break completely before then but like i said i do enjoy it most of the time. I think i may just go low contact and keep myself under the radar and just not react, but then i annoy myself as it is me then disregarding my own opinion even though I know it is for the greater good.
Sorry for the late night ramblings, just so much going through my brain at the moment i cant turn off. Tomorrow evening i want to use the meditation app before bed, i may even start tonight! See if it helps.
Tomorrow's plans
Work
All food from stores
Collect food shop
General housework
Change beds
Iron uniforms
Thats all!0 -
Today has been a busy one, i am not sure where the day has gone.
Listened to some meditation music today and it has really helped me feel more relaxed today.
Oh has stripped the beds I just need to put them back on, done the cleaning, all meals from stores. I have double made some burgers and they are in the fridge ready to be used again in the week.
Tomorrow's plans
All food from stores
Work all day
Take dd to club, take drinks with me.
General housework
Plan my stuff for the rest of the week0 -
Oh no, the £80 is a bit of a blow, I hope you get some luck with that. If the bank can't claw it back if there is a Microsoft customer service number you can call it might just be worth it.
Glad you found the meditation music helped during this stressful time, you are doing the right thing taking some 'you' time to help recovery.
All the best x1 -
Im back after a busy few weeks in the rw. Lota of money spent but most budgeted for. We got the £80 back along with £205 from UC they said we were owed which was a nice surprise.
Today i took dd out, £15 spent, £20 for petrol and thats it. I have ordered online food shop, needed to stock up on toiletries so shopping is £105 this week but i big shop for us.
Had a relaxing evening once we were back, now i am ready for bed but wanted to check in. Also brought some clothes for me and dd for funeral from Vinted, £20 spent on 2 dresses and a coat, all brand new with tags, bargain.
Tomorrow i want to get the house sorted, its been neglected due to us having lots of plans recently.
Tomorrow's plans
Big clean throughout the house
Unpack online shop once delivered
Do washing
Put mountain of washing away...its a massive job how it stands
All food from stores
Family party tomorrow so will spend no more than £30 less if i can help it, will eat tea there to save a meal, maybe just a light snack before we go.
Look at budget for next month and how many pennies I have towards days out.
Think thats enough as the housework and washing will take up a considerable amount of time...1 -
Yesterday i managed to get everything i wanted done and my house is looking much better.
We went out last night and i spent £27 in total but we had a charity raffle for a charity that is close to our hearts and i wont a prize worth over £100 so really happy with myself and dd is also really happy!
Today is another chilled one, i am quite enjoying not running around as much tbh.
Todays plans:
General housework
Nsd
Washing and drying
Put away clean clothes
Iron my work clothes for tomorrow (dd has already broken up)
All food from stores
I looked at budget for next month, it is not great. I am going to look at my calendar today and see how i can stretch it and start making plans for the upcoming weeks. I also want to look at camp sites and get a few nights away booked so its a break....0 -
Well done on the raffle prize, what a nice bonus. You seem to be on a winning streak with the £80 refunded and the UC you were owed.
After 5 days away at a festival in a tent I can thoroughly recommend camping. It was such a big load of fun and if it wasn't for our 5 cats (and work) we would do it much more often. So much can be fitted into just a few days break even a short one can feel a real holiday.
Ugh good luck with the washing, we have a tumble dryer but I'm loathe to use it this time of year so I glower at the clouds as I peg out my clothes and quietly cuss when 5 mins later I'm bringing it all back in again
Have a great day and enjoy your window shopping of campsites.1 -
Hello @jusferbrowsing thank you for your message, i love camping...once it is set up anyway we went once last year and loved it. I have looked at some sites, we dont need a clubhouse or anything fancy just an electric hook up and ideally by a seaside or at least somewhere with some walks etc. Were waiting for the weather to change then will book something last minute as theres not as much fun if its rainy.
Our luck has been in recently with bits and bobs but now the main one my mums waiting for some work to be done by her insurance after a leak they have said next week...now next week she is meant to be away for the weekend at a friends caravan....she has given us the weekend away instead of it not going to waste. So we have an actual holiday, granted its a weekend only but it will feel so good having a break, will take shopping with us and eat in, plenty of beach days and maybe one drink out on an evening, were not big drinkers anyway and would rather nights in playing games together. I am so excited i have mentally packed my clothes, should have some i can throw together saves buying anything, dd has plenty of clothes to take so no buying there. I will feel better knowing weve actually been somewhere else this holiday so camping and a caravan holiday for this holiday, i honestly cant wait.
Today i had to pop into A and spent £11 on some bits had lots reduced that we will eat so in the freezer. I also had a maccies, as feeling really unwell atm just had a lot on. I got a refund back due to 1 missing and 1 wrong item so actually cost £10 for the 3 of us, can cope with that as a treat.
Tomorrow is my final day before breaking up, had a very productive day today at work too. I am looking forward to a break tho, just hope i am feeling better tomorrow and don't take the illness into the holidays.
Tomorrow's plans
Final day at work
Lsd - cafe sandwich
Take dd to club
Tea from stores.
Thats all i plan on doing tomorrow as i just want to enjoy finishing. The last day is always a busy one so not holding out much hope tbh.
I am also hoping to be very frugal over the holidays if i can be careful we can do what we want without breaking the bank or going into debt, i am also wanting to continue my plan of completing surveys to help pay for dds uniform, thankfully its shirts, skirts and underwear but it still adds up esp the older they get those cheap get uniform for £5 deals are out the window as the price jumps up so much.0
