Good morning @jusferbrowsing
Thank you, i agree OH can be left to sort his own things out, he is capable I am not sure why i have always done it esp now when i have more on myself but he sorted it amd can continue to do so. He will never get organised if i do it all.
I love Vinted, but i only look for things I actually need rather than mindless scrolling, currently I have some things saved for dds birthday, will spend £60 next payday towards items for this.
I am just having an hour before moving to find paint, not feeling 100% today think i have an infection coming so hoping to not overdo things as drs appointments are rare by us.
Right off for one more drink then make start...1 -
First coat done on the decking, it was very sunny today i could have easily given it a second coat later this afternoon but i don't think my back would have been upto it, thats my job for first thing tomorrow morning. I have also put my mountain of washing away, eaten from home, i did spend £6 of ohs money on some lottery tickets to use the £25 discount per ticket for a day out next week, we also had to put £7.50 to the day out in total but saved us a fortune and we will have a nice family day out, will only need petrol and will take a packed lunch (will filter this extra and some goodies into shopping budget for this week) ive also cleaned my bathroom tiles, i scrubbed them so hard but they have come up lovely. I am struggling to find the bathroom cleaner i usually use that cleans it effortlessly but i had an old toothbrush, some bleach and a bit of hard work and they are just as nice. I have sorted some of dds old but perfectly fine uniform out and put some on vinted, hopefully will get some pennies in, need to look for more. Writing all that down i can see why i am so tired already.
Tomorrow's plans
Paint the second coat on the decking
Collect dd from a sleepover
All food from stores
Oh at work so a film evening with dd
Clean all throughout the house as its a bit neglected with us being away and me doing random yet overdue jobs today
Washing and dry outside
Nsd
Call up car insurance about ridiculous renewal quote
Put some items on vinted, still got some uniform and i know i have some old coats and jackets that may go, worth a try anyway.

Wow you have been busy, no wonder you're tired.
Sounds like your family day out ticks the MSE box too so you get to enjoy it with the clearest of consciences1 -
My sympathies for the car insurance quote. Mine was more than double for the same cover.

Hello @jusferbrowsing i have been busy and today was just as busy, im so tired!0

My list has been completed along with the exception of a film night, dd is doing her hair, with clearing a double cupboard and cleaning it out in the kitchen, the pots and pans cupboard along with the cups and glasses have been sorted, a black bag full of carp sorted and in the bin, they were chipped, lots of random lids and just rubbish. Also gutted the whole of downstairs and cleaned upstairs, 3 loads of washing all dried outside, except the last one thats still outside, put towels away just got a little pile to put away tomorrow.
Had a little wobble earlier about money, just stressing and worrying but feeling much better now ive had a chat with oh and weve made a plan. Fed up of worrying about money and not having enough to pay down my debts properly and constantly juggling.
I sorted my car insurance out, its risen by £200 a year but better than the £450 on my renewal. Not great to have an increase but cant do without it.
Tomorrow's plans
General housework
Change beds
All food from stores
Nsd
Make a meal plan
Do online shop
Polish bedroom - dd will do her own she just uses half a bottle of polish.
Put small pile of washing away
Put garden furniture back on decking
Sort another cupboard thats full with clutter
Smaller and more doable list tomorrow to hopefully ease me into the weekend but if its anything like the rest of the week it could easily expand quickly!

Well done with the decluttering, sounds like time well spent and why oh why oh why do we keep so much carp 'just in case'? My art studio has become a general dumping ground and is desperate for a ruthless chucking session. In our household we always seem to have a 'room of doom'.
Meal plans are so useful that and batch cooking keeps me somewhat organised through the working week (and lists... got to love a well ticked off list).
Good luck with your shorter list tomorrow. Sounds very doable. You deserve a more restful weekend.1 -
I completely agree @jusferbrowsing our spare room is completely full with allsorts "just in case" stuff and random stuff it doesnt help dd is a mini hoarder, if i had to pay storage for the carp i have that weve kept to saving buy again someday in 25 years time, once the item is broken anyway i would be bankrupt.
I wish i could batch cook, i have the best intentions it just never happens that way, or maybe because were just greedy and eat everything thats being cooked however i think i am going to look at this for when i am back at work, i may do a few meals over the weekend for next week and see how i get on.
I also agree about the lists, feels so much better a nice list to tick off, i also feel if i do it the night before when i have the motivation for the next day (rather than waking up and thinking I don't want to do as much) i do complete more.
@jusferbrowsing please feel free to add your lists may give me inspiration of other things i need to do but forget! Can chop and change list ideas!
I am up late today as i have been having a binge of a couple of films, not my usual types more thought provoking but i got into both films and really enjoyed them, must try and expand my watching to other genres.
Right off to bed!2 -
Just got back for the weekend from staying at my folk's place (200 mile round trip), Dad is now of hospital which is amazing as he was so very ill 8 days ago.
My list today was another deep clean of downstairs as one of my cats managed to zoomie straight into one of the water bowls tipping it all over the utility room. Cue moving the washing machine and poking about under the big and full chest freezer to sop up any residual puddles. Washing done and line dried. General daily hoovering (5 cats). Clear out fridge as it hadn't been done for about 10 days and the shelves needed a good wipe down. When OH leaves to play a gig tonight I may cut the grass and continue cutting back a flower bed I just haven't had time to do anything with this year and pull a few weeds from where we store the bins, not a big job but probably will be if its not done sooner rather than later. I might just ignore the garden and go for a run on the treadmill as its been a while and I need to break the inertia of making time for me.
Tomorrow, I need to clean the rubber on the washing machine and create some drawer space by getting rid of t-shirts and shorts we don't really wear anymore (how many 'might be good for gardening/painting' tops do two people actually need
Have a good day tomorrow @Getridofdebt66 and remember to add some nice stuff to your to do list and I promise I'll do the same.1 -
Hope your dad is on the mend now @jusferbrowsing such a scary time ❤️ but fingers crossed everything is much calmer now gets home and getting better!
And wow your list is even bigger than mine, well done. And 5 cats, i am not sure how you do that but well done we have 2 dogs and thats enough! My dd would love a cat but i am allergic so dogs it is for us, which i do prefer dogs.
I agree about the old clothes, i keep a lot as i may need them for painting or dossing about....until as i currently am all i have is dossing clothes i think 2 sets is ample, this maybe something i do before I am back at work too!
Today I have smashed my list, along with pampering dd this evening, done her eyebrows (she has inherited ohs eyebrows and self conscious) and gave her a manicure, nothing spent on that nice girly evening. Me and oh also painted the chairs outside like i was thinking in the week, they look much better, need some covers tho but thats another days problem not today. Went to the shop got some chocolate and crisps, £2.50 spent, ordered food shop for tomorrow £88 spent, also got goodies for our day out next week i will put them in a different cupboard so they dont get eaten.
Tomorrow is a somewhat busy day but not really busy:
Take dd to club
Watch England womens
Oh taking dd out tomorrow, so some time to myself not sure what i will do.
General housework
All food from stores
Nsd
Put food shop away once delivered.
