A sticky yet cooler evening here today.
I have had a busy day, i have been work, cooked tea, cleaned up, completed some paperwork for oh, caught up with a friend then just watched some tv with dd, shes off to bed now and i am going to chill for half an hour before going to bed. I do need to make a payment for a club for dd before i go to bed or forget.
These hot days certainly do seem even longer at work.
Tomorrow's plans
Work
All food from stores
Remember to take a cold drink with me tomorrow.
Take dd to her club with plenty of drinks.
Dd is also starting a new after school club which is free and shes looking forward to it.
Nsd
Remember to actually take some time to rest in this weather.
1 load of washing to wash and dry outside.
Thats all i plan on having a not so busy week due to the heat as I will make myself bad. A barely enough kind of week!0 -
Morning!
I have never been so happy to see it overcast although it is still very warm.
I have not posted as the weather has exhausted me, i have been trying not to spend. Oh gave me £100 Thursday towards bills, but had a very unwell relative so been up the hospital so treated myself to a takeaway and dd and oh too i actually needed it, been to work then the hospital ans getting in late with this weather have felt like cooking/eating so needs must.
Done a meal plan along with my shopping list, its a very big one this week £113 as i needed to start building up the freezer supplies again as there is not extra meals in there atm. Yesterday i also paid dds clubs for this month and next, whilst i had that extra money off oh do I am in front there.
Today I have a busy one as not doing housework all week certainly adds up, so here are my plans for today:
Change beds
Washing and dry outside
Put mountain of clean washing away
Take dd to her club
Collect food shop
General housework
Polish downstairs
Relaxing bath later
Chilling evening with dd
Deep clean bathroom
All food from stores
Sort summer clothes out and put winter clothes in suitcase
Think thats enough to get me started...

'Day offs' can be exhausting, glad you have some time pencilled in for yourself.
My mid week day off had me gardening and cutting mine and neighbours hedge then the MIL's and her neighbours hedge. It was sooooo hot !!! A reward trip to the garden centre means I have to plant my purchases today as I was too pooped to do it after work and they will die if this heatwave keeps up. The rest of my list is not as comprehensive as yours but I do have my first load of washing out and second doing its thing in the machine. Sorting clothes/decluttering has mainly been ignored this week so really has to happen today.
At least today feel so fresh, its lovely, I'm bouncing with energy
Have a great Saturday @Getridofdebt660 -
@jusferbrowsing my day offs are busier sometimes than being at work. But i always have something to catch up with. So far i have changed both beds, cleaned upstairs, put all the washing away and done the bathroom. I am currently with dd at her club then will go back and start downstairs...i am hoping oh will have made a start for when i get back before I need to get the shopping.
I completely agree its lovely feeling so fresh this morning, i sat in the rain in the garden this morning just to feel cooler, it was lovely although i may have looked slightly mad.
I am not sure how you managed to do all that gardening in the heat weve had no wonder your melting but glad you had a nice visit to the garden centre and it is always lovely when new plants are in.
A couple of weeks ago i brought 2 bulbs that needed to be planted asap, oh planted them the next day and they are sprouting nicely already due to the lovely weather, cant wait to see what they look like esp as they cost 25p each.0 -
Oh i have also sorted winter and summer clothes out...i have been busy so far this morning but its lovely at lunchtime when i feel like my list has got a lot smaller keeps my motivation if i have a lazy morning i struggle to get the motivation to start properly and never get as much as i need done.1

After a long week I am back to post. Been to work, watching those pennies and visiting an unwell relative its been the week that didnt want to end but its finally the weekend.
Today, i have taken dd to her club, i am waiting for the food shop to be delivered, put my mountain of clean clothes away, changed the beds, done 2 loads of washing and dried it outside and had a good clean through the house. My house is finally looking like people live here rather than squatters.
Payday on Monday. I have worked everything out and i will just have enough to pay everything, i need to pay £145 for dd club this month so it will wipe us out but that club is done for 6 months.
Tomorrows plans:
Take dd to club, £3 to spend
All food from stores
Iron uniforms for the week
General tidy up
Look for some of dds things as i have lost them and refuse to replace as they are somewhere in the house
Tidy my car
Have a relaxed evening with dd and oh.1 -
Such a terrible person not coming back here all week but I have a lot on RL, so not really had much chance. Been working full time and looking after a sick relative, its a lot atm.
So this week, i got paid Monday, i did spend £5 at maccies on 2 hot drinks and a happy meal on the way to the hospital, couldnt believe the price as nearly went to starbucks thinking there was no where else around. Other than that i have been really careful and not spent anything unnecessary. I did have to give oh £100 so thats put me back a bit but we help each other out and all bills have been paid. I also had to pay hospital parking for a couple of days, its astronomical but needs must so that was another £9.10 across the 2 days i didnt account for.
I have got lots to do today, so need to make a start but dd hasnt got her ckub until half 11 so got a bit more time today.
Todays plans
Change beds
General housework
Put clean washing away
Meal plan and online food shop
Visit friend with dd this afternoon
Washing and dry outside if possible
Get something nice to take to friends for bday treat -£5 Budget.
All food from stores
Take dd to club
Book hotel for night away, may have to pay the extra to pay when i am there as i am waiting for a cheque to come thats a week late but the longer I wait the more it will cost.
Take a different cheque in the bank for my dad.
Oh i did have a little splurge yest and spent £26 on Vinted. I got 3 pairs of pjs and 2 Christmas jumpers for me and dd. I think if i start on those things early then they maybe cheaper thank Sept time and I was right! I am happy with that. I am going to look next month and get all the cousins Christmas pjs from there (new with tags) then they are done but will have good quality pjs for Christmas at a fraction of the cost. I need to plan and I can either save or get them now cheaper, and with relatives it is not a false economy because they get that and a selection box! I wont buy more. So i will make a list later this month.
Right off to make a start!

The price of hospital parking is just awful. I paid £4 - £5 each time I went with my mum to visit my dad and over a three week stay it all added up.
I am with you in the camp of prepping for Christmas months beforehand (same with holidays birthdays etc). Spending to save later if its something you need or would buy anyway has to be MSE approved
Have a great day @Getridofdebt66 enjoy your afternoon visiting your friend1 -
I find hospital visiting a nightmare. It isn't just the parking charges, it is the time every day that you no longer do your normal self care things, like eating as well as you should.1
-
@jusferbrowsing your so right hospital parking is so expensive especially when it is out of no where and you can't budget for it because it just happens.
I am budgeting for Christmas i do have dds birthday in the next few months, shes started a list there isn't much in it tbh just bits she wants, so I will keep looking for other things. I want to get on top of the shopping with bits I am hoping to get a payrise by November time to buy the bulk but if I can make a start early i can throw some more at my debts.
@badmemory i agree its the time too, the only visiting i could make was the later one, it was 9 miles away into the city centre and i sat in traffic both ways so 1 hour visiting actually took me 2.5 hours after being out the house for 9 hours at work, i didnt mind and would do it again but the self care has gone the past few weeks and I have been running on empty.
Today has been semi successful, visited my friend, had a flat so managed to get to the garage to pump it up. Had a nail in it, got it fixed for £15 but I didn't have chance to get my friend a treat so didnt spend the £5 so only cost £10 on top of what I wanted to. Did one load of washing and nearly dried it outside but was still damp so had to do 20mins in the dryer, washing all put away and a good clean throughout. Food shop due tomorrow, £83 spent for the week including a top up on cleaning products. The only thing i have not managed to do is put the cheque in the bank for my dad, i read i can put in at the post office so will read a bit more detail about that as the banks are all closing early how can you work full time and get to the bank. Downside of Internet banking is closing the banks.
Right off to bed soon, tomorrows list
Tip run first thing as rubbish is building up
Take dd to club £3 to spend
Iron uniforms
Put food shop away
All food from stores
General housework
Washing and dry outside
Thats all for now...0
