  • Sorry your dd isn't very well. Hopefully the burgers will be enjoyed later. Enjoy your quieter day.
  • Thank you @jusferbrowsing dd is still not 100% but is on the mend. She has had a day on the sofa relaxing, she has done her homework too ready for tomorrow. The burgers were amazing, I always make my own as they taste better and dont shrink as much plus cost around £2.50 for 4 decent sized, tasty burgers where I know whats in them, got some cobs out the freezer and had some frozen chips, so easy but delicious, always a favourite in our house.

I did all the ironing and had hung new curtains by 9.30am, other than that it has been a relaxing day for me anyway, 4 loads of washing done and dried outside just about to jump in the bath then a relax again. I also nodded off outside in the sun for 10 mins earlier, woke up feeling refreshed. I only need to put my clean washing away that hopefully wont take too long tonight and sort my bag for tomorrow. Seriously not looking forward to going back especially with the warm weather, my office is a hot box at the best of times.

I also enrolled myself for another year towards my degree, i took the last year off due to circumstances but it will give me some focus, student finance applied for and i am ready to go in September another step on my plan to freedom of living my life how I want. I mean i love my job and there are some wonderful opportunities on the horizon but for the next 40 years of not even trying the job I have always wanted, is a regret i do not want and not what I want for my life.

    Tomorrow's plans:
    Go to work
Dd going to a friends after school due to work
    All food from stores
    General housework
Email another debt about a new payment plan.
Chase up another debt I havent received anything back from regarding new payment plan.

Not much for me for after work due to me easing myself back into things. I do however want to be in bed by 10pm tonight and asleep by 10.40pm and thats what i am hoping to start again, get back into the routine ready for the end of the academic year. I also in the next few weeks want to start planning some days out in the summer holidays, not expensive just have some plans of what I want to do and how we can afford to do it. I may have a few random evenings at my moms holiday home to break the weeks up and keep the costs low.

  • Right i have just gone back and worked out how much i have paid off my debt

The first is from approx, 14 months ago when I had my LBM initially i was upset is has increased in parts but overall it has gone down and tbh on the reduced income we as a family have has since August of around £1200 less a month I think we have managed amazingly esp to have paid this off or any at all and especially that it hasnt grown from the original amount. I am still surprised we are managing, i mean every month is a juggle but it wont be for long only until September/October time and has protected ohs mental health, i know mine has suffered due to this but I am getting through it and being positive and seeing results is helping me.

Tonight i am going to look at the figures and make a plan of where I will be starting to pay off first and input it into my calendar on my phone, this may take a bit longer working it out but I am going to try and work out what i want gone first.

Roll on end of August pay when my holiday is paid for and I can throw an extra £60 a month at the debts.
  • So the past 2 days have been nsds, which is amazing hoping for a third tomorrow.

Yesterday i did everything i wanted to and today is about the same, going to jump in the shower shortly and then get in my ojs with a cup of tea and watch some tv, might not be wild but keeps me happy and not online spending.

Had a bit of a headache today, think my mind has just been spinning lots at work and out of work. Got so much on my mind and money is a constant worry no matter how positive i am trying to be.

Tomorrow will be another day like the past 2 days. Not got much on just the usual. Need to ask oh for some money this week as with what i need to pay for it will be tight even with his help, only food shop and towards dds clubs. I just wish i could be in a better position, its been hard this year with the cut back of money, really hard and i am not sure if i can cope with another 5 months of it which includes the summer holidays with no money to do much with dd. That mom guilt always gets you and i can be creative just not sure about 6 weeks of being creative esp when shes asked for 1 day out and i am not sure how we can do it..shes golden, works hard at school and doesnt ask for anything and this one day we can't do, i might see if my dad can help me towards it for her.

Well thats my pity party going for a shower then going to try and put it out my mind for tonight.
  • Morning,
I have been popping back and reading diaries this week just not stopped on my own.

Well i have had 5 nsds, mainly due to having no money. Yesterday i did my food shop ready to be delivered tomorrow £72 spent, it is starting to worry me just how much the food shopping is going up by, I am also going to need petrol today, £20 to spend as I have none. The food prices are worrying esp when I am being careful and meal planning as much as I can. I could probably skim some money off my food bill if i were to go back to real basics but honestly i am not eating until 7pm at the moment back to basics would make it later. I need to speak with oh about if he can pick up another shift or 2 a week. It is getting too hard now and my mental health is seriously struggling with worry and constantly juggling. I also have dds clubs to pay this week, i may need to email the school and see if i can hold one until next week as i didnt realise i needed to pay 2 this week and its a stretch and i simply dont have the money, hopefully they will be ok until Friday when oh gets paid again.

    Todays plans:
I had a lovely lie in this morning -done!
Change dds bed (did mine yest as spilt tea on it)
    Washing and dry outside
    Put mountain of washing away
    Take dd to her club
    Get petrol
    General housework
    All food from stores
Email 2 debts about payment plans and get them set up
Tidy my desk area in my bedroom, would be good to use it for something other than dumping rubbish on.
    Polish all through the house
    General tidy outside

Right time to finish my cuppa and made a start. If i manage to get through the list i may pop back and add somethings on but think this is a good start at least.
  • Sorry to hear you are feeling low at the moment with the debt juggling. As you've said before after August you will have the holiday paid for and £60 extra each month.

I have to agree its a nightmare the rising cost of food, every week things seem to be going up and up. I'm a big believer in batch cooking so 'ready meals' are waiting to be quickly heated up when I get in from work (they're also handy for DH lunches). Even this time of year my slow cooker is put to work, if I'm not organised we are horrendous for getting a takeaway. This lady gives me some inspiration in what to batch cook and how best to store it.

That's a fairly decent list good luck with getting everything ticked off (got to love a well ticked off list)
I've been away at my folks as my dad has been in hospital so our house here needs a bit of a blast through.
My list includes getting a ton of washing done, line dried and put away
Hoover, sweep, mop through the house
Cut grass and repot some plants
30mins declutter (I'm trying to do this as daily)
Put cat screen up in living room window (did the bedroom one last night and its great)

    Have a great day @Getridofdebt66

I have no idea how the official food inflation figures are only 19% as mine are nearer 40%.  I wondered if they included takeaways.  A friend used to buy them for use every few weeks but I noticed this year that the ingredients had been downgraded, so the prices haven't gone up.  I've told him not to bother anymore & who would ever have thought I would turn down a free meal!
  • Thank you @jusferbrowsing and @badmemory

@jusferbrowsing i am sorry your dad has been unwell, i hope he is doing better now? You have a lovely list going yourself for today. I will look at the batch cooking as I need something. I have a SC my problem is OH he will eat most things except, Jackets or meat that has been in the SC he doesnt like the taste, granted he will make himself something else but then thats an extra meal so works out more iykwim! As i still need to buy the things for me and dd for the SC. I didnt think about the extra holiday payments i will have. I think i was so upset i couldnt see it in front of my face. Thats the downside of feeling stressed, you dont see the logic. Tbh oh has been great and has asked for some more shifts at work  even 1 more would make such a difference but then its childcare...if he can start at 5 were laughing as day shifts are rare.

@badmemory i agree food inflation is definitely more than 19%, or at least for our house. I am careful with the shopping I know my limits so I could save a few quid if i shopped elsewhere but I don't have the impulse control for that so it works out better in the long run for me to just use the 1 shop. Tried to do an online Aldi shop yest it worked out a bit more (excluding delivery costs) than Mr S so i am staying there for this week as all the other supermarkets are so much more for what we have, i think their basics are better quality and the same price as A and T so works out better. We havent had a takeaway for weeks, oh keeps dropping hints and saying he will pay but i would rather it go to the debts and I have made sure I have had something nice in that we will enjoy to stop the lure of a takeaway.

I have already started a lot of my list, changed beds, 2nd load in the wash already waiting to go out, tidied my desk and bedroom along with the bathroom, got petrol and dd is currently inside her club feeling very accomplished already. I have £2.50 in nector points may use for some cheap ice lollys as the weather is glorious and i need sugar, will budget £1 in cash to make it up and no more spends today.
  • Another bright and sunny morning here,
Lots of rain yesterday but it was still warm, was nice to feel it that bit cooler. I am seriously dreading the heat this week and being at work.

Today i have a  busy one as with all Sundays!
Buy fathers day card and post (have the stamp)
Take dd to her club £3 to spend.
    Iron uniforms
Do last load of washing ans dry outside...will leave oh in charge whilst I am out with dd
Shopping being delivered between 3.30-4.30 so put away
I may need to get some washing up liquid today.
    All food from stores
Put clean washing away from yesterdays and todays washing
Move my summer clothes to my wardrobe and remove the winter clothes back to suitcase...i have found more things yesterday so will find space and swap around.

Me and dd had a lovely night yesterday we watched a film and then the end of the football, she went to bed and i watched a bit of a film and came up myself, still feeling tired this morning but think its the heat.

Right best get a wriggle on and get ready so i can take dd to her club!
  • Today is going well so far just very hot and sticky here! Wish I lived near the coast to get a sea breeze!

Dd had no shorts for her club and given its currently 28 degrees here i popped and got her 2 pairs for £8, i also treated her to a milkshake and aome crisps, £3.50 spent.

Working my way through my list, had to have a jiggle on the meal plan i cant be standing cooking for ages today so pizza and chips it is unfortunately it is going to be this hot all week so may need to change what we are having around. Sorted childcare for tomorrow for the overlap for me and oh being at work. I may delay moving clothes around as i am just melting and feel sick with it.

    Progress so far today:
Today i have a  busy one as with all Sundays!
Buy fathers day card and post (have the stamp) done £2 for 2 cards and posted
Take dd to her club £3 to spend. - done
Iron uniforms - done, always a joy!
Do last load of washing ans dry outside...will leave oh in charge whilst I am out with dd - done 2 loads done need to bring in and put second out shortly
Shopping being delivered between 3.30-4.30 so put away - done
I may need to get some washing up liquid today. - forgot will ask oh to get tomorrow
All food from stores - done apart from milkshake and crisps for dd
Put clean washing away from  yesterdays and todays washing - will delay until in the week
Move my summer clothes to my wardrobe and remove the winter clothes back to suitcase...i have found more things yesterday so will find space and swap around. - again will delay

We have yet to move our fans downstairs as it is extra electric we are trying to last as long as we can to save the power.

Going for a quick cool shower to hopefully make me feel better then cook some dinner and not move all night.
