It sounds like Bear really benefits from his runs in the secure field.

exciting to have tomato flowers.  I spotted a couple yesterday and realised I'd said hello and well done to the flowers!!!!!!

Yes Bear does benefit from his field time and we do notice he is worse behaved when we havent been due to hot or very wet weather. Wet weather - chance would be a fine thing. We did have some over night but not much and also half a dozen drops this evening.
I must try taslking to the rest of the tomato plants to see if it helps not to mention praising the one with flowers.

    Evening all
Well today has been an odd one. I have had a reply about the lack of a garden waste bin. The answer was their ccontractors have issues and they are working to resolve them. Not a reply that tells me anything so I have asked for more details and pointed out that as I am not getting the service I have paid for they owe me a refund for the collections I have missed.  Even getting an apology would have been nice not to mention them not waiting to say there are "issues" and emailing me tolet me know before I complained.

We go to Mr T and find they have ripped up half the car park to re surface it so parking spots are at a premium. Howeve Bear did sit in the doorway of the car as usual and ignored all the machinery noise and tarmac smells so got lots of praise and a couple of treat when I had finished shopping.

This evening the gp surgery rang to ask if I wanted the spring covid jab. Slightly confused as I am not 70 (yet) and health wise my condition doesnt count towards getting extra jabs.I said yes anyway as it cant do any harm and I am hoping that when the nurse sees my breathing problems they may actually arrange to see me rather than diagnosing by phone.

Well enough drivel for this evening a peaceful night to all.

Still very little rain here so I am glad we are not on a water meter or it would cost a fortune.watering the pots. I have cut down what I water but it would still be a fair just doing the bits of veg I have.

A few days ago I suggested to mr LH he should have his bedroom window open in this warm weather ( we sleep seperately due to him staying awake for anything up to all night and then waking we when he goes to bed). Unfortunately I didnt bank on a neighbours German Shepherd wh barks every time some goes past the house , not to mention the trains - the line is pretty close to us, the council cutting the grass at 7am etc so the last two mornings he has been up by 9am and very grumpy becauseof it.

Had my covid jab and Mr LH kindly picked me up after I walked there. Bear walked as usual as it cloudedover just whe we went out and called at the vet to weigh him and make an appointment for his boosters and check up.

Nice surprise in the bank account as the disabled cost of living payment was in the bank so that was transferred to savings as I dont need it at present and it will stop me spending it. Also cashed out a fiver on swagbucks which will be in paypalin the next few days.

I am now enjoying feeling a little cooler with the door and window open and going to have a ply with Bear.Night night.

Mr SA has had a message to say he’s getting one but it’s not arrived yet. He’s also been invited for a Covid jab but the nearest place that’s doing them is miles away so he’s not bothering. So annoying there’s no consideration to people who don’t have transport or can’t just hop on a bus.

I knew I would get the col payment but was surprised it came so quickly.

Sun_Addict I agree there is no consideration given to people who dont or cant drive or use public transport easily. The covid jab was at my gp which is about a 25 miinute walk at my pace which is slow. mr LH would have taken me but (a) I want to maintain my independance and (b) the exercise is good for me even if I end up shattered.
Our buses are all ones that are wheelchair accessable and the pavements are all raised so wheelchairs can get on easilywithout the drivers needing to use the ramp. I have even seen a fairly large scooter manage to get on our single decker.

    Hello all
Mr LH up early again today but I did notice his window is still open. He wasnt sure what had woken him sohe is still grumpy  especially after he found he had bought the wrong size UV tube for the pond filter so out to the garden centre again which we both loathe. It is quite big and to get to the pond place we have to go on avery convoluted route as they seem to have made it as difficult as possible to get to. We have also not found any fire exits marked so if there was afire I think people might be in trouble. Sorry it is the sort of thing we take note of.

I am trying to find an NHS dentist near as I havent had one for some time for various reasons and need some treatment. The nearest one to me that is accepting NHS is in Worcester which is 68 miles away which would involve a train and a taxi so isnt really convenient. I feel a pointless letter to to my MP coming on. I say pointless because he is useless and will tell me a load of rubbish about how many more dentists the torys have trained etc etc. Unfortunately it doesnt matter how many they train if they dont pay them enough to cover the treatment they provide so end up going private.

I have just checked my email to find a reminder for an appointment with my neurologist in the city next week.An interesting concept since I havent had the letter for the appointment. At least I have nothing on next week so there is no problem to going.

Yet anothe rhot day with no rain so more watering in the garden. The good news for today is when we went out of the back gate we found we have had a green garden waste bin delivered. Moaning does work but it a shame I had to.

Money saving I used up some lettuce with salad for our dinner tonight along with some cold mest that needed eating up. before it went over entirelyand a banana that was not the best was gratefully consumed by Bear who loves them as long as I give it to him in pieces aas he wont eat it whole. Washing done and dried outside.

WellI I think that covers my day.I hope yours wa more interesting.

If you need dental treatment there is a helpline number on the NHS site to call if you can't find a dentist. Would MR LH consider earplugs at all? A grumpy Mr LH for the rest of the summer feels unfair for both of you.
