I feel your pain with stuff being moved and then left until they get round to the job!

Thanks jwil I think your dh and mine are quite similar in some ways. Needless to say the garage door is still the same and the conservatory is still full. Yesterday was too cold and today was too wet. Not sure what the rain had to do with it as he would have been inside the garage but it is what it is and I just have to be patient especially as there is rain forecast every day for the next 2 weeks. Hopefully one day will be dry in the afternoon and not too cold.Joy today as I caught the bus at our local stop when I went to post a parcel. I was very naughty while outas I bought a new polo shirt in Sainsbury and 3 books from the charity shop. The polo shirt was because I dont have that many clothes that fit and I am hoping for some nice weather eventually. I am trying to los some weight so I dont want to get many clothes but one of the few tops I have disintegrated at the end of last last so it is a replacement and I did check the charity shop first. If I can lose the weight (probably not in time for this year as there is a lot of it to go) I will have more clothes available.I have done some surveys, put washing away and hoovered the hallway and lounge. HM steak and kidney pie with a small baked potato, carrots, peas and runner beans for me and chips and peas for Mr LH.Bear has been barking and lunging at people and dogs today so each time he was brought straight home, given a break and then taken out again when he had calmed down. The second time he behaved beautifully and is sitting on the sofa with Mr LH ta the moment. He is pushing the boundaries at the moment which is what I would expect along with some regression of his behaviour. He has only been with us for 6 weeks so is still in the settling stage. He has good days and not so good days but the good days outnumber the less good and he is gradually stopping or at least reducing some of the unwanted behaviours.Thst enough for for now so goodnight.2

£5 cashed out on surveys and a sale on ebay today with a bid on something else that ends tomorrow. Another 12 items listed in the last couple of days which will start tomorrow evening. I have 2 tiny tomato plants from the half dozen I planted a couple of weeks ago so have put some more in. I have also put some lettuce in the green house in trays. I dont know if they will grow s they are old seeds. Also made a start on weeding the patio and path which will take some time. I tried the grass in the front garden but it is still too wet to cut. Tomorrow if the weather is decent I will continue with the fence, it would have been too wet today. i will be very glad when its done but wiill take while.Mr LH did look at the garage door yesterday but no go so I get a qote next week and hope they can do it soon as I cant use the conservatory until its done so I might have to beg.A friend called today with her dog and Bear accepted him into the house pretty well although a bit stressed. He has seemed tired since so I think it was hard mental work for him.Thats it for this evening so a peaceful Sunday for tomorrow and Hppy Mothering Sunday for all the Mums out there.5

Out painting the fence at 9am but only managed 1 panel before I lost the enthusiasm especially as I had to move several pots to do any more. That was after shifting a couple of boxes full of concrete stones which are gradually going in the dustbin. I refuse to pay to get rid of at the recycling centre. It will take time but our council seems to want to charge for everything they can get away with. After walking bear I gave the front lawn its first cut of the season. Its not taken much off but as the grass is still wet underneath I couldnt do much more.Roast Chicken dinner which wil stretch to risotto tomorrow and probably lunch as well then the carcass will go to stock to make some soup. No spending today but have wrapped the ebay item that sold yesterday all rady to go to the PO in the morning.. Now watching Sister Act while I write this so thats enough for now. Sleep well.4

I'm not sure which council you fall under but the one I'm in and the neighbouring one to the north both allow a bag of hardcore/rubble to be taken free of charge before they start charging. Handy if you are going there anyway."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee1

Sounds like a productive day.You are a very industrious eBay seller.2

jwil Thank you for that information. I have just shecked the council website and they allow 1 free bag per day. I hadnt realised that . We will have to make a trip to the recycling centre at some point in the near future as we sort out the stuff to go back in the garage plus there are two bags of garden waste to go. I refuse to pay £55 for a bin when we pass the recycling centre road on the way to the supermarket.Blackcats The stuff I sell on e bay are mainly things that my bil gives me that belonged to my mum and sister. That source is coming to an end so I dont think there wil be much more unless anything happens to my bil when there will be a 4 detached house to clear. We have a 3 bed terrace so if and when that happens I think we will need a storage unit and lots of boxes. Thankfully he is very healthy so that scenario is not so likely to happen. As usual nothing from dd for Mothers day not even a text. I dont think she realises how it makes me feel that even tahat seems to be too much trouble. Dont get me wrong we get on well and I know she works Mothers day but its not how she was brought up as we always went to see my mum.his morning was PO trip plus £12 spent in Sain**** on essential medical stuff which I need weekly and some fruit. Very proud of myself for resisting the hot cross buns which were calling to me. I am curious toknow why they are still the same price as last year when ingredients have gone up so much. They could be a loss leader but in that case I would expect them to be marked as a special offfer.Bear had his run in the secure field and was much better behaved than last week thankfully. We even managed to avoid the rain which started after we got home. He has slept all afternoon as he hardly stopped running. He will go out later with Mr LH as usual and hopefully it wont be raining.1 load of washing done and it will no doubt take a couple of days to dry. Tonight I have found another baby tomato palnt and there is possibly another on its way.Surveys done and am about halfway to another £5 cash out. I might manage it by the end of the week.Goodnight

@ladyholly, I can't help laughing at Bear's naughty exploits at the field, what a little wind-up merchant he is! I'm so happy that he has found some canine chums, too x
